Technically not a bastard now that Lilith and Sir Lucifer are married, though it was a close call. The baby's happily sucking teat, uncaring of his parents' argument.

for a moment he managed to think of someone beside himself, looking at the baby. He tickled his belly with a chuckle.
"Well handsome little knight like you, deserve the best there is- Martin!"

The newly named Martin the younger grins and lets out a little chuckle when his father tickles him. Lilith nods approvingly. "Yes. That is a fine first name. For the second name... maybe something from my family line? But - ah! This is an occasion for celebration! We must begin arranging a name-giving party at once!" With one arm holding Martin the younger, Lilith grabs Martin senior with her other and starts dragging him inside the house. "Come! We must rearrange the living room furniture! And the kitchen table too! And hire additional made servants! So much to do, so little time!"

The Greatest Space Battle in the Universe

It is fortunate Starlight teleported when he did, as in his rage, Hailing charged a massive ball of energy in his remaining hand, a large globe of black and white energy. Hailing only noticed the teleportation after he had charged up his attack. As far as he was concerned, she had teleported to escape. He should expect her back at any moment.

He then glanced backwards, and saw a certain Incirrian still being carried back. He didn't say anything, even if he could, in space. Nothing matters. This battle ends NOW. Aiding himself with his telekinesis, he flew after Apfel, and faster than he could react, he threw his energy wave at the Incirrian, sending him flying towards the planet. Apfel only had enough time to raise a Royal Shield to block, but that didn't stop him from being knocked back. He couldn't escape, he could only steer his trajectory. Starlight! He could sense her energy, it was faint and fading, but he could save her! Yes, being carried by an intergalactic tyrant's energy wave wasn't exactly 'safe' but she might be able to survive. She might. Compared to fading away in the void of space for all eternity, where she WILL die.

Apfel followed her energy, steering his trajectory hard before he was able to locate her, and grab the pony in his arm, the other arm forced on maintaining the Royal Shield that was keeping him, and now Starlight alive.

They landed back on Alchior. Hard. Hundreds of miles from Android 23, but on the horizon, they could see a column of black and white energy digging hard into the planet before detonating. A blast resonated across the whole world, kicking up continents' worth of dust and debris into the sky, fracturing the barren world. The cracks across the world's crust visible from space, but the planet remained intact. Barely.

Apfel and Starlight were at the bottom of a deep half-mile crater in the ground. Apfel was heavily damaged from Hailing's attack, being flung into the atmosphere, and striking the ground, hard. He had lost his Awakened form, but he was alive. More importantly, he could breathe again. Right! The senzu bean! He wasn't going to be fighting Hailing any time soon, but Starlight appeared to be in critical condition. Unfortunately when he reached for it, he found that it had burnt away in their atmospheric re-entry. This was bad. More likely than not, Hailing would attempt to destroy the planet soon. The best he could hope for was to wait, cover them both with his Royal Shield Plalanx, and hope that Starlight would recover well enough to heal herself, then teleport them to safety. Maybe to hide out somewhere where they could plot a counterattack.

But it was up to 23 now.


The Greatest Android in the Universe

Damage taken would reduce a fighter's power for very practical reasons. Bruising, soreness, injury, all of it would accumulate, making it harder to simply move let alone throw a continent-shattering punch. Though Hailing had been stabbed, sliced, hit, and dismembered, pain was pleasure to the ruling masochist. His power had only dropped somewhat.

He flew back towards Alchior furiously. He was going to end this NOW. Searching his surroundings, he spotted the android and the Majin Buu looking creature fighting. He was pretty sure the creature wasn't one of his, but he didn't care. Briefly, he did consider simply detonating the planet and leaving them drifting in the void, or telekinetically throwing the planet into the system's star, but he didn't want to risk giving the beep-boops a power up.

As if to demonstrate his point to Masala, Hailing would swoop down wordlessly, swinging a kick at the Majin, hard. Very hard. His other leg, still holding on to his dismembered hand.

