I wonder if the events depicted in #947 contributed to (or caused) Durkon's fear of heights.

I just put together that Nale wasn't worried about Belkar's ability to penetrate his Elan disguise (fourth panel), but Belkar turned out to be the only one who saw through it.

Previously, someone pointed out that Nale quoted Han Solo ("sorry about the mess") at the Warthogs School... when he meets Pompey a few strips later, he quotes Indiana Jones ("it's not the years, it's the mileage"). Anyone spot any other famous Harrison Ford lines?

At the Godsmoot, all three dwarven high priests' gods were on the "no" side. Considering that they're minor characters, I wonder if it was intentional in order to avoid complicating things further with divided loyalties.

I never understood what Xykon meant in his last bubble of the first panel of #657. It just occurred to me today that it's plausibly a reference to Vaarsuvius' gender.

In the first panel of #883, when Tarquin says that he can "see far," and that V wasn't fighting with the Order, he's foreshadowing his Ring of True Seeing.

He's... foreshadowing the thing revealed 64 strips prior?

I just re-read the series from the start for the third time. When I got up to 338, panel 8, where V says to Roy regarding his kidnapped sister: "One's family must be defended when the need arises" I went "OUCH that was some hard foreshadowing of the mother dragon there."

Celia not being familiar with death euphemisms makes sense when you consider that the concept of death is completely different for an outsider/elemental.

And if you think about it, the ABD and V aren't all that different as far as caring about their families... I hadn't really thought about it deeply from that angle until you mentioned the above quote. Trouble is the Black Dragon was too late to defend, so she was more about the avenging.

In #604, Celia tries to distract the guild people by claiming whoever catches them gets a lot of treasure. Later, when they actually tag her, she escapes by promising a lot of Haley's treasure.

If Team Evil arrived at the gate just a couple of rounds later in #899, the correct answer to Roy's question in #331 would have been "Kraagor's Gate."

Note that the title of 899, where the pyramid blows up shortly after Team Evil arrives, is "Prophecy Fulfilled".

Blah, I meant #899, not #901. But yes, exactly. If they'd gotten there after the Gate had blown, though, technically they wouldn't be near the gate, since there's no gate anymore, and the correct answer would be Kraagor's Gate.

Rich mentions that he had planned for this to happen as soon as the prophecy was made-- that Team Evil would arrive at Girard's Gate next of those two, but only right before it blew up.

But if the Oracle had told them Kraagor's Gate, the Order would have gone there first and not blown up Girard's Gate, which would mean nothing was stopping Team Evil from taking it over.

Team Peregrine's commander and lieutenant first appeared with scowls on their faces, perhaps indicating that Rich had already decided on their attitude toward goblinoids and karmic fates (#707 being a setup for Implosion victims was confirmed by BRITF commentary).

This isn't exactly new, but after reading DSTP again and thinking about the Oracle banishing Roy because he has a meeting with the Ancient Black Dragon, I wonder what Roy would have tried to do if he'd been there to hear the ABD's question and the Oracle's response (and, presumably, some chatter from the ABD as to what she planned to do with this information).

I Think I noticed earlier that in strip 900, the cockroaches crawl out of a fridge after the explosion of Girard's Gate.
I don't Think I noticed one of them wearing a fedora and whip though, making the Indiana Jones reference even more blatant.
