Things are winding down, and there is a crap-ton of complicated plot to read up on.

However, since we've suffered some critical losses to our playerbase lately, I don't think it would be a bad idea to get one or two people to join. Just know that the plot is in its last stages and you're going to have pretty much zero time for character development...

OK, so... I probably need to make a new "story so far" post, but that's a good place to start.

Right now, we have a bunch of kids from the mortal world in Soul Society, trying to help a friend of theirs.

The Commander-General is under investigation from the Royal Guard because one of their number came down to Soul Society and raised some unholy hell, which resulted in a clash with said Commander-General.

Soul Society has faced a huge upheaval as it was pretty much uprooted from its location and tossed around onto Earth, then orbit, then a pocket in space-time away from anything during the havoc caused by said Royal Guard member.

There's also a possible conspiracy allegedly going on involving the possibility of the Soul King having been replaced, though there's no evidence that's happened and the Royal Guard has pointed out it's very unlikely.

EDIT: We could probably use someone in a more leadership position in the Medicine and Logistics division, or as an aide to the Commander-General, Heavens know he could use someone to help with all the paperwork that clashing with the Royal Guard entails.

Not... exactly.

Here's the thing: it's really weird for someone of Captain level to simply pop up right now. As is, Soul Society has lost a LOT of contingent. With the exception of maybe one or two characters, pretty much every Captain has achieved Bankai in-game, and there aren't exactly a whole lot of events left for the finale. So while your character is free to apply for the position, he'll need a hell of an explanation as to how he/she got Bankai and where was he/she hiding all this time.

As for weird curses/ghost clans, pretty much depends on what you have in mind.

I'd note in terms of debris analysis that Las Noches literally just obtained the loyalty of someone whose power is defined as communicating with the souls of innanimate objects like, ten minutes tops before the Shinigami got there.

If there's anything special, Sarah can point it out.

1. Maintaining the strength of the city expressly overrides any other law. If you can successfully justify an action as such to your immediate superior, then you didn't break the law.

2. Strength is the law of the city. If you can force someone to do something, then that is the law.

The law of Hueco Mundo is not unbiased. It is not an institution that exists to bring everyone to a state of equality, or to hold everyone equally accountable. It was not created as an institution of inherent worth. It is a framework to help the weak avoid angering their betters.

Though all in all that is the nature of a society. Those who reach upper echelons typically wield better influence over its structures than those who don't, especially when those very same structures allowed them to climb the ranks in the first place.

It just so happens that the structure in Las Noches revolves a lot over who has the bigger stick. From my understanding of it, it is stupid to bully the weak - as it weakens the city as a whole - and it is stupid to annoy the strong (who overall have better things to do).

Times like these I miss playing Rouga. He always threw such a wrench on those structures.

It sucks, but it makes sense: Life's about the strong feeding on the weak, and if you're lucky the number of people you can trust have your back can be counted on one hand.

The fact that Fullbringers passively gain small but continuous boosts of power and that as a living Human if she puts in the effort she can multiply her own power a couple of times over in just a few months compared to the decades it takes a dead soul to gain comparable power means that in ten years or so she'll be the strongest person in the city and can do whatever the hell she wants might be the other reason.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Honestly, I was hoping to get Shinji to talk to Rin for a little while. And/or maybe have Setsurou talk to Jehoel.

I've seen it many times but I don't quite understand it and google doesn't help very much.

It's from The Matrix.

The protagonist goes to talk to the oracle, and in the room before there are other potential candidates for being "the One". One of them is a kid who's apparently manipulating a spoon to bend freely with his mind.

The thing is, he's not really bending a spoon. He's manipulating code in an illusion. When he says "there is no spoon", he basically means "see past the illusion". Once he does that, he's able to change how the illusion works.

Sarah's powerset can essentially do that.

EDIT: Would it help if she pictured Yoda lifting Luke's X-Wing out of the swamp instead?