Stop me if you've heard this one before...

He only spared 23 a glance before following through, the momentum of his kick sending his tail slamming into 23.

Die.

Hyperbolic Time Chamber

Over the course of several weeks, from inside the chamber's perspective, Max will learn that a concussive body isn't the full extent of Baron Freis' techniques. He also knows several ki attacks that appear like weak ki attacks, glowing transparent orbs and an energy wave. They were, however, extremely loud techniques. It isn't raw power that makes them dangerous, but their effects on the target. The nature of his attacks are that for a brief moment, the object is struck at its resonant frequency, causing the target to tear itself apart. As with all ki attacks, targets stronger than the attacker are able to more easily resist, but Freis has noted the longer a target is exposed to his attacks continuously, then there is no upper limit to the amount of damage he could do to them, theoretically being enough to tear apart stars, Hailing, or even Beerus. Assuming Beerus is kind enough to stand inside his energy wave for hours. Even days. Weeks? Point is, he'd eventually die.

He took to controlling his energy quite quickly, as Max had pointed out. Freis, in turn, instructed Max on using Ki Resonance. It only took him a week to be able to use Multiform. By simply observing, Asalute had also figured it out. He had long since mastered controlling ki at the microscopic level, so it came very easily to him, however with a deviation. He was in full control of both forms, receiving sensory input from the other body and controlling it like a hive-mind.

Martin Jr's Celebration

Lucifer wasn't pleased that his victory was pushed to second place after a baby.
But he tried to push himself up as the center of attention, by adding "Victor" as second name, in memory of his gloriouse victory!
Servants were hired, food was made, and a banquet was ready in few hours. At the gardens, to give room to more guests and dancing. Some guests, still recalled Lucifer's voice after using the Silver Horn of Gaaled.

A shadowy character aporached the banquet silently.
This dog deserved more severe punishment than his mere death.
He will make the people to realize the truth.

Android 23, Then And Now.
Android 23 sees Hailing just in time, yelling out for a single moment:
"YOU WILL NOT HURT MY CHILD!"
She dives in the way of Hailing's kick to shield Masala, acting without thinking, and the attack sends them both flying into the atmosphere, Android 23 sporting massive cracks and wounds from where the kick impacted her, entire limbs with skin flayed off exposing the metal and wiring underneath from the atmospheric friction burning it away, clothes torn ragged, even half her face torn off to expose the metal skeleton underneath, the left eye broken and dark as well. They float in the upper atmosphere for a few moments, 23 wincing in pain at the slightest movement, caught in a daze from taking the brunt of the attack.
“Mom? Mom?” Masala says, her face worried as she tries to shake her a little to get her out of her stupor
“Are you okay? Mom? Get up! Please be ok....”
23's remaining good eye looks at Masala and with agonizing movement she looks at her.
“Masala....” 23 says, extending her hand to her.
“Mom! Are you alright!?” she says more urgently.
As 23 looks at Masala she realizes that there wasn't a scratch on the Majin. Good. She was okay. She was.......happy with that. Happier than she had ever been actually.
“I'm just......glad......your alright.” 23 says as if in realization. Then 23 remembers, her memories drifting back to the start of when she entered this timeline. Before all this happened. She remembered who she was. She remembered that she was traumatized of Majin Buu. She was paranoid of everyone around her. She remembered having nothing. She remembered that she had gotten into this for her selfish need to survive and to protect 22. She remembered manipulating people to some greater good because of her own selfish need to live a good life for herself and her lover.

But.....now? She didn't feel that way anymore. How could she be scared of Masala? How could distrust her friends? How could she say she was selfish when she went to such great lengths to protect others? She was not the same person she was any more. The people she met....the people she connected with....they all made her grow. Growth does not happen in a vacuum. It was through connections with other people that you change and become better, a little bit, over time. The changes are never obvious, not until you look back in retrospect. But then you do and you realize that you have become something else. In that moment, she realized she was no longer the broken being she thought she always was. She was something more. Would the same 23 then have done what she just did now? She didn't know, and she didn't care.

