Re: Civ 5 Multiplayer 6: There Can Be Only One. (G&K, BNW)
Sorry guys, didn't have time to post here. Already tried to revert to turn once but it did not work as it stil shows it is as my turn. I'm trying to revert again right now.

Re: Civ 5 Multiplayer 6: There Can Be Only One. (G&K, BNW)
We had the same bug in fifth GitP game. I emailed support and they erased the phantom turns. Once they had done that, reverting and redoing my turn fixed the game.

Looks like I was skipped, but since it was only turn 3 it's not a big loss, at least for me.

Well, your turn wasn't AI:d either. The problem is that GMR has added phantom turns that neither the players nor the AI have actually played.

Well, I've emailed their customer support, hopefully something can be resolved.

Might it be easier to just restart? We were only 3 turns in anyway.

Re: Civ 5 Multiplayer 6: There Can Be Only One. (G&K, BNW)
I didn't get the reverts to work before the admins of the site removed the phantoms. If they haven't responded to you, I'm afraid the rollbacks won't do anything.
If nothing else works, existing saves can be set up as GMR games, right? You can just take your most recent GMR save, upload it as a new game and we can continue playing from the last turn you actually took.

It allowed me to revert back until my last turn, but not beyond.

Re: Civ 5 Multiplayer 6: There Can Be Only One. (G&K, BNW)
Well, if we can't revert properly, might as well restart. I doubt having to reroll the start (which is basically all it amounts to, since we only played 3 turns or so) is really a big deal for anyone, even if it was a good start.

Yeah, I'd say a restart is probably the easiest way to get things going again.

Re: Civ 5 Multiplayer 6: There Can Be Only One. (G&K, BNW)
I'd be fine with restarting... turns out what I thought was three silver were actually three salt(and my ruins* were just social policy points).
*out of curiosity... is it a guarantee that they will be ruins within 3 hexes of your warrior's starting location? or have I just had really good luck?Last edited by Togath; 2014-06-24 at 12:04 AM.

Restarting is alright with me if it's alright with everyone else.

I don't feel the need to restart, but if we do I will take advantage of the sale to buy everyone Denmark.

Re: Civ 5 Multiplayer 6: There Can Be Only One. (G&K, BNW)
I rank culture ruins among the higher tier of ruins. Tech ruins might be even better, but culture ruins are still great. They give you your first social policy way faster, which in turn kickstarts your social policy acquisition, and also gives you all sorts of benefits earlier. The true benefit of an early culture ruin is way greater than it initially seems.

Re: Civ 5 Multiplayer 6: There Can Be Only One. (G&K, BNW)
Early tech ruin usually only puts you ahead 6-8 turns, early food will put you ahead 4-6 turns, while an early culture ruin (especially on standard) will put you ahead by 20 turns.

I'm ok with restarting as well. I can revert as soon as I get home as I can't access GMR site from work. It seems Giantitp is obscure enough for our IT guys not to block but GMR is not. Maybe they are Civ fans as well.

Tech is arguably more important than culture, though. Having a new tech is usually much more useful than a new policy.
Regardless, here are the links for the new game. If people were to remind me of their timezones, I could make the turn order work better this time around.

GMT, no plus or minus anything.
I assume everyone hasn't picked up missing DLC in the sale? No idea if there's still a cheap upgrade to a complete edition.Last edited by Closet_Skeleton; 2014-06-24 at 11:38 AM.
