Re: League of Legends LIX: Ice Cream, Stamps, and Lorn
Olaf doesn't need mana to be a lane bully. E and W cost nothing in terms of mana and basically make him a bitch to deal with for most melee top laners. Infinite mana just makes him a better lane bully since he can Q spam on top of the E spam and W sustain.

Re: League of Legends LIX: Ice Cream, Stamps, and Lorn
Cait is stronger with Red than Blue at most stages of the game, though. At level 1-3 especially, Cait with Red is almost a certain zoned enemy ADC unless the support has sustain or the enemy duo significantly outplays you, while Cait with Blue isn't as problematic to deal with(and she was outpushing her opponents anyway, so added waveclear isn't a huge benefit).

Re: League of Legends LIX: Ice Cream, Stamps, and Lorn
Cait with blue is better at levels 5-9 and worse the rest of the game.
Also, yes, giving first blue happened in pro matches occasionally way back in S2, but the changes to how asymmetrical lanes play out blunt the potential advantages of the tactic.

Re: League of Legends LIX: Ice Cream, Stamps, and Lorn
I love having Blue buff when I'm Ezreal. Granted, that has less to do with Ezreal and more to do with my mana management being absolutely utterly horrific*, but still.
Also, I'm finding Tristana's W to be borderline broken at my level of play. At player level 16, people still lose track of their HP badly enough for me to get at least two virtually-unscathed W-Q-maybe R-W tower dive kills per game.
Totally unrelated thought:
I love that Twisted Fate got a soccer-related skin, especially since I actually was a soccer ref at one point. It's kinda weird that there's two batches of soccer-related skins without one for Lee Sin though. Not terribly disappointing, mind you, given how many skins Lee Sin already has, but still. If I were choosing thematic champions for their next one in four years, I'd pick Lee Sin, Orianna, Rammus (as an actual soccer ball), and possibly Syndra.
*Seriously, half the time I actually run Clarity FFS. I should probably do something about that.**

Re: League of Legends LIX: Ice Cream, Stamps, and Lorn
If you're having trouble with mana management, consider putting 3 points in utility for mana regen masteries, and buy 3-4 flat mana regen glyphs when you reach level 20. The glyphs regen 0.33 mana/5 each, so 3 of them and 3 points in utility will give you 4 mana regen. That's usually more than enough to be spam happy on an ADC. If even that isn't enough, consider backing more often.
And yes, Tristana is awesome I think I got my first pentakill in League somewhere around your level just by getting really fed and chasing people down with W. And even people in gold still do this, although they're a lot better for punishing you for going in when you shouldn't (i.e. exhaust and CC you immediately when you jump to finish off someone, so your jump doesn't reset and you die at the turret or something).

Re: League of Legends LIX: Ice Cream, Stamps, and Lorn
just have your friendly top laner solo the enemy topside buff at level 1, back, then tp to his turret
works 100% of the time when no one is paying attention

Re: League of Legends LIX: Ice Cream, Stamps, and Lorn
After a few games I have this summary:
Amumu doesn't even show up. Around 15 mins in Yasuo leaves game calling everyone else a noob. We surrender as 3v5 is too brutal.
Playing Amumu myself, proceed to fail 3 ganks. End Game with 3/5/9. Gnarf. Luckily their Jungler (Lee Sin) was worse.
Try out Teemo again. 8/0/5 in a bot game. My Jungler came exactly once.
Leona Support, my ADC has connection problems. Jinx and Morgana maul our faces as Tristana is too agressive and well 3/9/12. But we won thanks to our Riven that really kicked ass.Have a nice Day,

Re: League of Legends LIX: Ice Cream, Stamps, and Lorn
Question: who here's on Mumble and plays a lot of Jayce. I need to throw myself against you, whoever you are, with you being Jayce and me being any top laner I play. I'm really sick and tired of always doing poorly when matched against one.
I've started streaming again.

Re: League of Legends LIX: Ice Cream, Stamps, and Lorn
So this marks the first series of games for the LCS played on the 4.10 patch.
Should be interesting to see how everything is affected, both pick/ban priority and item build paths.
Spoiler: TSM vs CLG PICK/BANSDoublelift already rocking the Tristana, Nidalee not even meriting a glance in pick/bans.
EDIT:
Spoiler: TSM vs CLG Early GameBoth Kassadin AND Orianna working towards Rod of Ages first item, Link not even picking up Chalice, just going straight for that rod.
Both Lucian AND Tristana getting first item BOTRK.Last edited by Olinser; 2014-06-28 at 03:06 PM.

Re: League of Legends LIX: Ice Cream, Stamps, and Lorn
First we can, thanks to an enemy leaving, drag the game out to 40 minutes before the uberfed yasuo just pentakills us. Then I join a bot game that lasts 47 minutes before we can destroy their nexus.
Malphite/Poppy top (against Nunu and Blitzcrank), Talon mid (against Annie) and Leona and Katarina bot (against Lux and Kog'Maw)... They started to push agressively from the very start. But thanks to Malphite dying quite often, I think me with 2 deaths, the rest with 4 to 13 deaths that this was rather hard...
At the end I just ditched my vision stone for an infinity edge...Have a nice Day,
Krazzman

The hard part of getting a penta with udyr is not having everyone run away.

Re: League of Legends LIX: Ice Cream, Stamps, and Lorn
I, uhh, no comment.
That's exactly how it happens
To be fair I had Tri-Force and alacrity boots. Also I think I got like an instant triple when my pheonix last hit a group of them that had just ate ez ulti, trynd spin, and zed damage.

Re: League of Legends LIX: Ice Cream, Stamps, and Lorn
The sheer amount of Pentakills I could have as Udyr if the enemies would just fight instead of running away is somewhat frustrating, compared to the number I've actually had (0).
Side note: My toplane Jarvan has to-date caused 3 ragequits and 2 laneswaps over the course of 3 games. I have not yet played a game where the enemy team had a top laner past the 10 minute mark. To be fair, I was against three squishy melee people, so it was all really good matchups, but still.
