She did have that Feel bad/remorse expression on her face after she threw it thou. Either that or that throw killed him.
I somehow have my doubts that Alison would simply walk away after killing or heavily injuring someone, even if they are Patrick.

The hit knocked off Patrick's rubber mask, and she saw it was really Old Man Jenkins underneath.

What if his whole plan was to play on her hot temper and get her to act threateningly on security cameras which his building no doubt has? He probably didn't expect to be hit (I also interpret the panel with the shocked expression as realising what she just did), just having some arm flailing or smashed furniture to show.
She's frustrated over her own privileges as a biodynamic, but it's another highly respected biodynamic she assaulted now, it might just be taken seriously!

Also aren't they still in the same room as the sleeping physicists? I wonder if the accidental TK hurt any of them.

So he only thinks to give gifts to her, and this is like his.. 2nd or 3rd gift? I assume it was extremely significant/well thought out that he went threw the effort, as he said, hes never considered to give a gift before that time.

I also did an archive binge, and now I'm curious about who Graveyard is/what their powers are. Cleaver (who we've met) and Graveyard were the two names mentioned most frequently as Menace's henchmen(henchpeople?)...someone capable of telekinetically animating dead bodies, maybe?

I always assumed Graveyard was the gaunt woman who visited Cleaver to show him the tape of mega girl giving up the mask back in chapter 2.

Rereading the pages I see that she wasn't identified by name, but under the circumstances it still seems a good guess. They are familiar with each other ("Hey Cleaver. Miss me?"), she appears comfortable in his presence, casually insults him, and includes herself in the suggestion to seek out mega girl ("maybe we should ask her what she meant by that...").

That sounds much more like one of his allies/fellow henchmen than a random nobody hired to bring him information about mega girl.

Now that you mention it, that's probably who that was. Though I still want to know why she chose that name for herself, or had it given to her.

Todays comic is sad. Patrick fixing the mug he wanted to give Alison shows that she meant something to him. And the fact that she cries shows that Alison still cares more about him than she wants to admit.

The fact that she tries to fly is interesting. It shows she wants to be alone but at the same time it indicates something about her mindset regarding the Mary situation. Flying is a very "hero" thing to do for someone who put the mask away. Maybe she is acting more like MegaGirl than like Alison right now. It would make sense, searching for Mary stirred up her past with the Guardians and now it turns out that the guy who inspired her to seek an better way to safe the world turns out to have no idea what he is doing.

Bad pun. Makes me want to hit someone.

New Comic: Alison seems to enjoy flying a lot and I mean who wouldn't in her place? But it seems to require fokus. Or it is tied to her emotions. She starts to fly while still being sad/angry about Patrick starts to fall when she is distracted by the fact she really flies and then flies again with a really exited expression.

New Comic. The familys reaction to Alisons powerup is wonderful. Mom is happy but concerned since this is more than her known powers getting stronger, Dad talks about possums and Jennifer is the classic little sister and rather sarcastic about the whole thing. At least she is mostly over the whole its unfair that Alison gets the whole attention mess. "Nice hair." is the best reaction if someone suddenly gets (new) superpowers. And of course Mom notices that Alison has more to talk about.

That really is the first this someone would do, isn't it? "Hey mom, look at what I just learned." Not immediately use it to solve a crisis or fight a supervillian, but instead share their new joy with people they care about.

Now she just needs to post a few selfies to Facebook and she's good.

I know its what I would do if I got superpowers. Especially with flight or teleport. The look on their faces would totally be worth all consequences. On the other hand I'm not sure if I would make a good hero.

Alison talks with her family and all is well again... Wait a moment is that Furnance? So much for all is well. That might go badly. Why do they even let this guy run around? I mean threaten to murder people live on TV is at least against some laws or not? Not that I want to discuss this it just confuses me.

It might be, but Allison had a whole rant about how she did that exact thing (outside the hospital) and no one even blinked or tried to punish her for it. And she's relatively reasonable as far as biodynamics go, which we know Furnace is not.

If that fight happens I hope that it solves both problems.

I still think there is a difference between lashing out against a crowd that calls you a monster for attacking the guy who tried to burn down a hospital with a good friend inside because he didn't like that a „freak” uses her power to safe lifes as a organ donor and threatening people who have accused someone of rape and similar crimes that he will burn down their homes and attack their families for it.
But it seems the politic on biodynamics is „don't provoce them”.

I doubt Furnace goes after Mary. He seems to hold a grudge against Allison, so the two might fight it out in mid air, or he actually does go after her family while she's on the phone with them.
Though actually looking at the comic again, he seems to be far away, as it's still day for him.

It seems Furnance is on a rescue mission. Unfortunately there are a few problems. The biggest ones are his language skills and his attitude. And it seems being shot in the leg makes him loose control of his powers. Seriously who had the bright idea to send this guy on this mission?

Since everyone's powers has been increasing, I wonder if "goes supernova when wounded" is a recent development for furnace (if it was a well-known ability, the cartel soldier would probably not have shot from so close). I also wonder the people he came to rescue just got incinerated because this.

But, yeah, whoever put him up to this rescue is stupid, incompetent, insane or, if done on purpose knowing the likely result, evil (fulfilling multiple of these is also a possibility).

If the prisoners are barbecue Furnance has a problem - no one will believe him it wasn't on purpose, not with the way he has acted so far.

It doesn't matter if this mission was his or someone else idea, the person responsible deserves a moron-sign welded to their forehead.

New Update. The good news is that Furnance didn't kill the hostages. The bad news are that he ruined the other supers plan and made her angry. And it seems he acted alone. At least he meant well. Furnance you get an point for trying. And loose fifty for being a moron.

Has anyone an idea what kind of power the Lady has? Some kind of shield? Or maybe Access to an pocket dimension? Most likely not teleport, she wouldn't have brought the other girls back with her in that case.

Some sort of phase displacement power?

It's not sure he acted alone. It's possible he was send by the US government or a US agency and the girl hero was send by the Mexicans.
Is pendejo her name or an insult for Furnace? I figure the latter.

However, why does he has to get hot enough to melt a bullet that's already done the damage and is probably lodged in a wall right now?

I think it is training/reflexes. Furnance gets shot at and in a automatic reaction goes Nova to protect himself from bullets. It doesn't seem something he can control. But as the new girl said, in that case he shouldn't play hero.

The reason I think he acted alone is that I assumed that neighboring countrys coordinate this kind of mission. But I'm most likely wrong.

Has there actually any male characters amongst Megagirl's peers that has been portrayed in a positive light in this comic?

also would you feel any different if inferno was a girl who got put into a similar situation which accidentally trigger her powers and almost killed a bunch of civies? and to top it all off a male super hero was undercover and complained about how girl-inferno botched the sting operation, call her an idiot in spanish and tell her to GTFO because girl-inferno can't control her powers? How would you all feel if the situation was gender reversed?
