So I started playing DnD way back in the boxed basic set days and GMd for years in AD&D with the original hardback books. I dabbled a bit in 2nd edition, but not long after that came out, I stopped playing mainly due to lack of players. Fast forward a decade or two and I start playing Pathfinder through a MMO guild I'm in using Roll20. Not long after that, I get the itch to GM again. I decided on 5th edition for a little less crunch factor starting out. I've just finished my 3rd game session on Roll20 with players mostly from the same MMO guild (plus a few friends of mine). So far it's been a blast.

I'm pretty rusty and the 5e rules are completely new to me, so it's unsurprising that I keep coming up with questions. How do the rules work exactly, what interesting homebrews do people use, what pitfalls are there in game balance, etc., etc., etc. Funny how many of those searches brought me here. Who knew the site of my favorite web comic would also be one of the best places to get the skinny on RPG goodness?
