"I'm looking for a couple of different outfits. I need something like what a news reporter might wear, but I'm not entirely sure what the professional standard here in the Nexus is. Business attire, I'm sure, but I'm not entirely sure how formal. I also need an enticing, shall we say, dress. I have someone I'm trying to...impress." Electra is trying to be a bit subtle in that last request, but can't help letting the teeniest bit of a predatory grin show.

"Yeah, it was pretty fun being different colored when I last was, just for a day. But I do have this whole black-and-white thing. As for you? Well, Hunter has this shadowy black fox that's really cute."
Leah is slightly bothered by his (completely correct) comment about liking foxes. But she tries not to show that it's embarrassing to have him mention.
"As for other things, uh, women? Wings? Paired tails, obviously. And you could smile a bit more often, maybe."

On the Way to the Mall

Mist almost stops as Leah keeps talking.
"You like girls? I mean, I could guess more tails, but...I don't think I can do any of that on my own. I could get my coat dyed maybe but not the rest." he says, taken aback a little.
He also neglects to mention that those are nearly all traits of Leah's father's wife. He wonders if he needs to keep Leah away from her family. Mostly sarcastically.

[Recaiden]

"Uh, yeah, I do. Not that I'm asking you to be any of those things. It's just, you did ask."
Leah smiles. His surprise sort of balanced out the embarrassment. Maybe they can just talk frankly, and it'll be okay? Seems likely, now that she phrases the thought.
"So, what's your answer to 'something else you're into'?"

"So not a journalist costume, which we also have, journalist clothes." The shop keeper observes. "And enticing clothing." The spider looks her over again. "I shall see what I can come up with."

Returning, the shop keeper is carrying several outfits, yet only shows her two. "This one should be journalist-like. The other is intended as a enticing choice. Do they meet your requirements?" It meets her gaze with its eight eyes.

On the Way to the Mall

"Well, for an experiment I'll let you pick if you want another look. Maybe dark blue?

As for things, I like...strength, confidence. Cunning. But also levity. And tails and fuzziness." Mist lists carefully. He doesn't think it's odd to list non-physical traits at all.

[Recaiden]

'If you want'. Such tricky words.
"Hmm. I'm blue, but I don't know if it would match. What do you think of red?"
Leah keeps her sunglasses on, so you couldn't blame someone for saying she wasn't that blue.

Then a whole list of words. Hmm. She wouldn't call herself strong, or confident, or cunning, or levity-ous. And she's not that fuzzy. I mean, just compare to Mist. She suppose she'll have to pretend.
"Hmm, for things like that, I would add earnest, open, daring."

[Deathkeeper]

Mist laughs.
"I guess red makes more sense for a fox doesn't it?
I'm sorry if I'm not very helpful Leah. Ever since I became more fairy I think I have been a little more...esoteric? Physical stuff is as important as traits. That's why I'll go along with whatever you'd want. I kind of want to know what you'd do with the offer." he tells her, eyes bright with enthusiasm.

[Recaiden]

Leah joins in the laughter.
"It does. So try a dark red." There are other reasons to avoid blue, and she's not going to get into them.

"You're lucky I can't just transform you on a whim though, or you'd have rather more to deal with than dye."
"They're really not though. As important. I like you just fine as a human, or with my aspect. So long as you challenge me the way you do."

On the way to the Mall

Mist gives another fox grin.
"Oh? I'm a shapeshifter Leah. I can handle whatever. And I guess people who know what they want is something I'm into. But you're right, it's not something you can do. Maybe full-you or your dad but they're not here." he says with a wave of a hand. Message is sort of always there but Leah knows what he means.

[Recaiden]

"Well, I guess we have some future experiments lined up then." Leah grins, starting to be comfortable again.

And here they are! Into the shopping center they go.

Concourse

"Yeah, well...maybe we can find some place romantic if you'd like to try that. What are we looking for here, exactly?" he doesn't really know if there's a place here that sells dyes. They came here for that, right? Or was it jackets?

[Recaiden]

"We'll find someplace tonight, then." Confident. It'll definitely work out.
Mist might want to come up with some suggestions of his own, as Leah's idea of a romantic place is likely to be a little unconventional.

"Dyes! Which we can definitely get at the alchemist's."
Or Magmart, but it's probably best not to go there.
"And something more casual than these." she suggests, tapping the collar of his shirt.

Professor Pi's Potions

Shall be their first stop.
Prof. Pi is his normal rat-like self, and has a number of dyes on hand, though Leah's size might pose a bit of a problem. He does sell potions to alter hair color, and might be more exact, wearing off after a set period of time. They're pricier though.
"I'll go with whatever you go for. Now, do you want to spring for the magic version? " Mist asks her. The whole place smells strongly of herbs and ingredients. It's a bit overwhelming for his nose.

