I would describe it as "languorous + acute awareness of the body (esp. genitals/erogenous zones) of yourself/someone else and a desire to use that awareness for pleasure."

Which, I feel I need to point out, is like the direct antithesis of some forms of arousal I've seen which looked angry and violent and decidedly unsexy.

Now, see, to me, that sounds more like feeling horny. I know that feeling.

I would attribute feeling sexy to knowing that somebody is looking at me and thinking sexy thoughts about me. And I have never felt that way.

Okay now that the primary point is somewhat discussed I have also had a realization that ties into that. I think the fundamental reason tying how I am thinking about my gender right now together is that I don't care what I look like. So what is most appealing in trying on makeup and other things is that I am actively thinking about my appearance instead of passively accepting myself. I am trying to figure out how I feel about what I look like. And I don't feel much about what I look like.

Well, if you really didn't care, then trying on makeup probably wouldn't appeal to you. So you do care on some level, you just don't really know what that level is yet. So, you're trying stuff out to see what will make you like the way you look.

That's all speculation on my part, really, but it makes sense in my head.

Actually, I get kitten therapy on mornings I hit snooze on the alarm clock. One of our cats (who is always "starving") tries to get me out of bed so I'll feed him. Though he usually "massages" my butt or side, rather than my back.

Can't decide whether that deserves an "unfortunately" or not, though. Still haven't decided whether all the way ace or properly straight would be better, but I don't like the sort of in-between spot I'm in.

In my case, they requested that I should not do any such thing.

However, it probably wouldn't work very well on the beard in the first place. Or it would be super painful.

I wouldn't. It'll make laser less effective and using it on your face is generally a bad idea anyway.

You don't want to epilate facial hair. It's of a different root construction than body hair.

Adding my voice to the crowd. You do not want to use an epilator on your face. There will be blood. There will be pain. There will be bad things. Beard hair is very thick and securely rooted.

One time I went to IPL, and the person doing it decided to epilate my face after the zapping. It wasn't terribly effective, and resulted in angry red patches and scabbing on my face that were murder to hide with makeup. Not letting them do that again.

Okay, so that is a BIG no to epilating my face. Thanks. Glad I brought up here instead of just doing it.

Though, now I don't really have a reason to buy an epilator. So that's a plus. I don't mind shaving my legs once a day.

Ah. I live in Michigan. I've seen commercials for schools that offer MT training, so I'm guessing it isn't seen as adult entertainment here.

I prefer a female massage therapist. Not saying I'd walk out if that's all that was available. In fact, I haven't. But the one time with a male, it wasn't as relaxing. And he didn't pay attention to what I had asked him to not do. He wasn't bad, when he worked my back. He certainly knew what he was doing. But it wasn't the best I'd ever had.

I'm just north of Detroit. I have no idea where any massage places are, but that's mostly because I haven't looked. There may be some seen as the adult variation, but since I've seen a bunch of commercials for MT training through Everest Academy (have no idea where that is), I assumed that most massage places are for therapeutic/relaxation purposes and that's it.

I snuck upstairs at around this time last night (oops, in all fairness Civ 5 just begs one more turn) and as soon as I went in the bathroom the cat was jumping at the door and yowling. Annoying thing, I am the only person he is so demanding to see... main reason I can't sneak upstairs successfully most of the time.

I know exactly what you mean. I used to have trouble with that, but now I'm pretty happy with my sexuality as it is. Look but don't touch. That's pretty much all I want, and as it happens that's incredibly easy to achieve.

Of course, I'm also aromantic. It hardly matters how much or how little interest I have if I'll never be in a relationship. So what I have to say wouldn't be too helpful, romantically speaking. I mean you didn't say either way but a lot of aces are romantics.

As far as wishing I was one or the other though, yeah. Wishing I could want the whole "wife, two kids, dog and white picket fence" thing and "I wish I just didn't have any feelings about it at all so it would stop distracting me." I remember that. Occasionally I'll still wonder what it would be like to have a family. I just keep telling myself that I won't have that because I don't want it, and that's fine. I know, it sounds trite. Eventually though, I think you'd believe it. I did, although I'm also close to seven years older than you so I've been at it longer. Hah, but I've always been a slow learner!
