I'm left-handed except for golf. I hear that's actually rather common among lefties who golf. Something about the dominant arm stabilizing the swing and the left side providing power being more consistent.

Hand-reversal is a fairly common phenomenon in cricket, too, which has a similar motion to golf (many cricketers are proficient golfers too). There, to simplify things a little, the top hand provides the power, and the bottom hand provides the direction. A right-handed player would normally bat with left hand on top and right hand below. However, many right-handed players prefer to switch to a left-handed posture, because they find the shot easier to control. That's particularly common now with bowlers, for whom right-hand power, left hand aim is to an extent the way they do things in their primary discipline. But even "proper batsmen" have taken that approach: perhaps most famously David Gower, who seemed to feel that, for a right-handed player, batting "left-handed" was simply the more natural way to do things. Modern players, unafraid of playing adventurous shots, are increasingly "ambidextrous" - Kevin Pietersen's controversial "switch-hit" being the most noteworthy example, where the player completely reverses their posture for a ball or two.

In my (albeit limited) cricketing experience, it makes some sense, and I have considered in the past reversing my own posture (permanently; I'm no Pietersen). As a natural right-hander, my instinct is to use that hand to provide both power and direction, meaning that rather than going at the ball with a straight bat I have a tendency to fish at anything outside my off-stump, and anything on middle or leg gets a cross-batted, bottom-handed horror shot that if it connects at all tends to pop straight up in the air for a fielder to take comfortably. Batting left-handed might curb these tendencies slightly and help return a bit of control. Or perhaps I'm just a rubbish batsman.

It helps (well, depending on who's using the spoon, some people can make an awful lot of scraping regardless of what they're using), but it isn't always enough.

Anyway we took a tour around the solar system seeing all the known planets up close. After the tour was over they take me back to my planet and they return to their planet. That was an inter-galactic confession right there.
