Unable to speak without reciting recipes, Mogmurch just stuffed his harvest into his belt boot, and touched his finger to the pooling blood, which had been splattered by Reta's hacking and slashing after the creature died.

He sucked the blood off his finger and snorted angrily. Sticky ichor. Tasty blood. Nasty flowers. Tasty poison for tricking. Ruined. RUINED!

Mogmurch left it at that to search the cave.

The Nest

After the spider is harvested for reagents, and then butchered for sport, the goblins quickly loot the area for any valuables. They find: 24 gp, a Small masterwork light crossbow with 11 bolts, a single pearl worth 100 gp, 2 potions of cure moderate wounds, a potion of bull’s strength, a potion of bear’s endurance, and a wax-paper-sealed package containing six pieces of licorice-flavored taffy (this taffy is strong enough to remove any lingering sickened effects left over from the previous night’s bonfire events).

While ridding the Licktoad tribe of the menace that was Lotslegs certainly makes them even greater heroes, the goblins mustn't forget that their original purpose was to retrieve more fireworks for the Chief.

Sorry for the delay. Kept putting it off since I was tired. I will try harder to keep this rolling so we can actually get to the Jade Regent Campaign. Thanks for the pokes on Hangouts! By the way, exp doesn't actually matter since you all will not likely level up until after the final battle so... onwards!

Mogmurch finishes brewing the cure wounds potions from the reagents just in time to discover the taffy. Scooping it up, he eats one immediately to see what it is, and then decides to share one with everyone else before pocketing the last two, however, Reta steals them after Mogmurch barely gets in in his mouth, and before he can share.

He offers a trade of one his potions for the crossbow, gesturing excitedly, but mumbling about poisons and chemicals. And then he gestures at Reta.

He doesn't seem interested in any of the shiny stuff.

Reta snatches up the licorice from Mogmurch greedily, claiming, "MINE! TASTY CANDY MINE FOR KILLING SPIDER!" and eats a piece, savoring it in an unusually controlled manner. The smile that her oversized mouth shows after the first bite is genuine and not at all spiteful as she looks more comfortable suddenly with her stomach.

Looking at the potions carefully, the warrior-goblin asks, "WHAT THEY DO? WHICH GOOD FOR BIG SWORD-CHOP FOR LICKTOADS?" The gold coins look perplexing, and she looks to Poog for guidance on how to handle them as she tries to count them several times. After the third attempt, during which she gets confused trying to switch hands to count on her fingers, she shrugs and gives up, passing them to someone else without concern.

How about Bull's Strength and Bear's Endurance for Reta?

Mogmurch squeals with anger, but backs down when Reta glares. Pointing at the two potions not for healing, Mogmurch mumbles: Big Strong potions. Bear heart, bull tail, bones, sticky leaves.

Extending a hand, Mogmurch gestures for Reta to give the licorice, and then points at the other two.

After Mogmurch's explanation, Reta looks suspiciously at the alchemist goblin. "NOT MAKE RETA SICK, LIKE NASTY SLUGS? LICORICE GOOD, MAKE RETA BETTER! SAVE...ONE...TWO FOR ME, JUST IN CASE!" she says as she takes the two potions indicated, carefully counts out two pieces of licorice, and passes the rest (along with the gold coins) to Poog.

Mogmurch shook his head at Reta's fears, and then licked his lips and patted his belly as if to imply the potions would be tasty. Rempty always liked the taste of the potions Mogmurch made, at least. Mogmurch thought they tasted like soured molasses, but that wasn't too bad.

Poog takes the proferred coins and licorice piece. "Good for make tummy no hurt? Huh. OK" With a shrug, he scoops up everything that looks like it might be valuable and dumps it unceremoniously in one of the sacks. He tosses the sack over his shoulder and turns back from the cave.

One hand in the sack, he gently caresses the large firework as he leaves the cave and turns back down the trail marked on their map. "Come on! Gotta get more fireworks for Great Chief Gutwad!"

