Default Mind Parasites (Rick and Morty inspired forum game)

It all started with someone (*cough* Summer *cough*) tracking in a Mind Parasite larva on her boot. Slowly, the parasite matured, and drove false memories into everyone's brains. With each new false memory, a new Mind Parasite took form as a humanoid-looking entity. Recognizing the danger, Rick sealed off the house, keeping the parasites quarantined. However, the Mind Parasites and the afflicted humans turned on Rick, thinking that all their shared common memories indicated that he was the only outsider....the only Parasite.

Only Morty's quick thinking saved Rick from certain doom, allowing Rick to activate his trusty NeuRickLizer beam, keeping the Mind Parasites from reproducing further and hiding his identity.

However, that just led to more confusion. Each of you remembers very little about all of that. You know you are locked in this house, and now you, and everyone else, appears to be a different version of Rick. The real Rick has the Quarantine Watch, and can release you all from your prison, but if any Mind Parasites get out, they could conquer the world.

    ------

Basically this is a variation of mafia/werewolf but based on the Total Rickall episode of Rick and Morty.

    Rules
    Spoiler
    Show

Roles are assigned by the game master at the start of the game. You will know your own role. There will be an indication of how many humans there are in the game at the start.

This game has a Day Phase and a Night Phase. Each phase lasts 48 hours or until a successful vote (day) or all night actions (night) are in.

During the Day, day powers can be used. Additionally, players can vote to lynch a player. If a majority of players vote to lynch a particular player or vote to have no lynch, the day phase ends. If there is a tie at the end of 48 hours or if there is no consensus, no lynch is performed.

During the Night phase, night powers can be used.

During the night phase, all parasites cast a vote for who they want to kill. If more than half the voting parasites agree on a target, that target is killed during the night by the parasite's Hive Mind.

No communication about this game is allowed outside this public thread.

The game ends when Rick decides it does, or if Rick is dead when the remaining players collectively vote to decide it ends. Each player will have their own victory conditions.

    Roles
    Spoiler
    Show

Rick: You are interdimensional traveler, Rick from Earth-618. You have an Unlimited Arsenal of weapons and can Arm Person at night (the person does not know you are the one who armed them). You win if you are alive at the end of the game and no Mind Parasites are. You are considered a Human. You cannot Arm yourself (you have to stay hidden), and are not considered Armed. Because you are Impatient you must Arm Person every night. You cannot Arm someone who is already Armed. You can Lowers the Blast Shields to end the game. If you die, the other players can collectively vote to Lowers the Blast Shields. You are Elusive and cannot be killed at night.

Morty: You are Rick's side-kick. You Recognize Rick (but he does not recognize you). You may sacrifice yourself to Save Rick during the day from being killed by lynch. You count as Human, and can be Armed. You win if Rick wins.

Summer: You are Morty's sister and occasional Rick side-kick. You can Conceal Weapons and never appear to be Armed. You are also Suspicious and always appear to be a human to parsites and a parasite to humans. You win if all parasites are eliminated, and you survive.

Beth: You are Morty and Summer's mother. You are highly intelligent and can Remember Entity once per day, which reveals the entity's type (Human or Parasite). You are also have Terrible Aim causing your shots during the day to hit a second, random target. You win if Morty and Summer survive.

Jerry: You are Morty and Summer's father. You are a Coward and are firmly convinced you are a parasite. You can Play Dead once per game, appearing to be dead until the beginning of next turn. You win if you survive.

Parasite: You are a mind parasite. You are part of the Hive Mind which collectively can kill an entity every night. You win if Rick dies and a human is still alive, or Rick Lowers the Blast Shields.

Parasite Hunter: You are a special parasite mutation, born out of the enmity the Smith Family has for one another. You Recognize Your Target which is always a non-Rick human. You have all Parasite abilities. You only win if you kill your target.

Parasite Memoryphage: You are a special parasite mutation, keenly aware of the minds of others. You can Detect Entity once per day which will reveal that entity's type (Human or Parasite). You have all Parasite abilities. You win if Rick dies and a human is still alive, or Rick Lowers the Blast Shields.

Armed Entity: If you have been Armed by Rick, everyone can tell you have been Armed. You gain the one-shot day or night ability to Kill Entity. Once used, you are no longer considered Armed. While Armed, you cannot be lynched. When you kill someone during the day it is very apparent that you did it. If you kill someone at night, only another player targeting that player will know (e.g. a Rick Arming them, a Memoryphage remembering them).

Hi. Werewolf/Mafia games are usually held in the Structured games subforum, so I'm gonna move this over. You'll probably find a bigger audience here, too.

With a cry of "Can you hear the ricks sing? Singing the song of angry ricks," the ricks turn on Lord Rickington. Hobo rick beats him over the head with his bindle stick, while The Rick grabs him by the throat and delivers a powerful Rick Bottom. Ricky Wonka and Stilts Rick take turns beating him with a stilt and a giant gummy rope until nothing is left but a pile of gore.

However, the gore is definitely not human, and appears to be the remains of a Parasite - Memoryphage.

Night falls and you all decide to go to bed.

Night 1 begins now. You have 48 hours to complete any night actions you want to take.

As a reminder, Rick *must* choose to arm someone (if he doesn't, a random character will be armed).

The remaining parasites must send me a pm with the character they want to try to kill as a hive mind.
