My best guess is that she basically just tried to shove her own soul into the baby. Also wow 100 years pregnant and not even a baby bump.

You're 100% right with Irene getting a redemption scene because this is Fairy Tail, but god if it won't be the dumbest damn thing in the world. So Erza's so broken because she's actually a dragon, I guess, just with the physique of a human.

This was a way better story when it was in Rave Master.

Actually a huge point of the chapter was that Erza is HUMAN and not a dragon in any way shape or form. In fact that's why her "mother" tried to shove her mind/soul into the baby.

Wendy is Ezra's...not even sure what she is. She's related by blood in some way. Stupid time travel. Wendy'll come out alright though because this is Fairy Tail and no one good can die but all the villains take one chapter to kill off no matter how strong. Man I hate this manga. It's almost over, that's the only solace.

They're on the "Kill Zeref" bit and the Dragon Festival is almost here. So yes. I'd say it's almost over. Also the "Natsu, you're dying" from the last chapter. Not that he'll die either. He'll become the Demon Dragon Slayer or something asspully.

Natsu is dying because he is dragon and demon and human, I guess. Also, I'm totally convinced he will die.... No way to stop that.

What makes you think Wendy is related? I could be totally wrong but I just read it as "ah, another enchantress, she probably fits me much better! Body swap! " or whatever Ginyu's technique was called.

So Erza IS a dragon slayer she just hasn't learned her dragon slaying magic, just focused on wearing fetish-y bunny rabbit armour instead. Sigh. Also, Wendy's mother was her dragon, and I guess it's implied every other dragon slayer dragon was ALSO their parent. Huh.

And Wendy fills Erza with the power of deus eques. In english, that's two eques. Wendy does some nonsense and Erza slices her mother in half, but not before she...shoves her soul into Wendy somehow. And now Wendy has Irene inside of her.

This is another "man this'd be a really starting and dramatic situation! IF this wasn't Fairy Tail" situation. Irene Belsarian, one of the legit, 100%, strongest wizards in all the world, second only to August...dead in effectively one shot. But now she's taken over Wendy's body somehow oooh spooky.

I really hope that the way this ends is how the old dragon king war went. In the end, both sides where beaten and broken. The cruel irony: the only winner was Acnologia.

My reasoning for saying she's a Slayer is that, according to Wendy and what Natsu's dragon dad says in this chapter, all the dragon slayer's parents where dragons who gave birth to them/conceived them while infected with being a dragon, thus giving them that dragon seed.

To be fair, this is just MY ASSUMPTION based on what was said in universe.

Im a bit confused about what you build this theory upon though?

I mean, we saw from Irene that a normal human can indeed be taught DS magic. And we have also seen that regular humans who learn DS magic will turn into dragons on their own unles treated in some way. So there is no need for any of them to have been given the dragon seed by their dragon parents.

We also straight up got Natsu, who we know does not really have any parents at all besides Zeref, being one of his demons. So you are not certain you just read a bad and confusion translation?

Its where the entire E.N.D. comes from. Etherious Natsu Dragonel. Where the Etherious indicates a magical body like that of his demons.

Yes. But as a result of Zeref experimenting on his brother... Or his brother's corpse. Or something. Not as Natsu being entirely his creation. Natsu being Zeref's brother has been mentioned multiple times, so they also share the same parents. Heck, Natsu remembered them in 510.

It does seem to be suffering from large amounts of not knowing how to resolve issues, and post release editing. So I'd call this a major case of massively deteriorating Weekly Jump-itis. Hiro just isn't one of those writers who can sustain a weekly output (then again that is a monumentally high bar) and maintain some semblance of a sane/consistent plot.
