The city is alive before the cockerel's crow as merchants raise their stalls in the main street or fires are lit for baking bread, and the main hall of the Wander Inn is no exception. Although the barrels and flagons marking the tavern area frequented by the guild's elder members are pushed aside (and could do with a rinse from the previous night) there is a glow and a warmth permeating the hall from the cooking quarters as the guildmates better inclined to the culinary arts begin to set up breakfast. A young and graceful Elf girl moves with practiced skill as the sous chef behind a middle-aged plump Halfling as they set few dozen eggs to sizzle on an iron slab warmed by Produce Flame, freshly Created Water to either chill in a drum with several Ice Crystals or boil to be made into tea, some thick-cut slabs of ham carved off from one of several spits left roasting overnight on a platter, and several castings of Estanna's Stew made a little more interesting by the leftovers of anything uneaten the night before.

From the upper balcony the wizened master of the guild, the swordsman Kotoni, rests against the banister to take the weight off his old bones and drinks in the enticing smell of cooking fat. A sharp knock comes at the door, and in the blink of an eye the master warps down to the entryway. He passes a silver coin to the palm of the impossibly small Gnome paperboy who scampers off with his job done, and Kotoni begins tacking the delivered flyers to the cork board on the back wall. He can already hear footfalls from the sleeping quarters above, and he smiles to himself knowing his quiet morning is over.

With no greater fanfare than a yawn and a stretch, Darwin Freeborn makes himself known to the world as he steps down from the upper floors into the Guild Hall proper. *Yawn* Morning, Mr. Eyebrows! What kind of awesome adventures are on the board today?" Darwin asks of Guild Master Kotoni. Referring to him with the "endearing" nickname he chose for the wizened swordsman upon meeting him, and immediately taking notice of his enormously bushy eyebrows.

Darwin takes his seat at the Guild Hall table, digging into the eggs and ham before him with the ardent fervor that can only come from someone who still actually cares about breakfast. A lost art amongst the hustle and bustle of daily life.

[Rizban]

Tsuki was already awake early, as usual for her. It was sometimes rumored she never slept. As she sat in her usual spot against the wall farthest from where the others typically congregated, she took note of Kotoni and Darwin as they made their appearance, mildly surprised that the latter had arisen so early this morning. Tsuki does her best to not be noticed as she requips one of her juggling knives and begins to oil and sharpen it, the daily maintenance of her weapons visibly relaxing her.

Tsuki's breakfast had consisted of toasted day old bread and chai tea, with just a little peanut butter on the toast since she'd been able to get some of the delicacy as part of the payment of her last mission. Only a few crumbs and cold coffee remained at this point in the morning, but she had yet to clear away her spot, as if she wanted people to see that she had already eaten and not bother her about it. Good-natured though they were, Tsuki still hadn't managed to become comfortable with the attention her fellow Wanderers gave her from time to time.

As the day progressed, Tsuki continued to sit and watch as the guild awoke, just enjoying the peace of the early morning.

As Darwin patted his belly from a meal well ate, his eyes wander to the corner of the table, where Tsuki was attempting to remain inconspicuous. The young Elf looked ponderous for a moment, before a sudden epiphany crossed his face. Darwin quickly ran to the kitchen area and, after a short conversation with the chef, the Elven Cleric quickly ran over to Tsuki's corner, both his hands hidden dramatically behind his back. For a moment, Darwin just stood there, smiling. Then, in one swift motion, both his hands shot out, the Elf bowing his head in unison as though he were presented a royal a gift.

Inside Darwin's hands... Lay a single fish. A trout, specifically, its dead eyes staring up at the roof in utter apathy. "Here." He says, smiling from ear to pointed ear. "It's for Eiko. She likes fish, right?" He asked, some deep corner of his mind trying to tell him he may have committed some kind of social faux pa.

[Rizban]

At Darwin's sudden motion, Eiko startles and darts back behind Tsuki's back. Tsuki jumps slightly, her dagger reflexively snapping into a defensive posture. Embarrassed, she blushes and stares into her lap. Eiko's nose appears from behind Tsuki's shoulder as she sniffs the air briefly. Peeking out, she leans up and whispers to Tsuki, who speaks in a quiet voice without looking up even once.

"Y-Yeah... She likes fish... but she prefers it... er... cooked."

[Capt. Infinity]

"Oh... Okay!" And with that, in a sudden flash, a spear of light shoots out of Darwin's upturned hands, utterly burning the fish to a Charcoal Black.

"Better?" The Elven Cleric asks, completely innocent in his scattershot kindness.

