I feel like they skipped over Luke flying the shuttle away and Lando and Wedge escaping the explosion. Kinda feels weird to pass up the most tense part of that escape scene.

Well, yes, they decided to play the scene for laughs rather than for excitement.

I'll say that those radios were being strangely inconsistent with respect to who heard the communications, though.

A roll wouldn't have been very consistent with Luke getting out in time by pure accident and without ever knowing how much danger he had been in. Keep in mind that the idea isn't to recreate the movie. They will mock it any chance they get.

I get that, but the joke just doesn't work for me when you consider that they, as players, can hear all this going on. Corey knows that the NPCs weren't waiting for him to get out, and he knows exactly how much danger he's in.

A good player can know one thing and still have their character act another way.

Reminds me of the time I had to have a non-security/non-computer geek person, with all the right tools, choose a password ... when one of their skills was perfect memory, and I went with something that was guessable instead of just a long random string.

Luke told Wedge about rendezvous point Zeta during the evacuation of Hoth. Rogue One is pre-Ep. IV. I don't think it's a reference.

I think the two parts of the post were unrelated. One was about today's comic, the other because Rogue One is the next one that that's being done, so they want to be able to understand the comic when it gets to that point.

At least, that's the sense I got.

I mean, they took a throwaway prop from the end of the first movie and turned it into the overarching plot device for 6 movie adaptations now, and it has literally never been on screen except the end of Phantom Menace.
