Tiny makes an annoyed smack with his lips and tongue. His bright blue eyes flash as they do a little roll, and he lays himself down on Kirk's bed. He wriggles a little, getting comfy. "Real couples kiss when they go off to work, let alone go on a trip..."

[Dormitories - Kirk's Room]

Dena turns to Kirk with faux-sober expression and her hands on her hips.. "Kirky, I believe that Tina likes to get off from seeing us kissing. Are we really going to allow that?" She asks while shaking her head in disapproval.

[Dormitories - Kirk's Room]

"I was seriously considering kicking her out." Kirk says. He could be perfectly sincere for all his tone signals. He just goes about packing his suitcase, not engaging any more than that.

"You'd never. Would you?" Tiny says perkily, rolling over on his belly and looking at Kirk. He kicks his legs up lazily and props his chin under his knuckles. "You'd manhandle me like that? Or have your amazon here do it?" He shoots Dena a smirk. "Sounds hot."

The tiefling nods and goes to talk off-screen stuff with her boyfriend!

Dena's Room

Dena herself is standing outside her room dressed up in dark camouflage colored clothing which includes a vest with a lot of pockets sewn into it and a cap. She have a backpack on her back which seems mostly empty. "Right, what'cha got with ya?" She asks him.

[Dormitories - Kirk's Room]

Dena smiles back. "Gotta be careful with this one, Kirky. We're dealing with a full-grade masochist here." She says without looking at the other drow. "Anything we do might turn him on."

"Tina, can you stop?" Kirk suddenly turns toward her, real anger in his eyes. "Otherwise you can leave. I have neither the time nor patience to deal with this."

The cub whose ears Xun just licked certainly seems energetic. She immediately tries to climb on the panther's leg clumsily.

((This is an interaction between Dao and Fade.))

A sharply-dressed man in a black tux, black shoes and white tie walks into the base. He's wearing dark sunglasses, but near as can be told, he appears to be of Chinese descent. There's a stoic look on his face.

The man walks around, examining the base. ((Cue him bumping into Fade))

A man, Fade, will appear in the way of the sharply-dressed man. Fade is dressed in his usual layers of rags, covering his body and a scarf covering his face from the nose down. His yellow eyes focus on the 'newcomer' and his voice is soundless, much like a machine.
"Can I help you?"

The sharply-dressed man gives the man in front of him a once-over. "I am Dao Feng and I wished to check out this establishment." His tone is strict. "And who are you? And what is this world I've come to?"

Yeah, he's new to the Nexus.

Fade just looks at the man.
"I'm a member of this 'establishment'. It's called MERC and since your not a member, your not supposed to see the whole base.
This is part of the nexus, if that's what you want to know. A world that contains many differetn kind of people, monster and whatever you can imagine." he says in his soundless voice.

Dao looks back at Fade, a perpetual frown on his face. Not that the frown betrays any emotions, for Dao doesn't let emotions get in the way of what needs to be done. Dao adjusts his sunglasses. "Tell me more about MERC."

The Nexus, eh? He wonders if there are other contractors in this world. He'll have to gather more information on this world, on his own.

Fade hesitates for a moment, like he is thinking about it.

"Merc is a Bounty Hunter Organisation to make sure bounte is payed and recived.There are members and Licendes Members. The last only go access to a few questes while a normal member has full access. You can allways get a licence, bus to become a member you have to proove yourself."

Dao nods. "A mercenary organization." It'd benefit him greatly to join such an organization. "Take me to your commanding officer. I wish to join this..." He looks around. "... mercenary organization. As a licensed member."

Dao nods. "A mercenary organization." It'd benefit him greatly to join such an organization. "Take me to your commanding officer. I wish to join this..." He looks around. "... mercenary organization. As a licensed member."

Fade looks over the man, befor doing anything.

"Do you have experience that may assisst you as a bounty hunter? Have you hunt for a bounty in the past?" he asks in his usuall soundless voice.

"...And what're you gonna do if I don't?" It took her a minute, but that is what Tina says. She climbs up off the bed on Kirk's side, rather gracelessly. Something manic glints behind unfamiliar eyes. She takes a terrible boxer's stance and brandishes her now respectable fists. "C'mon, *****. You ain't been any fun at all these last few weeks. I don't know what's eating at you, but it's gonna give you bad form. Maybe I can beat this new jerk outta you. Huh? Huh?" She feints, fwoosh fwoosh, not quite touching him. Her grin glints, but it's a little mean this time. She sounds like she's quoting something off bad television, but part of her means it, behind the goofiness and bravado.

Dena looks in between them with a skeptical look on her face. "If you're going to fight, I'm 'outta here. You're acting like idiots right now." She declares with a glance between the two. "Since you know I ain't gonna stop ya. I'm just going to pretend neither of you exist for a week."

Fade looks over the man, befor doing anything.

"Do you have experience that may assisst you as a bounty hunter? Have you hunt for a bounty in the past?" he asks in his usuall soundless voice.

"I have lots of experience doing mercenary work, as I'm a contractor." Dao wonders if there are other contractors in this world. He decides not to mention the full details of his job. It's not in his best interests.

It occurs to Dao that this man may not know the meaning of the word 'contractor'. "Contractor essentially means hired killer."

Fade was started to turn around as he hears Dao's first words, but befor Fade got a chance to ask the other man gives him the answer and Fade stops turning back to the 'contractor'.
((May I guess? Do you refer to the Darker than black contractors with dao?))

"In this case you should know that MERC won't carry out assassinations. The jobs here may contain gathering informations. If your only good in assassination, you might be wrong here."

"Contractors don't only kill. They gather information. If anything stands in the way of that, then we may act at our discretion." Dao lights a cigarette and smokes it. "That usually involves cleaning up witnesses."

Dao puffs out some smoke. "So, where would you recommend, then."

"As I mentioned, the contracts here don't contain killing anyone. If your willing to get a license you should be aware of that. There are many ways to reach a goal without killing." Fade replies. He should be the last one saying that, since he worked as an assassin befor joining MERC. It's not known and he didn't made anything to give them a reason to ask.

"From my knowledge there isn't anywhere to go."

The pup squirms, wriggles and sniffs around on Xun's back. This is an interesting place!

"Not yet," Dipsnig says. "I was going to wait if those that aren't adopted stick around or head off into the wilds. Feel free to come up with a name for this one."

"I don't fight for fun, Tina." Kirk closes his suitcase, not showing the surge of irritation he gets from this... Not that it was his only source of irritation to begin with. "If you want me in a better mood, start by losing the ****." He points downward. "If you want to play at being a man, by all means. Just do it away from me."

Tina doesn't back up, she just puts her hands on her hips and looks pouty while Kirk has his say. "Y'know what? Fine! I was getting tired of this anyway," She retaliates, reaching into her little coat and withdrawing a small vial full of green liquid. The pianist guzzles it as quick as she guzzles anything else.

She stows the empty bottle, crosses her arms, and glares at Kirk.

Nothing happens.

"Hey, I--" She grabs herself all over, reaching her face last. "What the ****."

((Honestly, it just occurs to me. Why isn't there an acronym named ASSASSIN or something? Somewhere where PCs can assassinate NPCs? Barring Huntside, that is.))

"Be sure the licence and all it's benefits will be disabled then." Fade replies.
"You don't have a god eye. I'm a member of MERC, I have no intention to break the rules."

((The reason is rather simple, killing request are small and many people don't want their char get killed.))

Dao nods. "So, there is no place here that would accept me if I'm forced to be lethal." Another drag of the cigarette, another smoke. "Perhaps, I could concede for a time, but I make no promises."
