Devil's Deal IC 7: The Color of Garmine

[Raunchel]

"You can wear anything you like, of course. There are no special things you have to wear for such a thing."

[Hazuki]

"Yes. Dahlia has found a place for both in her garden, and I happen to hold the compensation she provided for your addition to her garden." Mithra says, as she pulls a small black bag from one of the drawers of her desks and pushes it over to Tulip. It's still too big for the Petal to carry, but it makes a pleasant sound. "I trust you're satisfied?"

"We just finished a session that helps to release my urge for physicality." Noble answers Dilaa. "It's strange to exert myself and walk out of it free of any sweat or exhaustion..." She comments, looking down at her spotless outfit with a frown.

"It was...interesting to watch." Sister Tine comments.

Wotcher sighs and looks down at the floor, before dragging herself up from her bed and walking to the cabinet, from which she grabs some loose stockings and pulls them on, along with some boots. She then turns to Shaisane and stares.

Tulip's smile grows as Mithra says that Dahlia had found a place for them. She'd take care of them! The extremely happy petal darts over, and hugs Mithra.
"Yaay! They'll be really happy there! Dahlia's really nice, and they'll love her!"
After a few moments, the incandescently happy petal ends the hug, remembering that Mithra doesn't really like being hugged.
"Thank you! And she gave me a present, too?"
With that, she takes a look into the bag, her movements energetically excited.

Shaisane nods, Wotcher's chosen clothes are a bit odd, but who is she to judge? It might very well be normal in this city. She extends her hand: "Shall we go then?"

[PersonMan]

Dilaa nods. "I can imagine it being somewhat disorienting," she says. "I'm going to be here until tomorrow morning, and was thinking it would be nice to speak to you again, see how things are going. Would that be good for you?"

[Hazuki]

Inside the bag, Tulip finds an assortment of colorful jewels in various cuts.

Wotcher meanders over to Shaisane and doesn't break her stare. "Where are we going?"

Noble looks over to Sister Tine, who nods.

"That would be nice." The muscular woman agrees. "Is there anything you want to do in particular?"

Tulip, who already seems to be about as happy as a petal can get, continues to smile merrily.
"Ooh! Rock flowers! They're really pretty, and sparkly! See!"
She starts lifting them out, one by one, to show Mithra, and to let them sparkle in the light.
"They're really hard to grow, but pretty!"

[Raunchel]

"We are going to look for a healer, preferably one who specializes in matters of the mind.", Shaisane said, hoping that it wouldn't be too difficult. She would hate to call on her parents for something like that, it would only make her look foolish.

[Hazuki]

Mithra nods at Tulip's enthusiastic display. "I'm pleased that you're pleased with them. Will that be all for today?" The mage asks.

"Alright." Wotcher says, still standing beside the elf.

Tulip smiles at Mithra once more, still holding one of the sparkly rock flowers, gleaming purple in the light.
"Maybe we can go exploring?"

[Raunchel]

"Shall we go then?", Shaisane asks the recalcitrant Wotcher. She takes a few steps, hoping that she will be followed.

[Hazuki]

"Me and you?" Mithra asks, raising a silver eyebrow at Tulip. And somehow managing to avoid getting an eyeful of refracted light.

Shaisane finds that she is, indeed, being followed by Wotcher. However unenthusiastically.

[Raunchel]

Slightly reinforced in her mind, Shaisane continues, into Garmine, to find a healer. She hopes that Wotcher becomes happier with everything, but she has no idea about how to do it.

Tulip smiles merrily at her, looking up from her admiration of the stone flowers.
"Maybe! Or we could find Dilaa, and maybe other people, who want to go exploring too! It'll be lots of fun for everyone!"

[PersonMan]

"I'm not sure - maybe see the place you're staying now?" Dilaa asks. "Or we could just have a walk while we talk about things," she suggests.

[Hazuki]

Shaisane finds that something about love has made her much more confident in her ability to get information from passers-by, and she's able to find out about three different healers in Garmine. One, by the name of Dew, a Drow who's apprenticed to one of the authority's guards but apparently has a sweet disposition. Another is Bandaid, a healer on a cargo ship that frequently comes to dock, called the Rum Runner. The third is a part-cat woman who runs a healer's near the bakery, an apparently devout woman named Rakuyo.

"I'm certain Dilaa has better...actually, nevermind." Mithra replies, thoughtfully drumming her fingers on the table. "Where are you planning to explore?"

