    Default Compilin' Fun Songs

So, for the fun of it/jam-sharing, anyone want to compile a list of fun songs to listen to?

I'll start off with the classic hobo shanty, Big Rock Candy Mountain.

Well that's now stuck in m head. Again.

I find Weird Al's classic "Trigger Happy" to be a fun tune I always go back to.

I like Trigger Happy because it's great as satire, but the people it's satirizing also like it, so everybody wins.

On an almost tangential note, Stand and Deliver!

In the same vein ( and film), 'In the Jailhouse Now'

Does The Devil Went Down to Georgia count as a fun song?

When does it not? Some young punk with a fiddle swindles the devil himself out of a shiny golden violin, and Ol' Scratch only has himself to blame. It's a Faustian Bargain that actually pays off. If that ain't fun, what is?

Speaking of badasses getting their asses kicked, here's the tale of Bad, Bad Leroy Brown.

All depends on what you mean by "fun". One of my favorite fun songs is Shiny Shiny. Dean Elliott's version of You're The Top is a favorite (and from there go into any other weird lounge or cartoon theme song music). There was a wonderful, but long since defunct band around here called Bonehead (and later Kelly Supercool) that did some fun music (Proclaim was the one that made it on to every mix tape I made in the late 90s/early 2000s, but if you like that, the whole first album is on youtube and you probably won't find it anywhere else). Oingo Boingo is one of my favorite bands, and most of their stuff is pretty damn fun (It Only Makes Me Laugh is a good example, and tangent from there into pretty much any ska song). And from there, I start to go in weirder/darker directions, all of which I find very fun! After all, Everyday Is Halloween!

Nobody mentioned The Battle of New Orleans yet?

    Deficiency corrected.
    • Sometimes, the knights are the monsters
    • The main problem with the world? So many grownups, not enough adults.
    • Talk less; say more.
    • George R.R. Martin, Kirkman, and Joss Whedon walked into a bar. There were no survivors.
    • Current Project: Fallout 4 "nerd" build (3/7/2/2/9/3/2, PER 9 after boosts)

How about almost anything by Talking Heads? (it's pretty fun watching clips of their old live shows too). Some examples are This Must be the Place, Life During Wartime, Girlfriend is Better, and Take me to the River.

Chrome by VnV nation? A lot of their music is pretty motivating

Though my definition of "Fun" music is usually either music that sounds fun to play (which I can only judge for percussion and brass), or music that is motivating and/or comes with a strong groove.

Oooh how about Airman ga Taosenai (Can't Beat Airman) It's a nice song, and the lyrics are pretty entertaining.

Feel So Moon by Unicorn Is also a fun song. The anime it was made for has an entertaining animation for it, and the official music video is also neat.

A lot of Splatoons music is rather fun as well I think

    I Love Rock and Roll.

Also, Appetite for Destruction is an album which will never age, and no matter how many how big his ego gets or how many pies he eats, once upon a time Axl Rose could kill it. And Slash was better.

They should do more Space Brothers. Great show.

I find The Duck Song a lot of fun, as well as parts 2 and 3.

A lot of Team Teamwork's mashups of video game music with hip hop strike a fun chord with me, but some of the best are probably from their Ocarina of Rhyme album (warning, some NSFW lyrics).

Electric Six's early albums have a lot of fun songs.

Yeah, almost all of the opening themes and most of the ending themes for it are pretty "fun" too, though Feel So Moon is my favorite. (And I think it's the only one that is officially available on youtube)

I think at the moment they're waiting for the manga to catch up, the last batch of episodes ran a bit thin, but they have supposedly teased at another season coming eventually.
