The Kidnap

The whooshes grow louder, and the blue light brighter, at the end of the corridor, before it turns, two blue torchflames erupt from the walls as you hear the next whoosh, it happens again 20ft closer, and again, until the entirity of the corridor is bathed in flickering blue light. There is a slight disturbance in the crystal water as a school of fish rush to your end, following the light. They swim about calmly at your end of the water.

[Acetic]

"fish..... only fish..." Xeyphon sighed in a mixture of relief and disappointment. Lifting up his gear he decided to walk into the water and down the corridor.

Xander waits behind to see if anything happens ((So you just rush in? not too clever))

if nothing happens then xander continues following.

Rurik follows blindly.

[Furius]

Furius lets out a sigh of relief.

Fish are nothing to worry about... As Xeyphon marches into the water, Furius begins to follow.
But wait! What about that ominous blue torchlight? What's the deal with that?

Furius calls out to Xeyphon, Xander and Rurik (For what that's worth), asking them to wait while he inspects these strange blue torches.

"Hmm..."

And then Furius looks around and rushes after the party.

[Solophoenix]

As Xeyphon steps into the water the fish freeze at the intrusion, a moment after Furius steps into the water, the fish dart toward the two of them, kicking up a froth in their frenzied rush. Briefly they bare their tiny razor-sharp teeth, before sinking them into the leg flesh of Xeyphon and Furius.

Each of them take (2d6)[6] damage.

Furius gasps as over half of his hit points evaporate, and jumps out of the water, nearly colliding with Xander.

"They're not just fish! They're swimming teeth!" he shouted.

Noticing that some of the 'fish' remain firmly clamped to his legs, Furius pulls out an arrow and drives it into eyes of the fish, attempting to loosen their grip on his calves.

Rurik strikes out at the swarm after nearly having a heart-attack with his greataxe.

Taken aback by the swarm of man eating fish, Xander pauses then strikes at the swarm of fish with all his strength with his falchion.

[Solophoenix]

Rurik swings his mighty into the swarm of fish, now even more ferocious after tasting blood, but manages to miss every single one of them, slicing only water. The fish, in an attempt to follow Furius out of the water, are now jumping in and out, and flapping on the ground near Rurik and Xander, who, along with Xeyphon, feel the pain of their razor teeth.

Rurik, Xander and Xeyphon take (3d6)[11] damage.

The sickening sensation of the pain threatens to take hold of your stomachs.

Fotitude Saves, DC 13 to avoid Nausea for 1 round.

Xander and Rurik successfully fight off the nausea, but Xeyphon's stomach begins turning.

Xander strikes out at the swarm with his falchion, but hits none of them.

Xander, royally pissed off that a certain member was unaffected even though THEY'RE STANDING IN THE BLOODY WATER, WHY WAS I SO MUCH EASIER TO BITE, he lashes out hoping for better luck this time

((First of all, you're posting that attack way out of turn, you have to wait till your initiative before I can give you any results. Furius was unaffected by the swarm attack as he moved out of range on his initiative, which was before the swarm acted. The nausea is an extra effect of the swarm's attack, those who are hit by the attack must make the save vs nausea. As long as you don't touch the rolls when you edit a post, they won't show up as invalid.))

Although knowing for a fact that he would have been able to hit the fish this time, Rurik goes against his better judgement, moves back 5 ft and casts cure light wounds on Xander removing inflict light wounds from his arse...nal.

Xeyphon gets out of the water and sits to the side in extreame pain and nausia.

(stupid luck.)

[Furius]

Furius draws his longbow, aims at the fish that are, disturbingly, climbing out of the water, resisting, with all his strength, the urge to proclaim "It's like shooting fish in a barrel!"

He fires at the nearest fish- A particularly nasty combination of bony fins, warts and fangs.

Furius' arrow flies through the fish, failing to strike so much as a fin. Xander bears the full brunt of another razor-toothed attack.

He easily shakes off the waves of nausea, before striking back with his falcion, this time managing to cut into some fish.

Furius backs away a little further until he is content that he is well and truly out of range of the fish. He checks that nothing is happening behind him, turns around, then draws back his longbow and fires at the fish again.

Rurik Retreats to the back of the group... and proceeds to sit down... on his dwarfish arse prepared to heal any major injuries

Furius' arrow plunges into the fishy mass and successfully impales a single member of the school, killing it. This appears to have little effect on the rest of them. The fish, now with no prey in range, flap their way back into the water and continue to swim around menacingly.

Xander slowly puts away his Falchion making sure it doesn't fall and pulls out his crossbow, ready to be loaded.

Quickly looking around he takes note of where his companions are... assuming i'm yellow.

Xeyphon notches an arrow and moves behind Xander.

"Anyone got a lightning bolt?"

[Acetic]

Not waiting for a reply, Xeyphon notches an arrow and releases it at the target:

Rurik looks at the arrow and bolt battery... drools a little... and starts making little circles with his fingers on the ground...

Xeyphon's arrow strikes a few fish, while Furius' misses entirely. The fish, apparently spooked by the arrows, dart away down the corridor and turn the corner, now out of sight.

Xander, Seeing that entering the water could provoke another attack quickly turns around and leaves the cave.

Once outside he looks to the trees for any wildlife.

Xeyphon approaches the water edge draws an arrow and splashes the surface with it hoping to pull the fish back so they can kill it.

"Anyone got a plan for getting through this mess?"

Looking back, he sees Xander head out of the room.

[Furius]

The tinder of ideas catches alight in Furius' head, and without reviewing the resulting flame, as usual, he declares "I suggest we drain the cave."