After reaching the spot on the map

After their complete victory over Lotslegs (a goblins favorite type of victory), the goblins continue on their quest for more fireworks. It isn't too long before they can hear the faint sound of ocean waves as they near the coast. Before the worry that they will need to swim for the fireworks sets in, they come upon their destination. A Longshanks ship appears to have wrecked here long ago, and it would appear that it is right were Scribbleface marked on the map.

Unfortunately, it appears as though the ship is occupied. Goblin bones and skulls line the railing of the deck, and barking dogs could be heard. The less brave among you might have their knees knocking together at this point, for you have stumbled upon the lair of Vorka, the goblin cannibal.

Unusually quietly, Reta looks at the other goblins and says, "WHAT WE DO NOW? VORKA BAD GOBLIN, AND RETA NO WANT TO BE LUNCH. SNEAKY GOOD BUT RETA NO GOOD AT SNEAKY. WHO GO FIRST?"

Mogmurch heard a strange sound and looked down to see his legs knocking. Shaking his head, he pushed Reta to the front and hid behind her.

Poog steps forward, angrily chastising his less-ballsy companions. "Who you #%$@&¥ be? Licktoad champions, or Licktoad babies?! Great Chief Gutwad choose we for big mission! We kill lotslegs when Chief Gutwad even say we should run! No Goblin canni- canni-" he scowls as he proves unable to remember the word- "No Goblin eater gonna eat Poog! Time for dog-killing!"

The foolish brace little goblin lies down on his belly, and does his best imitation of an army crawl to get closer to the boat unseen, whispering to himself for Zarongel's blessing.

Mogmurch falls down flat and follows without a word. Though he is scared of being eaten, he is scared of being a coward more.

Still, he stays a short ways behind Poog. After all Poog has Zarongel's favor and Mogmurch just has Mogmurch.

The Shipwreck

As you all approach the shipwreck, you see that its rigging is thick with moss and decorated with lanterns and windchimes made from goblin skulls and bones. Strange writing is faintly visible along the ship’s prow, while the soggy, swampy “yard” that surrounds the wreck is encircled by a rickety wooden fence. A thin curl of smoke wafts up from a chimney that protrudes from an unusual box-like structure near the ship's bow. As you crawl past the fence, the mud is churned up and sticky making it exceedingly difficult to crawl through (Difficult Terrain).

From around the shipwreck, the sound of neighing and hooves can be heard... and it is getting closer! You may want to stand up and be prepared to fight!

One of the most vile beasts ever to roam the earth was nearby, Mogmurch could hear it's rock feet clomping and it's demon whistling. Horses!

Mogmurch leapt up quickly, grabbing his crossbow and aiming it in the direction of the sound, reading himself to shoot the first horse he saw.

Poog rises, dogslicer in hand, and turns to face the source of the sound. Pure hatred shines in his eyes as he recognizes the same sounds. "Burn horses, eat meaties!"

As the pulse-quickening quadruped rounds the corner, Poog stands ready for it and calls down Zarongel's flames upon if for [4 fire damage], causing it to rear up in distress at the flames. Using this distraction, the brave goblin heros have a chance to finish the fight before it even begins!

Just after the initial gout of flame summoned by Poog, Mogmurch releases a bolt at the startled horse, scoring a hit for [3 damage].

The cleric of Zarongel and the alchemist both try again with their weapons of choice, but with the horse flailing about in pain, only Mogmurch manages to land a hit if barely for [1 damage]

It is then when Chuffy lurches forward to slice at the horse with his dogslicer for (1d4-1)[0] (1) damage and (1d6)[2] Sneak attack damage.

The horse lets out a wet gurgle as it is set upon by Reta who chops so hard with her dog slicer, that the horse nearly gets cut in two.

The goblins regroup at the gangplank, wondering who will be first to trespass on Vorka's lair.

Still he isn't completely inept at secrecy and conniving- he is a Goblin, after all. He takes out a javelin, and mentally prepares himself to cast divine favor at the first sign of living enemies.
