Devil's Deal IC 7: The Color of Garmine

[PersonMan]

Dilaa's smile grows as Brigadier speaks. "You're quite enthusiastic," she comments. "Would you prefer I bow, like you did? Or am I wearing too much for that now?"

[Hazuki]

Wotcher slowly shakes her head. "No fun." She repeats.

"You still bow, just facing the other way." Brigadier winks at the warrior.

Tulip looks sad once more.
"Aw... But... we're investigating things, and trying to find a way to help you remember! Maybe you'll have fun, after Shaisane takes us somewhere else? Is there somewhere you want to go?"

[Hazuki]

Wotcher shakes her head at the Petal.

[Archmage1]

Tulip looks sad, but then she smiles.
"Ok! Then maybe you'll come with us, and get to see the fun place Shaisane is going to take us to? It's a mystery!"
Tulip's voice seems quite hopeful.

[PersonMan]

"Are you sure that's the proper etiquette?" Dilaa asks, raising an eyebrow. "It sounds like something best done in private," she continues quietly, letting her words hang in the air for a moment before speaking again. "How long have you been in Garmine, by the way?"

[Hazuki]

Wotcher does not reply to Tulip.

"I don't know. A little while?" Brigadier replies, as she takes a gander down a nearby street. "I spent most of my time in the mainland, took a while for me to prove myself to a temple, and then made my way here for the trials. What about you?"

Wotcher's lack of a response seems to make Tulip look even sadder.
"But... if you stay here, then... I don't think this place can last much longer! And then you'll fall, into the water, and it's really wet! And cold! And there's nothing to eat here either!"

[Hazuki]

Wotcher crawls over to the rope.

[Archmage1]

Tulip seems quite pleased at the show of energy, smiling merrily.
"Yaay!"
She too darts over towards the exit, before she flies outside.

[PersonMan]

"I haven't been here for that long, either, though most of the time since my arrival I've been on expeditions further inland or on the mainland - I've only spent a few nights actually inside Garmine," Dilaa replies.

[Hazuki]

Unsurprisingly, the outside of the rope trick hasn't changed a great deal since Tulip went inside. The sky has darkened, and all of the water is still present.

"Is that what you did before?" Brigadier asks, as she turns towards the alley.

Tulip looks back into the hole, waiting for her friends to come out(And looking the other way too)

[PersonMan]

"Not really - I was traveling for a while, but before that I stayed in my home city for most of my life," Dilaa explains. "Far to the south, where the green is replaced by harsh sand."

[Raunchel]

Shaisane puts her books away, and comes out. Readying herself. "Tulip, could you show me a place close to the Dahlia's garden, not right outside, but close enough to walk there?"

Tulip, still hovering outside while Wotcher and Shaisane clung to the rope, nods.
"I can! There was a really nice spot on the mountain! We could see a really, really long way, and there were flowers, and sparkly rocks, and nice trees! And a fun breeze! And some really yummy berries!"
She focuses for a moment, and the ocean disappears, to be replaced by an image of a view from a mountain, an overlook, with flowers, and bare granite, laced with quartz, with a scattering of alpine trees, all gleaming in the sunlight.

Such a place might exist a couple of hours away from Dahlia's home.

Of course, the sound of the ocean, rather than the sound of the mountain, does take away some of the beauty.

Shaisane smiles: "Thank you Tulip. We shall try to see if we can reach it. And whatever happens, don't let go of my hand. If we end up in the wrong place, I will return us to Garmine."

At Shaisane's words, Tulip darts over, and lands on her head, holding on tightly.
"This is much better! You need your hands, to hold on, and to wave around!"

[Hazuki]

"Got to say, I prefer the green." Brigadier replies. "I, uh, heard they have a whole other language down there, don't they? I guess everywhere has new languages. Dumb question, don't answer it."

Tulip, Shaisane, and Wotcher find themselves standing in the middle of a forest clearing that very much resembles the forest outside Garmine, only thick enough that they can't get a clear view of the sky.

Tulip looks around, hoping to recognize where she was, still hugging Shaisane's head.
"But... this isn't the right place! It isn't on the mountain! Maybe it's nearby?"
Following her own prompting, she jumps into the air, and flies up, adroitly avoiding the branches and leaves in her quest to look at the sky, and see what was around.

[PersonMan]

Dilaa raises an eyebrow at Brigadier's retracted question. "I do think the sands can be unpleasant, compared to the fields and forests here. The animals are certainly less dangerous," she says, honoring her wish.

Wotcher stands slumped over as they appear in the clearing. Tulip is not only able to spot some nearby berries, but darting through the treetops reveals that they are, in fact, right next to Dahlia's mountain.

"You seem like the kind who'd know." Brigadier agrees, glancing over her shoulder at the warrior. "You have a wild mien about you."

A few moments after Tulip departs, a cry of "Yipee!" is heard, clearly from a merry petal, who soon returns with an armload of berries, smiling merrily.
"We're close! And there are yummy berries here too! We could eat some, and then visit Dahlia! Would you like some? There's lots!"
After she finishes her excited announcement, she starts munching on a berry, looking quite happy.

[Raunchel]

Shaisane looks up at the returning petal. "I would like a few yes. And if her mountain is right here, we should be able to get there quickly enough. And when we are there, we can hopefully take some steps towards retrieving Wotcher's memory. And perhaps uncovering who caused it."

Tulip smiles merrily, still munching on her delicious berry, and she flies over to Shaisane, clearly intending to let her take some of the berries she was carrying.

After a few moments, she finishes swallowing, and speaks up.
"If you'd like more, they're this way! Because you are lots bigger, you might need more?"
She darts off once more, clearly planning on leading the group to the berries.

"That might be helpful yes, we haven't packed any food, due to the little issue we had.", Shaisane says, following Tulip while keeping an eye on Wotcher.

Tulip continues to smile merrily as she responds.
"I'm sure we'll find more, later too! And we shouldn't take too many, so the birds have plenty too!"
Soon after, she arrives at the small bush(Green leaves, red berries), landing gently on one of the higher branches.
"We shouldn't take more than half, so there's plenty for other people! Only a quarter would be lots better!"

Shaisane takes a few, she never eats all that much, and also hands some to Wotcher: "Hre, you should have some too, it's good for your health."

Tulip resumes munching on her delicious berry, as she is quite hungry.

[PersonMan]

"A wild mien?" Dilaa asks, once again raising an eyebrow. "Are you saying I look like the type who travels through the wilderness, or that I look like I fight animals?"
