Re: Planetouched play D&D
I don't think I've ever tried to write him as stupid. Sarissa and Lily's spoken opinion should be taken in the context of them being both self-consciously intelligent people who are downright arrogant about it.
But he's panicky, he doesn't focus on the whole situation, he's very quick to try to dodge responsibility or avoid admitting fault. And that last one is not going to endear him to many of the others.
Spoiler: Girls talk about things.
It is almost canon that "Getting people to talk about you when you're not around" is one of Haman's powers. As "attracting female attention" is Judaus, "Making people not notice what rubbish you're talking and how often you screw up" is Chars, and "getting girls killed" is Camilles.Last edited by Marlowe; 2016-05-11 at 08:37 AM.

Older is a silly place, but we all end up there eventually. On the outside, at least. Barring the obvious alternative. You know what, forget I said anything.

Getting older is a bit like going to Camelot... 'Tis a silly place, and you're probably better off not going there for now.

Re: Planetouched play D&D
Spoiler: I've spoiled this already.
In the course of making this, I discovered that Harvey comics reuses images almost as much as I do. Also, what is up with the freak on deviantart who keeps painting these kiddy-comic characters bound and gagged next to time-bombs?

Re: Planetouched play D&D
Why exactly is the whole ruling-hell-and-unleash-it's-armies-on-the-world deal a bad ending? It sounds a great job.
And yeah, hiding your resemblance to the local evil overlady's archenemy/favourite punching ball might be a good idea."If it lives it can be killed.
If it is dead it can be eaten."

Re: Planetouched play D&D
It's DeviantArt. Freaks gonna freak, and usually that's okay. (On the other hand, it's DeviantArt, which tries to have standards. On other sites, time bombs would be the least troublesome third-party intrusion, because **** humanity.)

Re: Planetouched play D&D
You don't play the game as the Daughter, you play as the parent. You're supposed to take a little girl and raise her into a hypercompetent, accomplished young woman who marries into royalty and makes sunshine and rainbows where'er she goes. Turning her into the bringer of the end times is considered something of a botch.
Spoiler: Yes, the bridge window of Ingolstadt keeps changing shape. Yes, I am doing it deliberately to see who's paying attention.
The Riah Republic gained independence from the Federation with the help of the Zeon military a few years before the One Year War, but remained neutral during the war. "Neutral", given that Zeon was famously outnumbered 30 to one, in practice meant "Federation, but not saying". I imagine the Zeon find this cause for irony. It was the setting for MSG 0080 War In The Pocket.Last edited by Marlowe; 2016-05-15 at 05:02 AM.

Re: Planetouched play D&D
I still fail to see how raising Queen of Hell and Bringer of the Endtimes is a bad outcome.
It's a powerful and influencial position and if she enjoys the job all the better. Aren't those things people should want for family members?
Besides, royality is obsolete and that whole sunshine and rainbows stuff sounds really boring.
Not to mention that you most likely go to hell for the whole raising the Queen of Hell and Bringer of the Endtimes deal. Better to have contacts down there when that inevitably happens.
I guess the situation in the comic can only end in tears. And blood. And dead bodies. And many funny comments.
So business as usual I guess."If it lives it can be killed.
If it is dead it can be eaten."

Smiling Haman is creepy. It looks just... wrong.

Re: Planetouched play D&D
Spoiler: No, they're not dead. If they were, this would not be funny. But you guys that watched the show know that anyway.
I was going to do this bit in one long strip, but I don't want to be working all night.
I'm actually surprised Leina's speaking like this.
I really don't want to know what they were thinking when they gave Puru Two a bright red groin-piece that I feel I have to crop out or cover every time she features, because it looks horribly inappropriate.
I REALLY don't know why I can't spell "hormonal".
Also, I'm silly 'cause this made me laugh:Last edited by Marlowe; 2016-05-28 at 05:00 AM.
