    Just as Orzai was getting ready to leap, he was surprised by speech from behind. He jumped reflexively, tucking and rolling on the dusty ground below.

    Deliberate jumps treat the first 1d6 damage as non-lethal, so hopefully it won't hurt too badly.


    Standing up and dusting himself off, he looked up to the second story window and saw Adrian looking down. "You might be making a good point", Orzai whispered loudly, "but I promise I'll be very careful. First sight of trouble and I'll be back." He winked conspiratorially, "If anyone asks, I went out for a night smoke. I'm sure Kendra will appreciate that her house doesn't smell like whatever that shifty dwarf sold me."

    Orzai turned away from the house, ready to stalk off into the night.

    Orzai waited for the dhampir, leaning against the side of Kendra's home. He was a little surprised about Adrian's willingness to come.
    He listened in, expecting trouble from the elf keeping guard by the door. Is he going to sneak past him? Orzai wondered, chuckling at the elf's myopic guard.

    Orzai sneaked alongside the taller dhampir, taking care not to whistle or make any other lively noise.

    It wasn't awfully pleasant, Orzai thought. He didn't know why everyone was taking this escapade so seriously - in his experience, most of the urban threats came directly from the inhabitants. And what kind of a crazy person would go out at night, alone, and wander the graveyard? Local dirt farmers had to wake up early, they would be deep asleep, and by the look of Ravengro there wasn't much else to do around here.

    Noticing Adrian's meticulous search, Orzai aped him, looking out for interesting objects and clues. He was sure that they wouldn't encounter anything remotely interesting until they got to the treasure crypt.

    Finding the graveyard predictably empty at this time of the night, Orzai stumbled around, looking for the false crypt. "Eversleep and the Black Path, was it? It would be a LOT easier if these humans put labels on things" he whispered to his companion.

    The night was no impediment for the gnome's darkvision, and fairly soon he began getting his bearings. In the distance, he saw something resembling the crypt they were looking for.

    Orzai poked Adrian's knee pointing at the far away building. "I think that's what we're looking for", he said, carelessly approaching it.

    Orzai turned to his much bigger companion and said 'I don't think there is anyone in there. Obviously, it's the middle of the night in a graveyard, and the lock is on the outside'. 'Bet you can't pop that lock though', the gnome finished, grinning.

    ' I doubt it, but I could see Makan being able to tear the lock off the gate. But pissing off the locals is probably not the best option just yet. Maybe I'll be able to convince the groundskeeper to open the door... Or maybe there is another way in!' Orzai countered.

    While searching for hidden entrances, Adrian finds something curious-- the lock on the gate has actually been disabled with acid previously, and readily comes off with little effort.

    "Maybe Lorrimor did that... I'm almost mad that I haven't thought about it before." Orzai whispered back, examining the lock closely. The darkness of the crypt before them was hardly daunting for the two. Before stepping foot into the crypt, he looked up to Adrian, wondering if he saw anything relevant inside. The night was still young, they could search every nook and cranny inside if they had to - Orzai had full faith in Professor's journal.

    "Maybe we can follow the tracks to the treasure?" he added. This suspense was killing him. Orzai has recovered from his earlier disappointment magnificently.
