Mallside 9: Waaagh!

Alexis soon comes out of Arcane Threads, a few bags in her hand and a blush on her cheeks.
She looks down the way - was that little cloth person staring at her? Probably best to not worry about it.

Now, next on the list an art supply place...

As Alexis walks past, she might notice a green lady with horns and coincidentally wearing a snake-body in place of legs. She grins and waves to the gorgon.
"Hello, miss! Need anything? All sorts of wishes granted, no charge." she says amiably.

[Recaiden]

Alexis starts and the snakes squirm nervously for a moment before they remember that they're supposed to be hidden in this hat-bonnet. Then the moment passes and she's all smiles and waves back, stopping her walk.
She quotes something under her breath before going into a real answer.
"Be not proud of standing alone, and take help where it is offered."
"No charge and no catch? What an offer. Now my needs are fulfilled in my Lady and myself, but there are always things I could do better for having. What are the rules?"
One must be careful with wishes - weaknesses are as important to someone as strengths.

Pat smiles at Alexis, who is one of the wonderful few who take her offer at face value.
"Three wishes max, though I'm not obligated to give you all three. No wishes to hurt other people, no wishing for more wishes, no changing the past, and it has to involve you somehow. You can wish that a friend had a better life if that also makes you feel better, but you can't just wish a fortune to a person you've never met. That's...more or less it."

Alexis nods slowly. She didn't come out to the mall looking to change the world, or even her life.
"I wish I had the perfect gift to give to Sarina."
She deserves more than seeing Alexis without that curse. Now, can a wish handle something so nebulous, based on another person's preferences? Or will it be what Alexis imagines the perfect gift to her would be?

Pat snaps her fingers, and a small square of silk appears in her hand, which is offered to Alexis.
"So I don't get personal specifics, but I got the idea that she recently got a job that's like one of her favorite hobbies, but a little different. Put it under your pillow and think of her as you go to sleep, and when you two wake up she'll find her job as easy, and maybe even as enjoyable as her hobby. Work and Play won't have to be different." she explains.

"You're right. That should be just perfect."
Alexis takes the square and tucks it into her bag, a smile on her face. It's a bit of a weird smile; she's never gotten much practice.
"I think that's all I need today. You have my thanks."

Pat waves and lets Alexis leave.
"I'm here all the time, looking for folks to help. If you need something else, don't be afraid to come back." she offers.
"Or, if there's something you want." she adds with a smirk.

Alexis turns and waves as she walks away.

"I don't want for too much."
And there's a lot of shopping still to do!

Raril enters the mall and makes his way back to Erin's Emporium to pick up his order of weapons.

"Hello?" the drow says, entering the store. "I'm back!"

Crissy, behind the counter, waves, then ducks into the back of the store.

A few moments later returning with an armload of packages, long, slender, weighty, and making her wobble.

"Eeek-!"

"Whoah!" Raril rushes over to help take some of the packages. "I didn't expect you to bring them all out at once!"

"It's good customer service!" Crissy chirps, although she does look relieved. "This is, like, everything you ordered, would you like to inspect it before taking delivery?"

"I plan to wear everything out, so yeah, let's get these out of their boxes." Raril says, setting some things on a nearby counter. That done, he opens the first box to see what's inside.

The box contains the rapiers, exactly as ordered and seeming extra-shiny.

Crissy smiles. "So, what do you think?"

"Very nice." Raril says, taking them out of the box. He tests the balance of both blades before belting them on. "These are the anti-far-gribblies ones, yeah?"

"Exactly," Crissy chirps with a smile as Raril tests out the heft of his new blades. "Cold iron and enchantments so that they will be so Super Effective."

"Wonderful." Raril grins. "And where are my fire and ice shortswords?" He asks, looking through the boxes.

"Sure, I'll stop by sometime. I'm not a very spiritual person but whatever." Sam says with a shrug.

Kitnick grins

Oh, don't worry about that: they're not dizzy and weird. It's nice there!

"I'm already spoken for, as far as religion goes," Fayyaad says, sceptically. "I had to flee home because of it, so I'm going to stick by it. To say nothing of my ancestry. But I suppose seeing another temple might be interesting."

Dizzy? Must be a fox thing.
"Well yeah, sure. You can give us directions." Sam suggests of the fox.

Oh, yeah! 5 Cherryblossom Way: it's on the corner of Cherryblossom and Willow, two blocks East of Orchard Road. It takes up most of the entire block, so it's kind of hard to miss. Um... if you know where MagMart 274 is, it's three blocks straight south on Maple, then turn right on Cherryblossom.

Fayyaad shrugs.

"We could go, but it sounds like you could use some pointers on what to buy for your lady," he observes.

Sam perks up a bit as he remembers the previous conversation.
"Right, right. It was nice meeting you. But I need to find something for Sherrel if you need to find some real lunch." he explains to the fox.

Kitnick nods

Oh! Sorry to have delayed you! I'm gonna go find somewhere nicer to eat. Nice meeting you two!

"It was a pleasure," Fayyaad says, with a polite nod. "I'll do my best to help Sam here with shopping for his girl."

"Right, um. Where are we going for that?" he asks the tiefling, looking about.

Cloud pulls up from the tunnels into the bottom level of the parking garage nearby, finds a place, and heads on inside.
The man swaggers, without a care in the world, robe and sleeve ribbons billowing behind him.
He's on a mission from god (note the blazing halo floating above his cornrows) and...sometimes that mission involves picking things up from MagMart because the angels aren't good at carrying stuff.

Pat the djinni is people-watching as always, and raises an eyebrow as the man walks by. She gives him a friendly wave.
"On a mission, Mister Important? I like to sit here waiting for people who might have a wish to make but you seem like you know what you want. Though..." she trails off. He does seem like he might want something, somewhere in that mind. Djinn can tell these things, sometimes only faintly.

"Damn right."
Cloud lifts a hand and waves. A hand with five fingers! With a heavy ring set with an asymmetric stone on the index finger.
"Gotta keep the wheels of industry turnin'. Walk-err, come along with me."
"Maybe we can puzzle out where what the world wants ain't what I do."
