    Grassis follow ups behind the construct as best he can. He finds his way and vision blocked but was thankful the mad sheep was there to grab any unwanted attention. He imagined it wouldn't be around much longer so he prepared himself in case he needed to fight or run.

    Round 9, Part 1

    The astral construct advances into the cave, not having any targets. The cave widens, and Grassis emerges behind it into a larger room. Only a bit of light comes in from the outside, as the cave mouth faces north, but Grassis also has darkvision, and can thus see. A very realistic statue of a human is to his left (east), and a halfling is ahead and to his right. The construct stands in the middle of the room. A passage leads off to the east, and another to the right.

    Rex takes no action.


    Round 9, Part 2

    The construct perceives something entering the range of its darkvision in the western tunnel, and Grassis hears footfalls on the stone floor.

    The Astral Construct vanishes as the psionic energies sustaining it run dry.

    The creature advances. It’s just barely over 30’ away from Grassis, but it doesn’t seem to realize he’s there at all.

    "I'll have it keep going and see if it stirs up trouble." Joas moves to the center of the room so he can see down the western passage. The construct pulls the dead lizard out and moves it just out of the way with the head facing the wall. It then squeezes down the corridor to the first intersection with directions to point if it sees something to attack.

    The construct moves through the tunnel slowly, having to squeeze itself down and cramped in its movements. It finds no opposition, and stops when it reaches an intersecting tunnel, dimly lit by another exit to the north.

    The construct proceeds to the next intersection to the west and stops. It's a T intersection, with sunlight from the north. You don't know what's on the south, as the construct is in the way.

    Joas knows his construct has less than half a minute left before it dissipates.

    Joas heads down the tunnel to follow the construct and Rex. As he passes each side passage he uses his psionic sight to quickly peer down each one before moving on. He instructs the construct to keep watch where it is and to do a simple jump if it sees anything moving or alive to the left or right (north or south).

    The group cautiously proceeds down the south tunnel, which opens up into another cavern, one where all of the stalagmites seem to have been destroyed, leaving the floor open and flat. Four centaur statues in relaxed poses occupy a semicircle near the an opening in the southeastern corner of the room. That opening appears to also lead up and to the outside. Perhaps they were caught by surprise while resting?

    Doubling back, you go through the first room (the one with the human and the halfling statues), and down the eastern tunnel. A fork branches off to the north a ways. Continuing east, you find a small room with a petrified gnoll in it, and also another branch path that leads outside.

    As you head up the fork to the north, you hear movement ahead as the tunnel slopes uphill...
