    Default Critters

Hi, so this is the place to plug my own webcomic?

Where do evil wizards get all of the captive monsters to guard their castles or dungeons? There must be some kind of evil wizard petshop, that sells baby monsters, ready to be trained. But what happens when the baby monsters escape?

Critters is the story of a group of child monsters, who escape from a dwarven slave train, and learn about friendship while struggling to survive in a dangerous fantasy world.

    Updates Mondays.

Critters Book 2: Underdark has begun! Eddy the Ettercap and his ... friends(?) have escaped from the dwarves' slave train and are loose in the endless tunnels of the underdark. Here they will meet new allies, but there are also new threats chasing them. It's a hard life being a wandering monster.

This is a neat concept for a storyline. I'm digging it.

Just go down to the docks, book passage on the good ship Harm's Way, set sail for the Isles of Immaculate Doom, pick up the Orb of Despair which is already waiting for you, and bring it back to deliver to that crazy old coot who lives in that creepy old tower in the Swamp of a Thousand Screams. What could possibly go wrong?"

Fun comic. I get the feeling the Drider is not someone our young friends should trust.

Pulling myself away at chapter two since i need to go out soon. liking it so far though!

The Drider fella keeps reminding me of an old freind's character i was really fond of, she was skinny, had short hair, and a tendancy to laugh at just about everything too. not sure if i'll be able to keep reading without heartbreak from the memmories

Hey, I like you monster a day thing, too. The Avengers as a D&D party was great!

The dwarves are investigating the derailed train and collecting the bodies of their fallen. And the number of eyes on the masks seem to indicate rank.

Lady Linnorm cares about her daughter only as part of her possessions and not as a daughter because she is evil? Shouldn't that be the other way around? I mean I'm buying it. We haven't seen enough of her to say otherwise. I just think the reasoning is a bit off.

Anyway, it seems that the hunt for our little runaways is about to begin.

Yeah, Evil people can care about their children. I would say her lack of concern makes her (more) evil rather than the other way around, too.

Of course that is the punishment a medusa would choose for underlings that failed her. Immortalizing them as a statue. It is a classic punishment with a lot of style that saves money for decorations. In my opinion freezing is a bit cooler but it wouldn't fit there.

Well that kinda sucks. The poor guy went to a heck of a lot of trouble to bring her the news, and dies for it.
That's not really a great way to inspire loyalty among one's minions. She needs to go back and re-read the Evil Overlord's Handbook.

The dwarf seemed to think it was some sort of reward/honour so it may still work.

The evil Overlord’s handbook has a chapter about turning minions into art?

Anyway, being turning someone to stone is not the worst punishment that villains have inflicted on their minions and/or enemies. It is quick, painless and should be reversible. And we don't know how often this guy has disappointed Lady Linnorm. It's possible that this is just his latest failure. At some point even the kindet, most merciful and patient Overlord has to make a show of power and authority and punish those that fail or oppose them. As long as they remember that there is a small difference they should be fine.

Oh, well. Now our heroes are chased by a blind henchman. I wonder how Lady Linnorm will punish him when he returns without Lena. Allowing him to become a statue wouldn't work, right?

And it seems Eddie found a very aggressive door. That should be interesting. Especially if the maker is still around.

Poor Eddie, no respect, no gratefulness. If he hadn't disabled the trap the other would be in pain now. And what does he get for his trouble? Nothing but criticism.
