Re: OoC 47: Putting the K in Chaos
According to Aric's last post involving the potato dragons:
They popped up around Tobias, who was still in the valley, not half a mile up the steep slope to be "trapped in the fortress". I think this could just be another instance of confusion arising from people picturing a scene differently, so I want to clear it up. But it would not be the first time liberties were taken with me, which is why I at least want an explanation, if that does turn out to be the case.“Me quoque per multos similis fortuna labores
iactatam hac demum voluit consistere terra.
Non ignara mali, miseris succurrere disco.”

I've got a [Red Zone Apartment Complex] that has been over-run by wights. If anyone is interested, it can be treated as either a Survival Horror sorta dealy or as a Monster Mash depending on how helpless your PC is. Just remember, wights are SUPER infectious! Be careful around those things!

Re: OoC 47: Putting the K in Chaos
Okay, so, I've been thinking and discussing in the chat some new ideas. I've played a lot of villains in the past, and have been interested in some less-evil things.
So, I've been thinking of creating a council of five wizards, united together to go about the Nexus and help others. So, they'd travel about the Nexus, saving those in peril, and helping those in need. Maybe clean up the Red Zone. They'd be fairly strong, but I don't intend for any real PVP to occur, and obviously not in an antagonistic sense.
The story is that Haldavyr, once a particularly unpleasant alchemist, lived his life as a rather callous and unkind person. However, there was an attack upon his shop one day, and the robbers were going to kill his only employee. In an odd sequence of events, he ended up taking a bullet for the employee and was killed. However, he was magically brought back to life in a field Outside, gifted with five magical staffs. Now, he goes about trying to help the people.
And of course, he needs others to help him.
Anyone interested in playing one of these wizards? We have one played by Aric, and another possibly, played by Recaiden. So two more.

Re: OoC 47: Putting the K in Chaos
I would be incredibly interested. That sounds really fun. Is it possible to use characters we already have, or would we be making new ones up entirely? If each member of the council would represent their own specialty type magic, I could use Eternus as its authority on chronomancy for instance.

Re: OoC 47: Putting the K in Chaos
Fortunately, Solid has done us a solid and posted a link in his Sig. I'm familiar, having read it before.
My wizard, if y'all haven't guessed already, is Jern Farlen, though as a member of the Stormguard, he is known as Jerlynfran.
His main powers focus on earth and stone, though he dabbles in enchanting...how do you think he made Potato Dragons?#27Sigatars

Selective breeding?
Anyways, I think we should all formally welcome RabbitHoleLost back. I have already by having Rabbit Vasque meet Caelynn and Alexis when she returned.
Truly a beautiful coincidence (no seriously I didn't know of her backstory)!"Are we living a life that is safe from harm? Of course not, we never are. But that's not the right question. The question is: are we living a life that is worth the harm?"

Nobody's obligated to drop everything and pay attention to Malice in SHEOL, I feel I should point out. Same logic used for the 'smoking section' of Trog's should be valid here, too. Getting that across now, before anyone feels I'm ruining their scene or something.

Re: OoC 47: Putting the K in Chaos
Yo
just wanted to let you all know that, if we're interacting, I have a really weird schedule. I work 8 days in a row, 10 hour shifts, from 10 pm to 8 am
and then I have 6 days off
And last night marked the first day of my "on" shift
if this is incompatible for you and you just wanna drop whatever, that's cool and I'm perfectly understand. I know how frustrating it can be trying to do stuff with someone who isn't ever on at the same time as you

Re: OoC 47: Putting the K in Chaos
He could be anywhere. The reason I was excited for this was because the goal of the council matches up with what I had Eternus doing all along. He generally avoids big cities, but other than that he's been wandering the nexus and randomly helping people with their issues. I'm cool with him popping up anywhere for the story.
If you'd rather some new character for your council instead, I've already made another magic user that I can have start from scratch if it's easier. He'd be a Life Magus, controlling the flow of vitality in living beings (big on buffs, healing and whatnot). I haven't posted him yet bc I need a bit more background about the council so I could more easily fit it into his backstory.
Either way, let me know what works best. It all sounds really fun.FFRP Characters for Reference:

Re: OoC 47: Putting the K in Chaos
Mmm, out of my old characters...nobody else so unintentionally tied to one of yours, I'm betting
I'll pull Hitomi out of retirement, probably (eventually). She's a little more pleasant, but still leans towards the "not good" side of things, despite the fact she hung around HALO more often than not, back in ye olde days

Re: OoC 47: Putting the K in Chaos
Well, Jern has already made a foreshadowy pun about Eternus, lord knows how.
I think it'd be simple enough for you to meet us in Srs plots, but Hatter would have to confirm.
I would like the Stormguard to build a wizard tower together, each of them putting something magical into it.
EI: Jern would build the stone structure of the tower itself, since stone and earth are his element/theme.
Haldavyr could cement the stone with steel, and give the tower structure on other areas.
Eternus could place his time magic around the tower to preserve how long it lasts. Also speed up how quickly they build the tower
Idk what Cleo would do, so any thoughts are helpful.Last edited by Aric Kale; 2014-10-07 at 10:02 AM.

If not, Jax (and the rest of Faceless J) is going to be a free agent again.Spoiler: My inventory:

Re: OoC 47: Putting the K in Chaos
I'm not sure cement works that way.
But at least one thing she'd do is work magic into the stones and steel of the tower.
And/or add a living, treelike component to/through it.