In that moment the most heartfelt laughter is heard all across the planet as a sudden light shines from 23 out of nowhere, and the spirit bomb suddenly seems to split into a bunch of little hearts and get sucked towards 23, blinding everyone across the planet and the screens for a moment...

Everyone turning in with ki senses can feel an immense new power rising out of nowhere, Tarasai suddenly looking up wide eyed as he senses a second power equal to Hailing flare up, Shanakan whispers, his eyes glowing as the moment sends ripples through fate.
"....Final Tarot.....The World...."

The Greatest Transformation In The Universe
When the light fades, Android 23 is floating there with her back to Hailing, in a purple robe with white sleeves and high collar, fully healed. Her hair was spikier, the spikes going out to the sides rather than straight up. She opens and closes her palms a few times to test them out in silence. All storms had suddenly ended. It was completely quiet and peaceful, her power oddly making everything fall still and peaceful rather than destructively raging out of control. Her power was now 300 million, her power up combined with the Spirit bomb, the big ball now gone.

“Finally.

I was getting so tired of being a number.

Hailing? Are you there?

It's me.

Your worst enemy.-”
She suddenly turns around with a smile on her face, her next words blazing into reality with rainbow colors as she names herself:
“Jade Refera”

Then she begins to sing, a rainbow light shining from her, a prismatic shockwave radiates out from Jade like a tidal wave as she launches into the song, turning the entire sky rainbow colored and filled with five-pointed stars as she joins the fight, rainbow after-images trailing behind her, her song resounding and flowing through everyone that hears it with resonating quality as if she were singing to all the galaxy:
"NOOOW HOOOOLD OOOOOON
to the dreams you created
For a happy life
It's alright, all the things we sought for so long
Will all be worth this fight!

I will not
Terminate you
I control powers new
A promise I'll see through!

Your progress, your empire
Will be reset,
We'll remake it all over,
Hailing, you won't forget!”

Chaos Sabers suddenly appear in Jade's hands as she calls out: "Chaos Sabers!" and she seems to fluidly and furiously attack with the crazy white swords at blurring speeds, launching slice after slice, leaving rainbow trails with every movement, and every so often the fluid silky way she moves is punctured by sudden confusing side steps and flourishes of the blades, the Sabers moving and weaving like liquid while the trailing rainbow after images overlap with its strange circular, twirling movements, the constant flux between smooth curving movements and sudden sharp reversals of direction and erratic attacks combining into a deadly chaotic offensive.

Masala cannot believe what her eyes are seeing. She is just staring at this with a big smile on her face. 22 confused and being awakened, her eyes begin to flutter open from the commotion, not sure what she is seeing.

Meanwhile heart shaped scrying windows had opened up to all the worlds that had responded to the spirit bomb and donated, providing them a view of the fight if the cameras had been destroyed, including providing a view for Earth on the Lookout.

Just what in the world is happening here and why is everything suddenly rainbows? There is just too many rainbows here. Rainbows in the sky, rainbows on the ground, just rainbows everywhere you can see. Its ridiculous how many rainbows there are. There are so many rainbows, even this sentence.

[Hyperbolic Time Chamber]

While hearing the explanation for Ki Resonance, Max had a moment where he just responded with, "Oh." and seemed to stare off for a few moments. But then his attention resumed and nothing seemed to come of it. While teaching the multi-form, he had another moment like that, his body continuing to move without his attention to parry and dodge before his wandering attention came back around.

In fact, he seemed to have a few more of these moments as he continued training with Fries, whether the others noticed them or not. The splits he had working off on their own had also seemed to change up what they were doing entirely. They weren't focused on sparring with one another anymore, instead they seemed to be meditating and practicing something with their ki.

