Re: That's what you did?
[QUOTE=Mr White;2757571]
2) The attack/raid had to be done fast to avoid getting drown in to a prolongued fight the dwagons couldn't win without casaulties. This means that some siege units were probably left alone as the risk of being overwhelmed by units that come to help would be to big. (this argument may be untrue if a selective attack means that only the attacked unit/stack can defend itself which I doubt as archers were shown firing on the dwagons. Besides, what's the logic about aircover if it can be avoided so easily.)
QUOTE]
Well, if the same "8 per stack" rule holds for them, 1 Siege Tower, 2 Pushing Heavy Bears, and 5 units of Marbits/Archerbits, whatever = better than 50% surviving any selective attack, so it's a "Win" for every toasted tower.
Maybe ONLY the Marbits in the stack attacked can attack, the others can't unless you are dumb enough to end your turn next to them. (Sort of a Noob mistake...)"Sometimes you need to tame a dwagon, sometimes you just need to bust a nut."- Lord Stanley

Re: That's what you did?
You are absolutely correct as far as this goes. But the thing is, Wanda is not worried about Parson targeting Jillian, but the other way around. Ansom's turn is about to begin; Jillian will be flying back to the column, possibly at Wanda's instigation; she will probably run into Parson's forces massed there; and Jillian being the loose cannon that she is, she just might get herself obliterated by charging right into them. There is nothing Parson can do to prevent that; it's about to happen on Jillian's initiative. (Parson's Klog #6: Flying stacks with a commander may selectively engage non-fliers on their own turn.) The reason for the boop-up? A communications failure: Wanda did not correctly predict what Parson was about to do, and she carelessly failed to listen to his details. It's Wanda's negligence--but she is still unhappy, perhaps more so. OOPS!
I disagree--Stanley does not concern himself with tactical minutiae. See here: "...Strategy doesn't matter. Those are details. That's your job." This may be because he considers himself too important for details or, more likely, because he is incompetent at tactics and so pretends to be too important to deal with it. (How many bosses like that have you known? ) At any rate, Stanley is not likely to object to an underling doing his work for him, as long as Stanley reaps the rewards.

Re: That's what you did?
The plan for this turn calls for the raiding dwagons to fall back to base (i.e. behind the slower dwagons left behind to form a protective ring) after either all of them are too wounded to safely continue or all siege units within reach have been destroyed. Since Parson has already wiped out about fifty siege units, presumably this part of the plan has been completed. The dwagons will be nowhere in sight by the time Jillian could possibly return.
