    Kricen shakes his head. "I'm not charging in. Just getting the tree in sight in case whatever it is makes a move." With curiosity the human keeps his attention on the grumbling dwarf. "Heavy armor and shield, but no weapon? A fellow spellcaster?"

    When he sees at least one dwarf keeping clear he adds: "Aly here won't hurt you. She is fully under my control. And if we see any more skeletons or zombies, try not to kill smash them. Just give me time to take control."

As the others start shouting out at nothing in particular he turns and watches them as they peer toward something hiding further off. "What was it, a pixie or something? Was it Whitemarsh?"

    Something lands on the obelisk with a thump as Torlak turns to make his way back after rejecting the 'offer,' but more concerning is the chanting in Infernal. A pair of blobbly figures heave themselves around tree trunks in time to finish their spells. Two clouds of fog appear, surrounding Kricen, Torlak, and Khurdrum.

    Stinking cloud creates a bank of fog like that created by fog cloud (20% miss chance at 5’, total concealment & lack of visibility beyond 5’), except that the vapors are nauseating. Living creatures in the cloud become nauseated. This condition lasts as long as the creature is in the cloud and for 1d4+1 rounds after it leaves. (Roll separately for each nauseated character.) Any creature that succeeds on its save but remains in the cloud must continue to save each round on your turn.

    Kricen sees the demons appear from behind the trees. He goes to call out about them but he is engulfed by the poisonous cloud and chokes on it. He half moves half stumbles out of the fog to take cover at a nearby tree. Choking, he still tries to get word out. *BLEGH* "Dretches!" *cough cough* "Weak demons but hard to hurt." *cough* "Aly, go kill that one." He switches languages. "Who called you here?"

    The skeletal dinosaur follows orders. It charges, trying but failing to bite the small demon to the left.

    Khurdrum and Dos move close to the obelisk, with Dos trying to keep out of sight. Kricen moves east out of the cloud, while the dinosaur skeleton charges forwards, trying but failing to attack one of the dretches.

    Clear of the fog, Kricen was still heavily gagging from the fumes in his mouth and lungs. He saw the other dretch head in-between himself and the others. "Aly! Come back this way and kill the other small demon too!"

    While the skeletal dinosaur hurried back and to bite the other dretch, Kricen moves back towards the battle, hindered by having to stop and vomit along the way, but was able to reach his pet and the dretch. A black flash erupted from the human necromancer engulfing himself, the dretch, and part of the dinosaur. "You die here!" *cough*

    Torlak breathes fire on the dretch, doing a small amount of damage. Kricen moves close, radiating a terrifying power. The allosaur bites it, picking the dretch up and crunching on it and killing it.

    The creature stands. It looks around for a moment with a calculating glance, and Kricen is able to identify it as a Babau, a chaotic evil creature that secretes a powerful acid on its skin, and which often acts as an assassin or cunning ambush predator. It decides to duck away from Dos, heading south and around a tree. He slashes at it twice, scoring a very solid blow with his second attack.

    The Babau grinds out a word in infernal and vanishes. You hear something hit the ground beyond the north side of the clearing. Kricen is able to recognize the effect as a teleportation spell, which is a very risky maneuver here.

    You know that there was about a 1 in 3 chance of the Babau taking a large amount of damage from his attempt, even for such a short-range use of teleport. Long-range teleportation is even more risky.

    Kricen finally gets a good look at the demon as Aly picks it up in her jaws. "Huh. A Babau." His conclusion is confirmed when the slime eats away at the skeleton. "*COUGH* *Blegh* Yeah, resistant to physical and energies." The demon disappears out of Aly's jaws. ...and teleports? Aly, back that way!" Kricen holds on tight, not happy about all of the bouncing while his stomach was bouncing enough on its own.

If I don't see the demon while on the way we'll go around the west side of the tree at AR53 and keep going north. If there's a chance of attacking after a single move, Aly will bite.
