Cool and/or Explanatory Names Are Overrated - In Character

"Ah, well, I can't really fault Sperr. Everybody else's worse option is the one that's better for him, after all."

He turns to the native. "You should realize by now that we're never your enemy. We simply defended ourselves. How that event will change your people's reaction to us is up to you."

[Tjallen]

"Or I could murder this guy and go wait by where our guide is picking us up. As long as you don't inform them most of their wounds would be from teeth after all."

[Archmage1]

"Heading back leaves the question of the lighthouse unanswered. I would prefer to avoid that, and there doesn't seem to be a reason to kill this fellow. He thought we were attackers, and attacked us. He was mistaken in that, but that isn't a reason to kill him."

[Tjallen]

"Well you wouldn't need to go with me, hopefully we are out of ambushes for such a small island. I guess, but I don't think he is in much of a pleasant mood and if he has a whole village worth of backup, I think someone might end up very dead."

[Archmage1]

"Perhaps, perhaps not. Engaging us again would be fairly foolish of them, since he knows that we are not working with the invaders. Additionally, it is doubtful that there are a lot of warriors in his tribe, as this island doesn't have the resources to support many, and they don't fish, as no one has ever seen them. Losing more people is going to hurt them very badly."

[Tjallen]

"Well if you want me to go wait for you I will, if you want me to continue on I am not sure the 'monsters' will accept my help. So yeah, what do you want to do?"

[Archmage1]

"Personally? If we are not going to try and make up for the deaths, going to the village is a bad idea. Since we want to go to the lighthouse, we should climb a tree, see where it is, and head towards it. We can take this fellow with us, and hopefully, he will be able to persuade any visitors not to attack us."

[ben-zayb]

"What shall we do? That's easy. Let's go the lighthouse without making unprovoked attacks."

[Archmage1]

"We've been doing that, but I think we need better directions. It's too easy to get turned around here."

[Tjallen]

"Disarm the prisoner before we go then?"

[Archmage1]

"I think he may object to that, considering how he is attached to his weapon."

[Tjallen]

"It's not like we didn't hurt him to stop him from attacking the first time."

[Archmage1]

"There is a considerable difference between theft and self defense."

[Tjallen]

"Your morals are weird as hell, you know that right?"

[Archmage1]

Sighing, and wondering what the tribesman made of this conversation, Aeris decides to take the bait. After all, it might distract him from the pain.
"How so?"

[Tjallen]

"You seem to be against theft, but not killing in general. Also you should probably ask Boddynock to look at that, he asked if anyone was wounded a couple minutes back."

[Archmage1]

Aeris shakes his head.
"Theft is always wrong, however, killing, while something to be avoided where possible, is sometimes the only solution. I did mention it to him, but I suppose he ran out of healing effects, which does not bode well for this expedition."

[Tjallen]

"That's even more weird. Both are pretty good ways of staying alive, the first against those stronger, the second against those weaker or distracted. Sounds like you give your enemies all the cards." Sperr shurgs.

[rweird]

The native begins to walk away, leaving you to argue or follow as you please.

Hellen mutters silently to her companions "I'll tail him and leave a trail, give us a good head start." before vanishing once more into the woodlands, making sure to keep the man in her sights, gathering a handful of sticks as she walks and inconspicuously sticking them in the ground from time to time marking the trail.

[Tjallen]

"I am not letting him walk away." Sperr grumbles before giving an order to Sper who sets off after the 'monster'.

Sper will be running this guy down, the second Sperr sees him walking away, which is funky in relation to turns, so in case he gets to attack:

"Stop that, idiot! He's the only one who knows we're not on the enemy's side", Magnus shouts at Sperr, in a voice a bit too loud for what Magnus considered safe.

The dog lunges at the archer, who jumps back, dropping his bow, jaws missing by a fair margin.

"See, the murderer tries to kill me again! I asked you to accompany me, but he wants nothing more than to kill me. He gives no reason nor justification for this attack."

The archer turns away from the dog, pushing through the others, and approaches Sperr (provokes AoO). "Call off your dog, and lie down, murderer! Surrender!"

Aeris looks over at Sperr.
"Sperr... what are you doing?"

[Tjallen]

Sperr snaps his fingers making Sper come to his side: "Seems like I am going back to where we came from and waiting for you guys to return." Looking at the archer Sperr adds: "And you get to live without scars."

"Go then, murderer. Leave this place and trouble us no more." he snarls.

[Tjallen]

Sperr ignores the savage and addresses the others: "I guess I will be moving back to where we landed, if I encounter the invaders I will try to convince them not to attack you should you meet. Anyone care to join is welcome, except for the weakling of course."

[Archmage1]

Aeris nods.
"As you wish, Sper. Now, since we are out of healing, and we have injuries, it seems like departing is a good plan for everyone. I don't think we have a realistic chance of reaching the lighthouse in the face of opposition."

Magnus furrows his brows, as if in protest, but knowing deep inside that it's probably the best course of action to keep him safe.

"That's an understandable decision, alright! There's no shame in running away, especially when faced with such alternative."