Regardless, with the multiform learned, Max proceeded from there to work with Fries on mastering his Ki Control. Utilizing exercises that were sometimes roundabout to help Fries to stretch and refine his control of his ki, so that he could vary his power level within it's limits. And after however long that took, it would be a short process for Max to show him the trick to modify the Multiform so that he could put however much energy he wanted into his splits, instead of evenly dividing them.

As for Max, learning the Ki Resonance technique came fairly quickly. While he was training Fries in the Multi-Form, he had a pair of his splits head off and away from the others to practice with the technique in relative safety. Well, safe for everyone else at least. There was at least one point while his splits were out of sight where everyone could hear a resonating primal yell of ki as one of Max's splits did something out there, shaking the ground for a minute before it suddenly stopped. The Max still training with Fries then perked up a bit and cleared his throat, "Ha....sorry about that, blew myself up there."

[Naming Ceremony of Lucifer's son]

A huge number of people arrive at the naming ceremony of Martin Victor, most of them attracted by his father's great (if questionable) reputation. At first, Lilith is furious at Sir Lucifer stealing all the attentiln, but it evens out when many of the women who came to the party start making envious comments of her and her baby.

"Can you believe it? That woman was lucky enough to be married to magnificent Sir Lucifer! And now she has borne such a cute child for him!"

"I wonder, will that baby grow up to be as mighty as his father?"

"Certainly! How could someone with Sir Lucifer's magnificent blood not become grear?"

"Oh how I wish *I* was his wife so *I* could have such a cute son!"

Needless to say, such comments make Lilith beam with validation.

Martin Victor himself is completely oblivious to childishness and ridiculousness of the adults surrounding him. He is taking a nap.

Calcifer the Second's head snaps towards the heart-shaped window.showing the battle against Hailing. "Oh my. Do you think this will cause, ah, a diplomatic incident with the Arcosians over here?", he asks of Tarasai.

Ronlad Shindane frowned, he gotten up.
"Lucifer the thief! I warn you- bring me back, my horn, or I'll kill more than your worthless body!"

Lucifer blinked. "What?"
"Don't play dumb. Do you really want me to show your true face to everyone here?"

Lucifer turned pale.

The Greatest Final Battle in the Universe

Hailing thought he had finished the battle. It was done, she would drift off into the void, and probably be sucked into the sun's gravity-well, atomized. He watched the pair fly off into the exosphere for a moment before realizing he needed to finish up. Extending his remaining hand, he began to pour his telekinesis on to the world, intent on disintegrating it, telekinetically ripping apart the entire planet at the molecular level. Then he heard laughter. Not a maniacal laughter, but a gentle chortle. He immediately knew what it meant: The battle wasn't over yet.

He charged his black and white aura in anticipation, trying to get his power back up to maximum. He was quite distracted though. He wasn't at 100%, he was down one hand.

Sure enough, 23 returned, radiant with prismatic energy that pushed back against his telekinetic storms, filling the sky with scintillating waves of kaleidoscopic light. However the Emperor didn't notice. So focused was he on his opponent. 23. Jade. What ever she chooses to call herself today. She dies today, or he will die trying.

Hailing's arms began to glow with white and black electricity as he swerved and vaulted around the android's Chaos Sabers, only to be caught off-guard as she sharply turned and created a gash in his leg.

He then began his counterattack, extended his tail behind him, which arced around and drove straight for the android. However it wasn't a direct attack, as directly in front of it, a telekinetic lance shot out, all the while Hailing swung telekinetic sledges at the android.

Freis found that the multiform actually augmented his ki resonance. If multiple versions of himself helped contribute to the same attack, such as his Sonic Lance, the attack is significantly more powerful. Max would be made aware of this. Freis theorized the same would be true if he and Max made a combined attack as well.

Oh my. Freis gasped in alarm when the source of the sudden earthquake became known. Is the whole you going to be affected by this?

