He could be something well outside the context of biodynamics, which are still really a total mystery as near as anyone can tell anyways.
Thanks to Linklele for my new avatar!
If i had superpowers. I would go to conventions dressed as myself, and see if i got complimented on my authenticity.

Pretty sure Duval is just a regular old guy unfortunate enough to be in this situation.

I am referring to the other two that are also in the room. They are also both seem far older than those born during the storm and appear to have powers (unless this is an illusion.)

The others haven't displayed powers as such yet. The woman does have an odd eye color, though.

The mysterious man himself is a shapeshifter. His actual age may be vastly different than his apparent one.

These things said, I very much suspect you're right.

I figure that woman's power was some kind of lie detector power.

He says he's willing to help them deal with Menace. Hippo man looks to the woman. Her pupils are glowing and there's a motion line I'd associate with her shaking her head in the negative. Hippo man concludes that if this guy isn't going to help them, he's useless to them. Decides it's chow time.

Though yeah, if they really could protect him from Menace . . . One of them probably can block powers.

    Filler

I'm not sure the shoes and the dress fit with each other.
They kinda seem to clash style-wise.

Also, what's with the toilet seat around Al's neck?

From the comments, I think it's supposed to be one of those neck-support pillows, the sort you bring onto a plane so you can sleep during the flight. Though Allison sleeping while flying seems like a terrible idea.

The New York Times mentioned a comic book by Molly Ostertag (SFP's artist) today. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/12/19/u...gtype=Homepage It's the one in the bottom paragraph.

Time travel might explain the major tech advantage assuming the reason for superior defenses and firepower is tech.
