    Yay, Jurassic Park da Muvee!

And if she does a replay later (Jurassic World), then she has the dinos be engineered clones, because they did learn about robot dinos being a bad idea.

But in Jurassic Park, Lex doesn't turn the fences on, Sattler does. By resetting the generator. Lex is out in the park with Grant and Tim, who gets shocked by the fences turning back on. Unless Lex has a wireless device we never see, that can't happen.

Wasn't there some scene where the kids have to reactivate... something using the facility’s computer?

That was the electronic door locks in the visitor center as I recall.

I have forgotten all the details except "I'll put one person in charge of the security code for the park, get a very lopsided business deal with him that makes him effectively a minimum wage job slave, his low loyalty won't possibly come back to bite me" combined with "Lets break all safety rules in order to make a deal with someone shady to get the money my employer basically got away with not paying me".

Oh, and a bunch of idiot balls.

EDIT: In fairness, the book was better. But then, it took three movies to cover the two books. I never saw the 4th movie; heck, I'm not sure I saw the third.

But the whole "I'll take advantage of you in a contract negotiation, now you have low loyalty" issue was still there. Much less idiot ball, much more "too arrogant to know better". In other words, the bad CEO had better character development and the personality flaws were more believable.

Is there any particular reason to expect Sally's Jurassic Park to match the RW movie(s) any better than the current campaign matches the Star Wars ones? Is there any chance that we will see Sally's campaign? That might be a way of stalling until they are ready to do the next SW trilogy.

The plot could deviate, but they would still be using the same screencaps, and the fences still turn back on when Sattler resets the generator, at which point Tim, Lex, and Grant are still outdoors (and Tim gets shocked by the fence).

They reset everything except the fence generator, which had to be done manually. The first thing was the door locks, next we saw was the phones.

Yes, you already said that that those things happened in the movie. I can barely remember that the movie had some dinosaurs in it, so I don't know, but it seems to me that you may be relying too much on your previous understanding of what happened in the movie. Keep in mind that by changing the dialog, you can often completely change the interpretation of what is seen. Also screenshots can be carefully selected. In the current scene, they have added an extra character, Anakin's ghost, and made it be him who threw the lightsaber. Given that they can do things like that, are you sure that, for example, Tim can't be attacked by something like a swarm of tiny robotic insects when he's at the fence, rather than being electrocuted? Does Sattler have to be resetting a generator? Or maybe it's just so obvious that electricity is flowing through the fence that the interpretation can't be changed even by a GM telling the players that something else is happening. I don't know, but your response didn't convince me that you really considered how much things can be changed.

Anakin throws the saber, but the saber is still thrown. Tim is still on the fence, sparks still fly out from the points of contact, Tim still gets visibly thrown off the fence, his hair still stands on end, Grant still throws a stick at the fence before they climb, and Sattler still hits a switch immediately before all the Tim events happen. Also, at no other time is there visual indication of the fences being on.

You're not wrong, and they could do it at a different time, but it would be awkward at best, I'd think.

Through a judicious use of screen caps, they just pick the ones where Lexi isn't showing. Voila, she's in a different place. Like the security computer room.

That would be quite the impressive judiciousness, they'd have to edit out her leaving the visitor's center with Tim and Gennaro, being attacked by the T-Rex, meeting up with Grant to return to base, escape the velociraptors in the kitchen, etc etc etc.

They'd have to literally edit her out of almost the whole movie, is what I'm saying here. And I gotta say, that would be no small feat without photoshop.

I think it's called The Phantom Edit. Might still be on YouTube.

Anyhow, the point we're not discussing is that the players were the robo-dinos, not the humans. So not much issue with screen caps.

I thought the idea was that he did? I can't remember, but wasn't Palpatine a good guy?

BTW, even in the original movies, the Emperor wanted peace! He wanted the rebellion to stop fighting him and he wanted everyone to stop resisting the dark side. That way he could control everything in peace.

To be fair, I had forgotten the actual plan too.
On the other hand I have the excuse that it has been awhile.

And I just noticed that this comment could apply to almost all of Jim's stunts.

    Now this is just mean.
    Both in- and out-of-universe.
But at least the cast has to be patient too.
