So PA works just announced a new anime they're doing. And despite what the name would imply, it doesn't have anything to do with either Sakura Spirit or Sakura Trick. I've not gotten around to watching Shirobako or Hanasuka Iroha, but the pitch sounds interesting and the staff I recognize from other shows seem to generally be pretty good.

I wonder if the new base that computers were being "infected" with was meant to be ternary. I guess it's probably just a small detail, or maybe even an accident since most people probably don't know about ternary. I only know about it cause the guy told me about how some time ago Russia had ternary computers, and that they also needed a different voltage or something like that to run because of it.

I hadn't realized the next season started so soon. By coincidence it was next on my list (after Gankutsuou) since I didn't have time to catch it earlier this year for whatever reason. I guess I have just enough time to catch up now.

I'm not a fan of Japanese style of humor... But Konosuba is one of the few anime that made me legitimately LOL! Specially the episode where they decide to purify the lake.

So I don't really like watching sports on TV, but lately I watched two sports animes for the first time and haven't watched many other animes either.

Haikyuu!! (high school volleyball) was fun, at times thrilling and made me care about their characters. Yuri!!! on Ice (professional figure-ice skating) was.. uh something. I used to dislike the sport, the music they used, the suits, the jury system etc. etc. and it still has managed to keep me entertained with sometimes nice music and a cute and also occasionally exciting story. Still think the suits and hairstyle are horrendous, but I think I'd actually like some ice-skating performances now, even though I still don't see the difference between the different jumps (they're not explained well, in contrast with haikyuu which does explain the mechanics of the sport nicely). Overall, I'd recommend both.

Well, I noticed Accel World: Infinite Burst had the exact same art as the anime series and figured "hey, if this is picking up where it left off then I have to at least see what they did with it."

They conjured up some non-canon antagonist for a non-canon plotline. It also abandons anything that made Accel World remotely stand out. Infinite Burst is a fun cliched shonen, there's entertainment there, but disappointing on multiple levels.

Scarlet Rain's artillery mech turned into a semi truck. That was definitely the best part.

I saw my friend playing it, and was curious until I googled the fact it was Japanese only still. =( Carpe Fulgar why won't you get working on that!?*

11th or 12th, depending on your time zone. Internet says it airs at 1:05 in Japan.

New Fate stuff is... interesting? These are adaptations of games released exclusively in Japanese on consoles I don't own, so of course all my knowledge stems from vague things I read online, making this new and exciting, maybe. The servant choices are certainly a lot more colorful than the ones in the original and Zero, anyway.

And the only sports manga I've read is Gokuraku Seishun Hockey Club.

Sports manga/anime is definitely I avoid a big way, being about as far from a sport person as possible irl (I mean as far as interests go, not necessarily in ability... though though too I guess).
But despite myself I have in the past found myself reading Eyesheild 21 aaand admittedly didn't hate it, but I still definitely am in no way in a hurry to read anything else sport related.

Soma, One Outs, Slam Dunk, Haikyuu, and Free are sitting somewhere in my plan to watch list. Maybe I'll have to add Yuri on Ice after this season.

Is that actually any good? It sort of interests me but if it goes into history or weirdly all female casts then I suspect it might start to annoy me.

...It is an all-female cast. For reasons stated in the show. But I suspect that falls under your definition of "weirdly" if you're saying that in the first place.

Eh I'm not a fan of Animes talking about that period of history. As for females if they have a stated reason I doubt I would mind that, even if the reason was just that it's the girls league of this particular sport.

I like soma and it is amazing how this weird show can manage to actually get me excited about cooking. But... It still can't stand up to my nostalgic memories of Captain Tsubasa

Are you suggesting there are no anime with "weirdly all female casts"? And I'm not talking about GuP, albeit it is slightly strange. But looking at things like Yurikuma or Yuri Yuri you have to wonder how people in these worlds reproduce. (Maybe it has something to do with their titles, though)