He then began his counterattack, extended his tail behind him, which arced around and drove straight for the android. The Greatest Lightning In The Universe
Jade seems to sense the ki within the telekinetic weaponry and suddenly speeds backwards away, avoiding the sledges entirely while swinging with her chaos sabers to suddenly split them into ki blast shaped like stars that run into the lance and blow it up, the telekinetic weaponry hitting only her rainbow after-images. She shrugs while winking at Hailing with a smile, shaking her head, her voice having a strange reverb effect.
"Oh Hailing, Hailing Hailing. Of course you wouldn't get this reference. You never played this route. I am however disappointed in you. Your a gamer, yet you never went back and tried a different path just for the hell of it? Ironic, considering you left alone the one game I know of in all of existence that encourages you to never play again if you do the best ending, on its worst one. But hey, whatever. It all means nothing to you doesn't it, so why bother?

You like lightning, Hailing? Let me show you mine: Shocker Breaker!"
She raises her hands and multicolored rainbow lightning shoots out from her hands from left to right then right to left, then two big ones from both hands then three more left right and middle, then shooting a bunch of lightning that follows Hailing with each shot one after another, while Jade sings out:

"The best part? I know she'll stand again,
Then you'll lose to me finally
Stand again, over and over,
That's what she'll do for her girl friend,

'Cause she wants a happy ending.
She loves her friends, who could blame her?
She's filled with determination,

She flies up and fires a Wide Blast at Hailing, still only 60 million PL but something is strange is glowing within her.

Future Trunks doesn't believe what he is seeing.
"What!? Why is she singing!? Why is she rubbing this unimportant nonsense in his face!? What is with all these rainbows!? I thought she was a pragmatic fighter! When she start becoming so over the top and flashy!? This form is seems to be nothing but flashiness! There is nothing subtle about any of this!"
"Is it really any more ridiculous than Goku holding himself back for no reason?" A time patroller asks
"Or Freeza taking the time to be needlessly cruel instead of just killing people?" Another one says
"Or anyone yelling and screaming while they power up during battle and everyone waiting for them to finish?" a third points out
"Or your father trash-talking the enemy while bragging about his own awesomeness and letting his foes get more powerful so he can have a better fight?" the last one says.
Trunks just sighs and smacks himself in the face. ".....No."
Chronoa just watches along happily.
"Well I'm fine with it, guess every great fighter has some kind eccentricity to them!"

"Or your father trash-talking the enemy while bragging about his own awesomeness and letting his foes get more powerful so he can have a better fight?" the last one says.

Trunks just sighs and smacks himself in the face. ".....No."

Chronoa just watches along happily.

"Well I'm fine with it, guess every great fighter has some kind eccentricity to them!"

The Doctor, who just happened to be visiting on official time business, turned to respond.

"It actually is somewhat pragmatic," he remarked. "It helps her form a greater bond with the character she is emulating, hence allowing her to draw more power from her cosplay by 'getting into character'." He munched on some jelly fillies, watching the fight unfold.

"Ah, no. Even if splits are fatally wounded, they don't transfer injuries back to the main body. Depending on how much of their power level or stamina was left though, it can certainly wind up making you winded, fatigued, and so on. Very useful for testing out dangerous to learn techniques though."

What Max refrained from mentioning was that he had made extensive use of the split form while learning the Instant Transmission. In no small part because the person teaching him was a natural ki user and had little to no concept of how to properly teach someone, and instead kept trying to make him 'just do it' without explaining much of anything beyond demonstrating the technique a few times. In the end, while he had learned the original, he wound up feeling safer with the version he came up with that didn't involve turning his entire body into energy and hurling it into an alternate dimension to move faster than fast.

Instead, he cleared his throat and motioned for Freis to continue. From that day on, he would occasionally lose a split or two in similar circumstances, as some of what he was working on just required trial and error after a certain point.

Suffice to say, this left him open when 22 recovered enough to blast him with her Wide Blast. It didn't do much damage, but it did hit.

Freis tilted his head in confusion. 'Dangerous techniques?'

