Will Destroy World for Power

This one gets my vote since I doubt the unraveling of reality started by Ardon's deal is something that will be resolved by the time we hit page 50. Technically he did that for freedom rather than power (and even gave up power to do so) but I am not entirely sure that "Will Destroy World For Freedom" has the same ring to it.


Although perhaps "May Destroy World For Free" would work?

Also, and I realize this is a problem of my own making, but this current thread is technically the second thread even though I didn't number it as such. Should we count the original dead thread that didn't make it this far and count the next one as part III or just make it part II and ignore the original one in the number sequence?

I couldn't care less what the title is as long as the topic is easily recognizable. Sometimes people on this forum get so caught up with coming up with "clever" titles that they forget what the point of a title is.

I really have to wonder how Drake survived this long. If he's this easy to rile up and willing to go this far for his own satisfaction, how has he not already been killed by his own hubris? How has he avoided pissing off the wrong person? Luck?

Maybe he gets a good deal of resurrections?
Otherwise, yeah, it's probably luck.
That and no one actually dangerous to him seems to take his antics that seriously so far.

I mean, Lady Bunnies is a ditz and doesn't seem to realise what he's doing and Owls and Bears seem more bemused by his tantrums than anything.
It's probably the same for other nobles.

I just came here to ask the same question, dude is so aggressive that it is suicidal long term. I guess he probably just spends most of his time only in contact with his minions and family who he can safely murder.

I am pretty sure that she just found out that all of her and her husband's slaves have escaped. By itself I think that wouldn't be worse than leaving his father without an heir, but Ardon is still doing that on top of leaving his father without an heir.

I am pretty sure Ardon doesn't want his sister dead (and I am pretty Odie wouldn't kill her unless she attacked him, which I feel she is too apathetic to do so). He still feels guilty about killing his brother while under the nightmare spirit's influence and his sister is the only family member he doesn't hate.

I feel like that last panel is a bait and switch. We'll see tomorrow, but I strongly suspect next page is Odie mumbling to himself about the stupid werebear while walking to the slave quarters.

It's good he actually used his brain for once. It also endangered the people he's there to rescue for absolutely no reason. Baby steps I guess.

Hope the room the slaves are watching from had another exit.

Hypothetically, let's say he didn't fight and got into the slave quarters. Would fighting this guy on the way out, but now with a whole bunch of weak human slaves to protect, have been better/easier? Sure, Odie probably wasn't thinking that way but it doesn't mean he didn't do the right thing accidentally.

The plan was for Odie to avoid fights with the secruity guards. I find it difficult believe that Ardon didn't think about Odie leaving with his people when coming up with the plan, meaning avoiding the guards on the way out should also be possible.

Granted I do believe he didn't consider Odie would actually be able to win such a fight, but still. Odie should have saved those daily powers for a fight he couldn't avoid (by avoiding this one) just in case something went wrong and an unavoidable fight that he would need them for came up.

Well, at least he got to look cool in front of his ex girlfriend. He was already prioritizing that over actually rescuing his people, so mission accomplished I guess.

If you stop and think about it Odie is kinda a terrible person. He's lucky he hangs out with Ardon so he looks like a good guy in comparison.

I don't really see it. Odie is, at most, emotion-driven. Lazying around the island was hardly some terribly selfish act when there really were no threats around - and back then he would have been useless against the eladrin, either getting enslaved himself or killed.

Right now he lost his cool, but it's not like he's doing it because he thinks Kina is watching and will admire him for fighting.

Odie's main morality flaw is shared with the rest of the party: giving Ardon a pass for all his horrid crimes.
