Similarly, don't be afraid to sell your spare mods. You rarely need more than two of each (one at low level for new warframes and weapons, one levelled up for high-level play), and you certainly don't need 90+ Vitality's, like I normally have hanging around.

Gabii, also on ceres, is a dark sector that nets you 24k for 5 minutes of survival. It's usually my first mission of the day for double credits.

I would say that converting duplicate mods into endo is a better return than on credits.

As luck would have it, there was an alert yesterday for 5 kavat genetic codes, and I managed to snag the rest through farming with Vauban. So I now have a cat in the incubator.

    *shrug* Each to their own.

I get the theory of saving up Endo, but I found that early on in the game I didn't have the MR or Forma to make use of high level Mods, so stockpiling Endo didn't do me much good. I preferred to have the Credits to spend on weapons and Warframes so that I could be doing something productive, ranking up and finding equipment that I liked for casual play.
With that, the Endo came organically (well, it was relics when i was "young", but still ), and I still found myself hurting for Credits, which I needed to upgrade mods anyway.

The option is there anyway, Grytorm. If you're ever going to spend Platinum on a Warframe, pick up either Hydroid or Nekros and you'll have a much easier time making money and Endo, but until then the option is available if you need a quick injection of cash for an emergency.

Yeah I have been selling spare mods, but I went through a bit more aggressively. Got Oberon started and the Nova components under construction. Approaching the end of the Limbo Theorem. Got Nyx started a day or two ago. And I got my MK-1 Braton up to 30 so I don't have any reason to use it any more.

I recommend Nekros over Hydroid as Hydroid needs an augment and good targeting of his naughty, naughty tentacles to get the extra drop. Meanwhile Nekros works out just fine without the Despoil augment, but I highly recommend getting it for those mass Despoil sprees.

Well, this should be fun. Kogake Prime look badass, as do the AkBolto Prime. Was personally hoping for Zephyr, but I saw the pass coming a mile off - just like Banshee last year, Zephyr was never popular enough to get a holiday slot over someone like Mirage.

Further to Wraith's description, it's also free to play, but without the more predatory microtransactions that plague the F2P market; nearly everything that costs the premium currency (platinum) is pay to skip or cosmetics, plus there's ways of earning platinum without spending real money.

Focus 2.5 is out, and I must say that I like the discounts quite a bit. I had thought that you'd only have to worry about a single pool of Focus, but what they meant by that is that your available focus node points are universal, which isn't terrible.

I actually managed to get to the point where I've got a couple of nodes maxed out and waiting for the 1 mil to unbind them. Can't say that I'm particularly enthusiastic about the fact that they haven't changed the way people get Focus, especially seeing as the cap is now more than doubled and a soft one at that (at least for me).

Focus 1.0 to 2.0 was a pretty major tweak, as was damage 1.0 -> 2.0.

I really miss my Zenurik Energy Overflow because it was something I could activate once and forget about. I could toggle World on Fire off between waves and regenerate more than the activation cost. If I was running a stealth mission, I could slip into a room where no enemies spawn and toggle Prowl off while I took a quick bio break and come back to a full energy bar. Those were good times.

I still think it sucks that the Zenurik passive of getting half the energy from an orb over a few seconds doesn't happen (nor do you gain energy from Energy Siphon) if you're using a channeled ability. Do any of the other school passives have a condition like that?

The short answer to your question is "no, there isn't".

Despite all of the hard work and expansion that they have done on the mid- and late-game experiences, Digital Extremes have made absolutely no effort to enhance the new or returning player experience. If anything, with the huge changes that they have made to the star map, the replacing of Cores with Endo and the extensive focus on the new Spoiler Mode plotline, returning players will probably feel even more confused at things that ought to be familiar, but aren't.

The best resources available are unofficial ones, like the Wiki and a friendly forum of which to ask questions directly. GitP is one of the better ones that I know of, if I do say so myself, so the best advice I can give is to just get stuck in and tell us when you get stuck.

Technically speaking you can do the same with Focus 2.5, just use Energising Dash first before the break and Energy Siphon will fill in the gaps. One bonus of the new system is that it can help team mates.

None of the other school passives that affect warframes have a regen ability and the only warframe passive with a time constraint that I can see, is Power Spike from Naramon which gives the combo counter a decay delay instead of it just simply vanishing.

Yup; I've completed a couple of practice runs with Banshee/Shade/Dark Dagger and it went pretty well. I need to finish a few more practices first though, as I've failed as many times as I've succeeded and I'm complaining mostly because it's the first test in a long time where I've actually had to put effort into it.
