Well, considering the DM let Pete keep the shockprobe on R2 (shouldn't he have been able to argue that he needs the periscope to see if someone wants a drink?) he might be nice enough to allow him to pick up some of the other stuff as well before everything goes boom.

... Huh, I never realized R2 has a specific adaptation for the Drink serving. I always thought he was using his Periscope to hold the drink tray when riding around with it on his head on the barge.

Considering this is Pete, he also may have had two periscopes on the expectation one would be stolen.

It's a DOS disk read error. Abort ends the process, retry will attempt to read the file again. Fail will have teh process try to continue without the file.

Huh. I always felt like they took it from somewhere, just never knew where. I'm barely old enough to remember playing DOS games (Arkanoid: Revenge of DOH was amazing at the time), and I don't remember ever getting an error like that. Or if I did, I didn't have enough computer prowess to understand what it meant.

I'm barely old enough to remember playing DOS games (Arkanoid: Revenge of DOH was amazing at the time), and I don't remember ever getting an error like that. Or if I did, I didn't have enough computer prowess to understand what it meant.

I still remember Bards Tale, Dungeon Hack and Fantasy Empires. Though that was the days before speed regulators so when I went back to play Dungeon Hack on a new computer I died in less than a second from the first kobold due to extreme speed

Uhm, considering they EXPLICITLY SAY that it was 'planned and not revealed yet', there is not a really realistic way to even guess.

The only thing I can really think of is that instead of having Han's tiny explosives in his little min-carrying case in Return of the Jedi somehow containing the power to UTTERLY DESTROY the building, they kidnap one of the Imperial officers and force him to drop the shields instead.

Ah, Fantasy Empires. The game is insanely hard, has an arcane manual, and doesn't work on modern systems because they are too fast.

Uhm... it was insanely easy, actually, even for my 10 year old mind. High level heroes are fully capable of completely crushing entire armies solo (this is especially egregious with the Elf), which becomes even worse if you send him on quests and get one of the good items, and every game you start the game with a hero of level equal to your character level.

Just to prove I could I won the game against an AI of the same level without using a single unit to attack other than my hero.

Though for replay value strategy became drastically different depending on whether you were playing at 1:1, 1:5 or 1:20. For instance, in 1:1 missile units are totally useless - 500 elves vs 500 fighters the elves died with almost no casualties from footmen, if there were any at all (and 500 halflings die to 20 fighters. Seriously. I tested it). In 1:20 elves are stupidly OP, with 500 elves beating 500 fighters without a casualty.

I spent a lot of time with the game though, mainly because I could play against my brother so the exploits became less relevant when both players are doing it. The AI was just too dang easy to beat though.
