Another fun fact: In my very first Pokemon Blue run - when I was 8 or 10 or so - the only pokemon I used was Charizard. Ever. The other five slots were for HM mules. This might've been a problem for some gym battles, but you'd be surprised how little types and such matter when your best Pokemon is consistently 10-15 levels higher than everything.

I also nicknamed him Firedude. He still lives on my Pokemon Stadium cartridge.

Both of my characters were mages, though only one was for D&D (my Viera wizard Sparks). The other was Amaya, the d20 Modern teen consultant to the FBI's X-Files division.

As always, the sign of a good wizard is very little active wizarding.

Charizard flies around the world several times just to build up a little extra speed before smashing an opponent into the ground. Once when said opponent was actively biting his shoulder/wing.

That said...

...I think this is adequate grounds for peaceful Charizard/Pikachu relations. Our people will not be defined by what separates us, but rather by our common humanity living-being-ness sentient-being-ness. Most notably, that the image of Charizard in mid-flight allowing a Pikachu to stand upon its back is pretty rad.

And really, the only reasons there aren't pictures of charities a riding pikachu sis they aren't suitable to be shown on children's television.

Cousin and I did that once. We went into the Christian forest and came out with a level 99 charizard.

Boy was that a wasted three day weekend.

Pikachu used Thunder on a flying type and made it into armour. That is blatently impossible.

(I would love to see Ash just offhandedly mention that he did that once to Prof Oak just so you could see the look of "what in the actual hell?!" look on his face...)

So? Seems reasonable for a remote dwelling with no electricity, and animals in the show are in many cases shown to be intelligent enough to operate it if necessary. Ponies probably have to chop the wood, but it's not like they've shown any qualms about exploiting natural resources.

Alternately, the animals just hoard stuff because they want their homes to look like pony homes. They don't know how to use any of the stuff, but they've been conditioned by ages of living with ponies to know what a home should look like, so they try to mimic it.