I dare say the threshold for 'dangerous' is relative, mmnyes. A leisurely stroll through an exosphere is surely an exercise in suicide for most others. Though the iconic Arcosian Carrier is sealed against the vacuum of space, its white roof is a stylistic decision. The earliest models featured no roofs whatsoever as its passengers were all immune to the effects of space anyhow. Rather, the carrier was modified by persons unknown to protect against the hazards of space, and the design of the white roof stuck.

Freis would refine his Ki Resonance, combining it with other moves in strange ways. For one thing, he found he could increase the amplitude of the resonance to incredible degrees. At the cost of frequency, but that was actually helpful to what he was working on. At the right amplitude, he could resonate through space and, in a brief moment, shift the location of space itself to instantaneously transport Freis to where ever he wished. His own version of Instant Transmission, disappearing in a ripple and reappearing with a boom that sounded strangely like a deep horn. Rather than making himself into a form of living energy that could move faster than light, he created a portal around himself. However, this also had the effect of allowing him to portal things and people to him. The limitation was the range, and accuracy. He could move through solid objects doing this, possibly including planets, but unless he knew exactly where he was going, he was jumping blind. Similarly, without an obvious medium such as at atmosphere or solid objects, Freis was limited to creating portals to things within his line-of-sight, even if he could sense his destination.

Fries attempted to figure out how to weaponize these portals. He was successful, but the results were so horrifying that Fries vowed to never use that attack unless absolutely necessary.

Jade matches the attack point for point, her rainbow trailed movement creating beautiful lines of color as she just as smoothly dances around the sledges or smacks them away, with one getting through and dealing damage just as minor. She is still smiling
"Lets talk about you. Yeah, yeah, legend whatever. Me, I prefer someone more indie. In fact you could say he is pretty underground. Y'know. Because he is that guy you killed. Father of Ieez and Artic? Name was Slushya? Lets honor his memory. I can't do his signature attack, that'd be stealing but I can do something similar: STAR BLAZING!"
She raises her hands again and out shoots various big five pointed stars at Hailing that when they impact something burst out into various smaller stars that scatter everywhere, criss-crossing each other as they fly about, stars flying unpredictably at him from all directions until one big star came down and exploded into a solid sphere of little stars radiating outwards in all directions, while Jade continues singing:

She glows again, her Red Heart Sailor cosplay resonating with the song as she compliments the attack by firing a red Hellzone Grenade at Hailing. Everyone kept thinking of her as the sidekick, the unimportant one compared to Jade. That somehow she wasn't as important. But she will prove them wrong.

New Plant
Meanwhile Vati was cheering her on through the scrying window
"Go! go you crazy cyborg! Punch that stupid Emperor in the face for me will ya!?"
He was sad that he wouldn't get to do it himself, but at least he could watch someone else do it.
"Hey, Vati" a former Burnout says to him. "Did you also get some weird rainbow thing when you were trying to fight him?" Vati in response strikes a signature pose.
"True. But mine was false. I did not earn the power. But I see 23- no....Jade.
She is wielding it truly. I was only ever a mere shadow in comparison."

Meanwhile Young Vegeta the Seventh looked upon this battle with his father, his mind working over time to process what is occurring. He whispers to himself:
"I cannot believe it......this transformation....these transformations....could they be the key to......the Super Saiyan!?"
Something had been planted, inspired in his mind. What he was seeing was changing his life forever.

Lucifer turned pale.

Hyperbolic Time Chamber

As time passed, Max resumed training with Yankar at some point, if only to remain within the same ballpark as the other human to continue being a good sparring partner with him. He also seemed to relax a lot, continuing to help Freis with sparring and ki control.

With about half their time left in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Max revealed a cake he'd had one of his splits whip up to mark the occasion. And finally asked Asalute a question he'd been pondering since before they entered the chamber, "Would you like to learn the Healing Waves technique, what I used to heal that congenital issue your body had?" He was kind of expecting Yankar to chew him out for that one, but if he didn't at least offer, well, how would he be being true to himself?

