Probably just laying contingencies in case they change their minds. I mean at their current pace this is going to continue for probably another year before they finish Jedi (maybe more), a lot can change in that time.

Or they might just re-appropriate the name for something funny yet confusing. Or they expect the First Order to be in Rogue One (which doesn't seem unlikely), or they already have some ideas about how they want to use the first order when they eventually get to those movies and wanted to start setting things up, or... After all, their main plot is still based around an insignificant orb seen ones at the end of episode 1, I'm not drawing too many conclusions about how they're going to use this word from here on in yet.

I'm pretty sure that its Beru and Owen with (apparently) a lot of their survivalist buddies/comrades. The reference to burning their last HQ could easily be the Lars moisture farm, and the repeated references to "or you'll die," seem to be further confirmation. Beru and Owen could stay dead due to sceencapability issues, but that its a part of the same group at least seems a sure bet.

And additional awesome for explaining how the hell the Ewoks can take out Imperial troops and vehicles, at least a bit.

I think it means, that Luke went up there, trying to reason with the Emperor, but now just realized that's impossible, because Palpy's mad.
