Specifically, one of the resources they have (which hasn't materialized onscreen yet because I am a bad) is a band of skilled Stoneweavers. So stone buildings with a significant degree of elaborateness in construction (if not necessarily decoration, given how moderate in taste the two leaders are) is a pretty likely option. Tunnels and other complex subterranean constructions placed inside the island are also likely.

If the Stoneweavers are left largely to their own devices, it'll be fancier of course, and I can draft some likely designs for layout and aesthetic. I'm not fully aware of what other backers Vigil has with the capability and desire to influence base construction.

Thinking about trying to get into this whole thing, but it's been a touch intimidating trying to wrap my mind around all the copious amounts of threads about Nexus. The thread that really caught my eye was Foxside. Seems to have a bit of a DnD lean to it, so as soon as I can grok where to best put my character app, I'd be more than happy to work on a cleric 'priest' of Inari. Could anyone spare a smidge of their time to help a fellow out with getting his feet wet in the pool of life Nexus?

Fade, one of my chars, got some shadows from different people. During the arifical solar eclipse they went rampage and left him. They might appear anywhere in inside, for example the giant shadow in inside.

So, if I understand this correctly, some shadows stolen from people are now loose, and need to be dealt with somehow, whether by returning them to their original owners or by some other method?

Well they are not stolen. they are copies Fade kept to copy the abilities of their owner. They could be brought to their original owner (not all chars are active in the nexus anymore) or they could be brought to Fade OR just knocked out for good. There might be other options, but that depends on the char dealing with them.

As you may have noticed, it's that time again! Election time!

Eastside (in Riverside) is selecting its next Mayor and Councillors!

Please submit your characters' candidacy in a PM to Recaiden, who will then post a ballot after a good while. Then we'll give the candidates time to campaign and intrigue until hopefully we have a good vote. Feel free to get involved as a politician or a voter even if you haven't done anything in Riverside!

Last time, Amyria ran basically unopposed on a platform of direct democracy and removing corruption. But can the people in power really be trusted? Is the city's tough-on-crime stance still what the people want? Can the people pick Councillors who aren't spineless yes-men?

In the Eastside elections:
The following people are running for mayor:

• Amyria (Recaiden), Incumbent mayor.
• Jezebel (Wolfy), goddess and leader of the Lotus Gardens.
• Nyarlahotep (LordDeathkeeper), Demon Lord of Knowledge. Not to be confused with Nyarlathotep.
• Stu (Reinholdt), a flower who needs no introduction.
• An NPC DN candidate who has no chance of winning. What happens to you after your revolution succeeds?

Barring some bizarre voting shenanigans, there can only be one mayor, so get campaigning!

And the following people are running for council positions:

• Toby Druid (Firefox), Medical Research Director of GLoG.
• Jasper Copperbrook (Black Socks), a new face promoting racial fairness. Which they already have quite a lot of in Eastside.
• Exar (LordDeathkeeper), who supports the arts and legal reform.
• Taine (LordDeathkeeper), who wants to reform the Hunters.
• Sapesh (LordDeathkeeper), who doesn't have a particular platform of his own but is very dignified and councilor-y.

Given that the number of council positions is >= 7, I expect that they will all find the office they seek.

If you wanted to have a character run but didn't say anything for the past few weeks, step up and I'm sure your candidate's paperwork will have been there all along.

The main responsibilities of a councilor are to talk about everything you're going to do to help the city, and then renege on those promises.
That is to say, they participate in parliament, make the laws, and decide the direction of the district.
They are expected to intrigue and politic and manipulate people.

It would, obviously, mean I will need to post more but it might be the motivation I need to force myself to post more, too.
