    Well it''s because:

    Spoiler: Dorohedoro spoilers
    Show
The devil's in the Dorohedoro universe were once human, and any mage powerful enough to be accepted as a devil basically gets fused into a powerful devil body. That "raggedy-ann" was the mage's original body before ascending to devil-hood, and becomes the core of the new body.

It gets odder, because the core can get out of the main body and walk around for short periods: as demonstrated by that very devil...who was the former wife of the doctor in that picture.
you even see another characters have devilhood stripped from him by literally tearing the devil-body away from the human core, leaving him damn near death.

TL:DR It's because Dorohedoro is a weird manga and it's all the better for it.
Can't write. Can't plan. Can draw a little.

The first one's the first act of Temple of Elemental Evil. The second one's apparently Vault of the Drow

There's quite a few, mostly of classic AD&D modules. I've seen them for Tomb of Horrors, Steading of the Frost Giant Chief, Castle Ravenloft, Expedition to the Barrier Peaks, and even The God that Crawls (which is an adventure for Lamentations of the Flame Princess). I think they're all on the Wizards.com site, though I don't know where specifically.

I found the artists name and that plus "D&D" on a quick google search turns up quite a few.

I'm still looking through them all.

That link doesn't work for me. Firefox declares it "unsecure" and refuses to display anything.

As for how many exist I don't know, but I have:
A1: The Slave Pits of the Undercity
D3: Vault of the Drow (from you, just now)
G1: Steading of the Hill Giant Chief (Part 1)
G1: Steading of the Hill Giant Chief (Part 2)
G2: Glacial Rift of the Frost Giant Jarl
    I6: Castle Ravenloft
    S1: Tomb of Horrors
    S2: Whiteplume Mountain
S3: Expedition to the Barrier Peaks
S4: The Lost Caverns of Tsojcath
    T1: The Town of Hommlet
    X1: The Isle of Dread
and The God That Crawls, which is set in some low-magic more historically medieval setting than classic D&D.

Some of them have surviving recurring characters that go from module to module (such as the fighter/magic user in Barrier Peaks who returns in Ravenloft), but I can't quite figure out the order.
I'll upload them to Imgur and post them all here a little later.

EDIT: Finally found the artist's page! http://mockman.com/
Along with two more un-numbered adventures:
    The Curse of Strahd
    Out of the Abyss