The party-goers fall silent. They stare, dumbfounded, at Ronlad, then at Sir Lucifer. Lilith is wide-eyed of shock at first, but then her expression turns into anger. She walks up to her husband, fuming. "Thief? Okay, what have you done this time?" If he doesn't dodge, she will smack him around the head. "On a second thought, I don't want to hear it! Just go and kick this loser out!"

Lucifer held his head, moaning with pain "Hey, not in my oerfect hair!" he whined.

"Ma'am, your husband, is a weakling, coward, lier and fool. Do not force me to turn you into a widow. I just want the Horn Of Jerico.

Lucifer growled, and sent his to draw his sword- but unnaturally accurate short snapped his belt, dropping his swords and pants, exposing boxer with chibi lucifer pattern.
Lucifer gasped in fear.
Ronlad said with a hiss. 'Shoul I comtinue?'

All the party-goers gasp in shock as the gun is fired. How can this be? Some madman with a gun is threatening their hero, on the name-giving day of his son, no less! Everybody stares at the gunman in horror, and then...

.. the dramatic silence is broken by the sound of a baby giggling. Martin Victor is beaming on Lilith's lap, switching between clapping his little hands and pointing at Ronlad's gun. It is apparently the most hilarious thing the little guy has ever seen.

The Shenron

Artic was absent from the battle, at least not completely. Rather, it was different, yet equally important. Keep the battle broadcasted across the universe. SpaceTube, Spacebook, Space Twitter, Space Periscope, anywhere where he could broadcast, he could, even hijacking unused frequencies at will. His cerebral plug enabled him to not only control it with mere thought, but defeat all attempts at blocking or hijacking his signal with the power of his mind. There were many hackers in the universe, but very few could compete against the speed of thought.

Suffice to say, there was no corner of the known universe, within and without the Empire, that wasn't able to watch the battle. Once word spread of its beginning, the entire universe tuned in. News stations played the battle live, and to say it was trending on Space Twitter is a massive understatement. In fact, it's the single most talked-about topic in the social media titan's history.

Cirra

The Incirrians did not fare well under Imperial rule. While the local economy was stable, it was also stagnant. Imperial bureaucracy weighed down business and entrepeneurship, making it difficult for the average citizen to find work, let alone start a business. Those that even had the privilege of being able to look for work were the lucky ones. The Empire was not kind to any species of native ki-users, who would forcibly conscript the young into the Empire's auxillary corps, to go fight in some war a dozen galaxies away, the majority never to see Cirra again, if they weren't press-ganged into Imperial factories or labor camps to support the war effort on trumped-up criminal charges to justify enslaving them.

Lord Apfel was not popular on Cirra, to say the least. The knowledge of his murder of the old King and selling Cirra out to the Empire is well-known. In their minds, he's just as bad as Hailing. The only thing that has stopped popular uprising is fear. Though Apfel was hated, his insane power was also known, and the kind of damage an Annihilation-grade Ki User could inflict was no secret. Instead, his name became a by-word for a quisling power-grabber, both in the Incirrian tongue, and out of it. Though he was well within his legal rights to put a stop to it, Apfel did nothing, knowing full well he deserved it.

Yet word spread like wildfire once the battle began. In mere minutes, the whole of Cirra was tuned in, their hearts beating as one in support for Cirra's mightiest son, to stand up to the tyrant Hailing and destroy him once and for all. When Apfel was defeated, there was a collective gasp in shock, but a renewed hope that, in themselves, they could break off the shackles, Apfel being martyred for the cause of freedom.

Apfel was still alive, but they didn't know that.

They watched with renewed hope as this unknown alien, Jade Refera, got Hailing on the ropes. Do it, Jade!