The little cat turns her nose up at the fish and goes back to hiding behind Tsuki.

"Er... Eiko says she prefers... sauteed... with butter and lemon... on rice pilaf."

[Capt. Infinity]

...And then the fish disintegrates.

"...It's the thought that counts?"

[Rizban]

Tsuki nods softly.

"Oh. Okay. Thanks..."

Silver had slept behind a barrel, having lost a bet about who could drink more with a dwarf. Why had he taken the bet in the first place? He was already drunk, and the dwarf was very persuasive. Fortunately, the bet was not for any money, unfortunately thay was because Silver had none.

Regardless Silver stood up at the crackling of fat, and the smell of cooking. He watched everyone for a while, still groggy, and perhaps a little drunk as well, not sure if he was hungry, or not.

Watching people interact, he thought about approaching them, but they seemed content and he didn't want to interrupt. Until the elf burned a fish. Into ashes. With holy fire. At that point, Silver had not choice but intervene.

"Oh boy charred fish." He said merrily, and scooped up some of the ashes before dumping them into his mouth. "Delicious! Turned into carbon, just the way I like it! Thanks Darwin."

In truth, it wasn't bad, except for the fact he was pretty sure some of thay ash wasn't from the fish. Never the less, Silver had the tendency to "overcook" his meat. It wasn't a Genasi thing either, both his parents liked their steak rare. But for some reason, Silver had always like the taste of charcoal. Giving the elf a pat on the back, he grinned at Tsuki. "Lemon is acidic. That's no good for eating. Maybe some eggs?"

[Rizban]

Tsuki shrieks when Silver approached and grabbed at the ashes, quickly covering her mouth in embarrassment. She looks up and around the room, eyes darting from place to place. She'd finally found a quiet spot, and now everyone decided to intrude!

Spotting the job postings, Tsuki grabs Eiko mutters "Excuse me.," and hurries over to it, quickly making herself look busy.

[Capt. Infinity]

Darwin gives Silver a stare as he devours the ashes of his holy flame... And then, Tsuki runs away.

"Well don't leave ME with the scary stone man! Wait up!!!" And suddenly, he too was over by the bulletin board. VERY enthused with the texture of the cork, all the way across the room.

[Rizban]

When Darwin moves to stand beside her, Tsuki suppresses a flinch and moves a half step to the side to "give him room". At least, that's how she hopes he interprets it, because she's totally not jumpy... Just say that 5 more times and count to ten. Deep breaths. You're fine...

"Oh, getting a job? Good idea. Let me come with. I need to earn some more coin. Burned fish don't grow on trees. ... They swim in the ocean, and I'd sink if I tried to catch one." Silver followed Tsuki, oblivious to her attempting to escape.

Happy to have someone to go on a mission with, or so he thought, he taped the wood of the post. "Ohh, plenty of fish here. Which one looks good to you? Gee, not the maid one huh? You look red from embarrassment. Thats fine. Ull do whichever you want." He gave her an encourage slap on the back.

Suddenly very eager, Silver waits for Tsuki to reply, so he can grab the flier for her.

Rilele wakes up, and, before doing anything else, rolls her bedroll back up. Beds may be nice (at least according to everyone she asked), but she never could manage to sleep in one. She deftly rebraids her hair.
Now prepared to face the day, she exits the sleeping quarters and bounds down the stairs, heading straight for the food. After acquiring a heaping plateful of everything, she hears a shriek, and whirls around to see Tsuki and Darwin heading for the bulletin board. On her way over to see what job is so exciting, she witnesses Silver walk up to Tsuki, and start being entirely too loud. She surreptitiously points a finger at him, and mutters a few words that her magic carries to his ears.

"In case you haven't noticed, you seem to be bothering Tsuki. You may want to settle down a bit."

She then walks over to the board with the others, eating all the while.

Silver looks around for a moment, then chuckles, realizing that he must be under a message. He whispers a reply back.

"Nonsense! Nonsense! We're just picking out a mission to go on! You should come along!"

[Rizban]

Tsuki stiffens visibly and stares at the board. As soon as Rilele approaches, she feels way overcrowded and just grabs one at random.

"Sorry! We already agreed to do this one, and it's got a limit of four! Me, Rilele, Eiko, and Darwin. Maybe next time!"

Before anyone can protest, she grabs Darwin and Rilele by the elbows and pulls them towards the door. She glances down at the flyer and is slightly horrified at the title: Maid to be a Butler.

Oh. Silver said, crestfallen. Well, if you already made plans...

