Could the Snarl be a form of Ragnarok coming?
Food for Thought - could a form of Ragnarok be coming?
-A God-destroying abomination may soon be unleashed in the North (not that geographic distance matters, but think plot-distance).
-Loki is arguing with Heimdall insisting on 'fun' and being ok with calling it close.
-The Snarl has had time to prepare and stew on its hatred, it may not be so easy to rebuild a prison. In fact, if it manages to get out before Loki's prediction, the Snarl (or whatever is inside) may even 'protect the World' from the Gods to prevent the prison form being rebuilt (granted, the Snarl is a creature of chaos, so we can't predict it).

Re: Could the Snarl be a form of Ragnarok coming?
Hmmm ... yes. Expecting a chaotic being to behave the same way as a previous sample of 1 does seem to be somewhat flawed reasoning.

Re: Could the Snarl be a form of Ragnarok coming?
I don't think the Ragnarok comparison works particularly well, beyond the fact that we're talking the end of the world. Ragnarok envisages two Manichean sides destroying each other in an inevitable and inescapable conflict. Neither side wins, in any meaningful sense. With the Snarl, you're not dealing with two equal foes nuking each other and taking the world with it; you're dealing with something much more analogous to the Nothing from The Never-ending Story: the very presence of the Snarl negates existence.
