"Yes! He had said that, well, that he was bein' followed, that someone was after him, but I told him not to pay it no mind."
"Well. Have you made his fears... justified?"
"Oh! Uh... yes, sir! Right away, sir! I mean... already done, sir! ...may I go?"

"It's so hard to find good work these days. Vanessa would have had it done, the man recruiting like usual or his body on my doorstep, packaged up neat as a bow. This morning, the town was abuzz that someone had disappeared. It turned out a rumor (the man was right as rain, just overslept and worried the neighbors), but perhaps it was true after all? As the day passed, a few people talked about a quiet house on the outskirts of town, then more and more spoke of it. How lights which had been on were suddenly off, and the paper wasn't picked up, going on three days now. Who lived there? I certainly don't know, but it seemed he had made some presence here in this town, and his absence was being felt now...

Yes, night is 48 hours this time. I still want to give some transition time. It will also probably end late, due to my final final happening the following morning.

So. Night officially ends in 4 hours or so, but I've got a final exam in the morning, so it doesn't. I will probably end the night in about 16 hours or so and write up the narration then. I have sent out PMs to the people who are missing night actions, so hopefully they respond, and we get all the actions in. That said, they had warning, and everyone was here for the day, so... no excuses. Anyway, that's your status update for the day (night?), and I'm off to study and sleep, in one order or another.

I will be headed off to sleep soon and will write the narration in the morning. However, I have errands that last into the night, so it might take longer than I expect... No changes to night actions will be accepted at this time.

Oh, yes. I suppose I should make an announcement. You see, I was planning to write up the narration yesterday before said errands. Then I overslept into the errands and didn't get back until pretty late, at which point I promptly went to sleep. I got up in the morning, started to work on the narration, got it mostly done, and realized that Day would end on Christmas or around Christmas festivity time. So...

The Game will resume on December 26th, EST, probably around noon or sometime soon after.

In the meantime, Happy Holidays! I figure that, even if we did have the day going on during this time, it would have to be extended, or people would be busy. I realize delays, but I figure you're a bit used to them happening by now.

Specialist Explains Decrease of Crime

With the recent outbreak of gang wars, it seemed like every night would be a test of luck. If you woke up the next morning, you knew someone else didn't. The Police could do nothing. If they did, it was another death. But no more. Mr. Internet Flea, a so-called "Baner," spoke to us in an interview: "Yeah, people think nothing can be done to stop these killers, and they might be right. Still, it takes time for people to die, and while they're still alive, they can be saved. Medicine and technology has improved in leaps and bounds, and it's all boiled down to a race of prediction. Those like me, we find out likely targets and keep tabs, and the lack of recent kills is surely a testament to our skills." Thanks to them, these deathless nights may persist, and perhaps we can return to our peaceful lives of just last month...

New Bank Established, Stops Unlawful Transactions

Whispers abound that the Mooney and Shiner gangs have been spreading their power through money, through under-the-table transactions supporting needy businesses who don't know what they're getting themselves into. Even the Police isn't too free from these rumors of bribery and favoritism. Still, a new establishment, The Fiery Tower (TFT) Bank has declared they they will put a stop to this, implementing what they call recruitment blocking protocols. The details are not yet public, but the hope is that these unlawful transactions can be reduced in size and prevalence.

Killer on the Loose!

When a man spoke out a few days ago about being almost murdered in his sleep, it fell on mostly deaf ears. However, just this night, we came to the realization that there is indeed a Killer on the loose, under the moniker of aspi. What he plans or why he kills is as of yet unknown, but we recommend extreme caution when leaving the house at night.

Two people didn't wake up this morning. Sure, it came as a surprise, but after I saw that body... we have worse things to worry about than petty gang wars. Perhaps these gangs are at the root of it all, but there's something going on here, something that has slipped past my gaze these few long weeks I've investigated this case. I don't know for sure what it is or who's behind it, but I now plan to devote my every effort to finding out...