Silver drooped for a moment, before suddenly perking up. Ah! Ah ha! You are teasing Silver! Great joke friend! That is impossible, because that notice just arrive just now, and Rilele had been sleeping until now! You're so funny! And with that, Silver followed them out.

[Capt. Infinity]

"Uhhhhh.... Hey, Silver! Look over the-OBSCURING MIST" And with that, the four were gone. Disappeared into the cloud of impermeable magic fog around them.

Darklink, I think you'll find more satisfaction with a different job. Go do the combat one. It's better suited for your character. Plus, IC, the characters want nothing to do with you right now.

"Well, I didn't agree to this job specifically, but I did say yesterday evening I would help Tsuki with her next job."

Tsuki, terrible with direct confrontation, shrinks back behind the other two and goes along with whatever.

Silver's mood plummeted again. Not even among fellow outcasts, eh?

He looked over the board again, and grabbed one at random without even look and moved to sit at a nearby table to read it. "What does this even mean? Lot's of things glitter... My hair glitters. Fish scales glitter. Gold glitters. Glitter glitters."

Ak'his Dremu curious about these "legends" his tribe talked about, that would cause a red dragon to attack, comes up short in the library. So many books and lore on dragons but none on what I seek. He closes the book he just finished reading then his stomach growls. Must be time to eat.

Ak'his heads down stairs just in time to see a cloud appear in the room. That's not normal. But then again someone's probably trying to hide from someone else. As he stares at it for a second. He then gets his meal and starts chowing down on his ham and eggs. MMMMM this is so good! His tail then starts waging side to side as he continues eating.

After a brief early morning walk around town, Þ slowly makes his way back to the Wander Inn.
Walking into the guildhall quietly, he ducks his head slight to avoid the lintel. Noting the faint smell of something burnt over the smells of cooking and the large cloud of mist obscuring much of the hall, Þ looks towards the Guild Master and smiles.
"They up to the usual shenanigans already? Breakfast is barely being served. I'd say it might be a record, except that I'm certain it's not..."
With a chuckle, the Changeling walks towards the kitchen, where he receives a mug of hot water. Noting the large-ish group checking out the new board postings, he takes a seat at a table and pulls out a number of leaves and herbs from a pouch at his belt and begins to brew his own tea, making sure his seat has a view of the board in case his fellows decide to continue to put on a show.

After eating his breakfast Ak'his walks back to the kitchen with his dishes as he passes Þ he thinks to himself Wow aren't you a tall fella. He puts away his dishes then heads back out to the board. Hmm what sounds good today He looks over the board standing next to Silver.

Farm village in the East: Sounds interesting seems these people really need some sort of help.
Treasure: Hmmmm I wouldn't mind some but most of it would probably go to the guild.
CARRY BAGGAGES WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT TO DO THAT!!! Save the strong guys but for NOBLES no less I'll pass!
Gather ingredients, Well if they're plants I could do that buuut nah maybe another time.
Find the missing cat...Ak'his goes quiet for a minute with a confused look on his face. Then he continues Aaaaaand boat work. I'm not a fan of the seas so I'll pass on that one.

Hmm, seems like I missed all of the excitement.
With a look of mild curiosity, Þ listens to Ak'his read off the new postings. He casually stands and picks up his mug, carrying it with him towards the board.
"Well, I may not be the hero type, but I don't approve of turning away those in need. What's this about farmers in need of help?"

Ak'his looks up at Þ, Wow you really are a tall fella He looks back at the board.
As for these farmers it looks like something keeps stealing their live stalk. I'm not the heroic type either but I'm always willing to help those in need. But I am NOT carry baggage for nobility REALLY?

Silver looked up at his other guild mates, feeling morose. But perhaps it would be best if he snapped out of his mood.

He crumpled the paper in his hand, before remembering what is was and smoothing it out a little. Placing his job back on the board, he smiled at the other two. "If one of you can lead, I'll help with that one. Seems to be a good cause. Last time I went out East I got irreparably lost for a whole day and ended up down south somewhere. Ended up saving some kid from a wendango or something, so it was worthwhile, but not getting paid again was a pain. So i was hoping to do something that paid better, but if two self-proclaimed non-heroes can agree to do it, so can I!"

Ak'hiss looks up at Silver, You're absolutely right I'm not a self proclaimed hero I'm just trying to make a name for myself and hope I can leave a mark on history He stands there for a minute. I don't suppose either of you have healing spells do you?

Þ looks down towards the little kobold.
"I have some ability to heal. My magics are more suited to gradual recovery though, so while I can bring us back to full strength after a nasty fight, I won't be able to do much if someone takes a serious wound in combat. Probably best to bring a potion or something just in case."