"Hmmm, I didn't realize my tastes were pretty much already sufficient, if that's what journalists typically wear here." She smiles gently, gesturing towards the the journalist clothing the shopkeeper showed her. Her tastes are a bit darker, as indicated by the black jeans and dark brown, fleece-lined bomber jacket she's currently wearing. That would bode well for the enticing dress the shopkeep has brought, if she wasn't planning on dying her hair to a much darker shade when she wears it, though now she's having seconds thoughts about the necessity of doing so. Still, perhaps there's a third option.

"I think this might suffice, but do you happen to have one this style in red as well?"

[Recaiden]

Having a less sensitive nose, Leah find the whole store pretty neat.
She nods. "Probably simpler than dealing with all the mundane dyes. Might even be cheaper in the end, given sizes involved."

Heading up to the professor, she explains that she's looking for a coloration potion to change only one set of stripes, and a dark red color potion for Mist, and while she's here may as well pick up some healing potions for her sister, and does he sell that solvent that dissolves any solid and has to be kept in the special oil-bottles? How about a sex-changing formula? Something to resist carcinotoxins? Truth serum?

Maybe visiting this shop was a mistake.

Prof. Pi's Potions

Prof. Pi has all of those things except the solvent, and begins tweaking an existing potion for Leah on the spot to make sure it only colors what she has in mind. The rest depends on what she wants. Truth for one question, or a minute? Or an hour? Sex change for something specific (making a female->male potion is cheaper than one that goes both ways) and how emphasized does she want the effect?

Mist quickly zones out and waits outside while she's negotiating.

"Truth by the question should be fine." As for the other, male->female, temporarily, so perhaps that counts as both ways, rather emphasized.

Poor Mist. Get some fresher air.

Prof Pi's Potions

Leah should be able to get however many single-question truth serums along with one very-lady potion, and a simple vial to reverse the effects. Plus the healing potions and the health stuff she wanted.
"Don't lose that now." he says as he packs the 'antitode' with the rest. All the potions are labelled. As is Leah's bill. Pi is reasonable but magic isn't cheap.

[Recaiden]

"I don't lose things. Thank you."
Leah smiles politely and counts out a neat stack of golden coins. One might wonder where she gets her money, but she doesn't seem too concerned by the price.

And in a moment she's rejoining Mist outside with a case of nicely labelled potions of various sorts.
"Okay. There's that."

[Deathkeeper]

Concourse

Mist nods.
"Sorry, I kind of spaced out there. Let's go grab some clothes or something." he says cheerily.

[Recaiden]

"Or something."

They duck into a clothing outlet, where Leah finds a blue shirt with decidedly fewer buttons, a matching sort of caparison, and a shiny loop scarf.

Concourse

Mist will exit with a green long-sleeved shirt and jeans with a brown belt. "So, where do we go now? You have a preference on where to go?" he asks. Presumably their old clothes can be hung on Leah's back for carrying. Or else they just bought a bag.

[Recaiden]

Leah generally has a number of pouches and bags and packs for carrying things. It should be fine.
"Let's go drop off these older things, and then...no, wherever you'd like."

Mist nods. "Well, okay. I think I might know a spot." he says, and leads her back out of the mall....

"I admit not being a expert on journalist clothing, but the few journalists we had wore either this or a brown coat combined with a white shirt and a red tie. I believe there was one journalist called 'Faith' that wore that." The shop keeper explains. "But of course we have one in red, if that is what the costumer desires." It moves off and soon returns with the same clothing, but in red.

Electra considers for a moment when the shopkeeper returns, looking the clothing over, then nodding.

"I think this should do nicely, thanks." She hands him her bank card to pay for the items.

"Excellent." The shop keeper replies and soon returns the credit card once the payment have been made. "Good bye."

Electra nods, taking the card back and tucking it into her wallet, then the wallet into an inner pocket in her jacket, before taking the clothes and smiling.

"Thank you again for your help. Be well!" And with that, she moves back out into the concourse, before heading towards MagMart. There are some other things she need to buy there before heading home.

Restaurant Enchante

"Certainly, but that requires playing all of your cards right, and flattery is just one of them." Denaria points out with an amused smile as she takes a sip of wine. "You're going to have to show me a different card trick if you're going to get the whole shebang. Why don't you tell me a bit about yourself? You're an adventurer I assume. Got that kind of feel to you."

Restaurant Enchante

"Good catch," Harnetta says, smiling, "I'm a noble brat that's much stronger than most people, and a whole lot dumber than the average guy. I got roped into becoming an adventurer when an investigator rolled through town looking for a bodyguard, and I was at it right up until the point where I came to the Nexus. I also took a two-year long Hiatus in a place called Marlick Bay where I did a stint as a superhero. I like to think I'm a bit wiser than before, but I'd still classify myself as something of a skilled dumbass."

She seems fairly intelligent, but who knows? She might even be telling the truth.
