    (Draga is currently down 9 hitpoints. -If there is no pressing items other than the caravan that is on its way,- he will cast Cure Minor Wounds on any theives that are not dead yet to stabilize them, then he will cast Cure Light Wounds on himself, then he will go pick up the manacles and other equipment he dropped in the forest and chain the now stable thieves.)

    With a valient swing Draga drops his foe leaving a large gash in his neck.

    The remaining theif runs further north towards the caravan and jumps onto it.
    "Take one more step and I'll slit this dwarf's throat!"

    joanna and draga, you do now notice that you hear a rustling in the woods to the west, but they seem to be moving further west.
    Aroneth, you notice that the person was wearing a red bandana, very akin to the red foxes'.

    (Just how many actions did the thief take between Arafin dropping the other thief and before Arafin could move? A full round action (retreat), a move action (to move to the caravan) and a standard action (to ready an attack)?)

    (i assumed joanna and arafin gave chase seeing how they stated that as their action, but seeing how he was already further ahead than the others he was able to consistantly stay outside of their range, thank you run feat. And he took 4 damage from Aroneth)

    (How does that break down mechanically? I thought we reached him anyway, since at the start of round 3 he was in move/charge range and our initiative was higher.)
    (Edit: I cast Summon DM as an out-of-game action and then move to M2 anyway. >.>)

    Joanna halts as she hears the thief's threat. In the silence that follows, she hears a rustling in the bushes to the west. More of them? Damn it... All she can do is stand in place as the sound recedes, and try to catch a look at the mystery person. With a grunt of frustration, she sheathes her sword and assesses the situation. The dwarf hasn't been killed immediately, which she finds at least a little encouraging."Your fellows are not in any danger from us. There's no need for any more blood to be spilt." She speaks gently, hoping to calm the dwarf as well as the thief.

    Umm, Arafin don't have the run feat, but has base speed of 40 ft. so 40 ft * 4 is 160 ft. If the thief has a base speed of 30 ft then 30 ft * 5 = 150 ft. Assuming we "gave chase", Arafin stands a good chance of catching him. Arafin was only 30 feet behind, so for every round we ran, Arafin should have been gaining 10 ft. At the most, Arafin should be only 20 ft away from the thief, and thats only if the dwarf was exactly opposite the thief from Arafin, if the dwarf was at an angle, then the thief is closer, maybe within rapier range, but at least in whip range.

    (arafin doesn't have the run feat, but the thief does, with a 40 move speed)
    (draga, please put in DC's in the text, but you cannot see anyone, from what you see/heard they seem to have left)
    After Joanna talks to the thief he remains firm in his resolve to kill the dwarf
    "STAY AWAY! I'LL KILL HIM! I SWEAR!!"
    He starts taking the dwarf slowly towards the edge of the bandwagon.
    Then you hear the dwarf laugh hystericly.
    spot check arafin: 16
    spot check joanna: 9
    each of you notice that the dwarf's mouth isn't moving.
    arafin, you notice that neither dwarf is breathing either

    (Is there a thief and two dwarves, or is the thief a dwarf? Where exactly is everybody at the moment, and did Draga take his cure/fetch stuff/manacle action? I don't think so, but I'm just checking.)

    (If Joanna's 60ft or less away from the caravan and we don't enter combat, cast Detect Evil. If successful, continue until third round if possible. Aroneth, if you haven't moved since manacling the thief I think you'll need to speak up a bit for me to hear you. :) )

    2 dwarves, 1 thief
    draga walks forward and the three of you are about 40 feet away from the caravan. (draga, joanna, arafin)
    (the other 3 thieves are unconcious and stabalized)
    joanna you detect evil on the thief, but nothing from that dwarf.

    The thief overhears some of the conversation and then slices at the dwarf, his dagger going straight through, and the dwarf disapears.

    Anyone who rolled above a 15 sees two yellow eyes flash from the back of the caravan(it's covered). For those close to the caravan you suddenly smell something peculiar, you can't quite put your finger on it.

    From the caravan, "Heh heh heh.... now if only you little boys and girls would leave, I might spare your friends life..." his voice sounds sinister, tainted with malice.

    Thief: "WHAT'S GOING ON?! I GIVE UP!" free action: fall prone.

    Joanna, make a will save, DC 17.

    (I'll get the grid up here in just a bit), general situation: caravan stoped moving now, it is about 30 feet away from the first group. The caravan is 20 feet in length with an enterance on the front and back)