"I'm at the inn." Noble answers, then makes a small gesture to signal Dilaa to follow her as she starts walking ahead. "You've been gone a while. What have you been doing?"

Tulip's smile continues to beam at Mithra.
"Somewhere new! Or maybe we could visit Dahlia!"

[PersonMan]

Dilaa follows Noble, and nods. "We went to the Shadow Marches. There were some developments we put a stop to, and we brought peace back to the region. While there we picked up a young half-orc, Lun, and she's staying with me," she explains. "The one we had to stop was her mother, but Lun had been abandoned by her."

[Raunchel]

Shaisane is surprised that her asking around yielded more than a stutter, but is glad that she has received a few suggestions. She decides to head to the Drow, of course, that won't be perfect, given the connections to the authority, but she believes that it might be easier to speak to a fellow elf.

[Hazuki]

"I doubt you'll find anything new in Garmine. It's been thoroughly explored by the people who live in it." Mithra replies. "And I think you'll find getting to Dahlia quickly will prove quite the task."

"You pick up a lot of people." Noble points out. "Is she safe and sound and all that?"

Shaisane soon manages to find the Drow, who's sharing an early morning tea with another elven woman - taller, more slender, and quite a bit more toned. At least, as far as can be seen through her outfit. The elf is blonde, with her hair tied into a tight bun, and has an elegant rapier at her hip. The Drow has thick, flowing white hair and pale blue skin. Curiously, she only looks away from the elf when she starts talking.

Tulip smiles at Mithra.
"We could go somewhere outside of Garmine! And we can explore merrily, until we reach Dahila! It'll be fun! We'll get there eventually!"

[PersonMan]

"We do tend to, true," Dilaa replies with a nod. "There are also Raize and Laysendre, two elves. All three of them are fine now, but...Mithra had to bring one of them back. From death. It was...quite a feat," she continues.

[Hazuki]

"And what of people that might want to find you?" Mithra asks the merry Petal. "Would they not be distressed by your sudden disappearance?"

"Mithra is good at magic." Noble nods in agreement. "I've never felt like I was about to die...but it must be frightening. Have you ever felt like that?"

[PersonMan]

"Several times, yes, and each time that feeling has helped me survive," Dilaa replies. "Now it's different, but when I was younger it was far stronger. It doesn't grip me the way it used to - before it was like a cold hand that held my heart in its fingers," she explains, brushing a hand over her chest.

[Archmage1]

Tulip shakes her head.
"They can come too! It'll be lots of fun! And we can tell everyone where we're going, so they know!"
She pauses for a moment, before she continues, less cheerfully.
"But... if you don't want to come, and have fun, that's ok."

[Raunchel]

Immediately Shaisane's shyness returns: "Ehm, excuse me?", she asks, "My friend over here, Wotcher, seems to have lost her memories. Could you, ehm, help her with retrieving it?", she blushes, she really should be between books, not between people.

[Hazuki]

Noble looks at Dilaa as she explains her relationship with death, then nods at the end. "It's different for me. When I was being...raised, it wasn't brought up. You fight, you fight well, and there's not another option. I've been told that I won't be able to die, even if I'm slain...but I don't know." She shrugs. "The worst part would be ending up back with her."

"You already traveled the main route to Dahlia, no?" Mithra asks, apparently brushing past what Tulip actually said. "Any other way would require intentionally deviating from the path."

The elf looks over at Shaisane as she speaks, and Dew follows suite. "What are you talking about?" The elf asks, eyes briefly flicking to the slightly-slumped Wotcher.

Tulip smiles merrily at Mithra.
"She's in a mountain, so we can come at it from a different direction! It'll be lots of fun, and we'll get to see it from a different way! And different flowers will be flowering too, so it should be even more fun!"

[PersonMan]

"Maybe Mithra or someone else knows?" Dilaa considers as Noble mentions what might happen if she's killed. "If she's a demon, you would only be sent there if you were wicked, from what I've been told. But since you aren't, you should be safe."

[Raunchel]

"Ehm", Shaisane starts with all of her confidence, "I, ehm, was told that I could, ehm, find a healer here. And I, ehm, thought that a healer might be able to, ehm, help with my friend's condition of not having her memory. But, ehm, maybe she, ehm, can explain it a little better herself."

She desperately wants to sink away into the ground, and feels sorely tempted to just teleport to any other place.