Arcos - Magar Republican Headquarters

It's a common sci-fi trope that a spacefaring species must necessarily form a one-world government. This is untrue. Many great empires have formed throughout the history of the known universe, headquartered on a species' homeworld upon which it only held some fairly small territory. That didn't stop Hailing from beginning his Empire by uniting the vast, layered gas hypergiant of Arcos.

By 'uniting' it of course means 'forcing them to join him under penalty of death.'

However in the decades of the Empire's existence, this sense of self, this idea of regional and national independence from the greater Imperial polity has never gone away. Whether it be clandestine meetings in residental dwellings or done so openly as regional authorities, this desire for greater autonomy and even murmurings of secession has remained ever present. It is therefore, in some ironic twist of fate, that even on Hailing's home planet, gatherings took place such as in the capital building in the former nation of Magar, many Nationalists gathered in celebration, only somewhat quietly offering their moral support to the Rebel Alliance, and to Jade Referia to finish him off! Defeat the Tyrant Emperor!

In retrospect, maybe punching one of the stars that came at him wasn't the best idea, as it exploded into smaller stars struck Emperor quite strongly. After that, he became more diligent about dodging the stars, which he did with surprising ease. Living on a gas giant would make conceptualizing and visualizing three-dimensional movement quite simple.

He was taking damage, however.

Slushyou-who? Hailing asked. You can't expect me to remember everyone I kill. He then went with a different strategy. Spinning the katchin caltrop to incredible speed, he sent the metal projectile flying at the android with all his telekinetic force, intent on regaining the upper hand.

I... Asalute hesitated. This wasn't a kind of offer he was used to getting. There are a million-no. An infinite number of ways to kill something. It's time we learn just one that can heal. He sounded interested.

"Now see, a line like that right there? You find yourself saying that, there might just be something wrong with you. Just a thought. But honestly, I don't buy "becoming a legend" as being your goal, dude. I mean. your the Emperor of multiple galaxies, you've probably conquered and killed more planets than I can name, more people fear you than I can imagine....Hell, I only ever decided to do all this in the first place because of the reputation for slavery and genocide you've built, so much, that before I ever got Earth it was all I ever heard of you. If your goal is really to become a legend well um...."
She slow claps in sarcastic applaud as she flits around, casually dodging the caltrop while the rainbow trails lazily behind her.
"Congratulations? You achieved that? You won in that particular unimportant field? I honestly think your doing this for something else. I know why. Its why we are different. And why I'm going to win."
22 knew that she couldn't let him keep that thing around. Stupid caltrop with his telekinesis would only get worse if she tries to conjure more things. Yet could she really destroy it? Katchin was really hard for a reason. What could she do that- maybe. She just had a crazy idea.
"Masala! Dinner!"
22 grabs the caltrop as she calls this out, enduring the pain of slicing it into her hand then throwing it quick right into Masala's mouth who swallows and absorbs the caltrop. Then the Majin turns her entire body into katchin, losing elasticity for its hardness. While Masala shows off her metallic body while proclaiming herself "Metal Masala", Jade uses the distraction to yell out
"Chaos Buster!"
The strange funky floating cannon comes into existence over them all, rapid-firing off stars in a cone at Hailing faster and faster until it fires a big powerful rainbow beam from above, streaking down the sky, surging down to hit Hailing to hit him like a oncoming truck of love and friendship on steroids, then the cannon itself explodes into a sphere of stars as the beam ends, Jade singing out:

Stop trying to die,
Stop all the dodging,
Stop standing in our way!

Just surrender
For once in your life-

22 sings once again: "22 is not my naaaaaaaame!"

Jade sings once more:

For a second he laughed aloud holding his belly, with pain from the untrained action, and everyone join the laughter. He tipped down his hat, shadowing his eyes.
Lucifer, shaked, wondering what next would the stranger do."
"Well played Lucifer. Well played" and started to walk from there.
"W-w..wait!" Lucifer called after him, struggling to hold up his pants. "Why don't you stay? I... I will give present to each guest! And you are the first!" he handed him over the Horn Of Gaaled.

Common belillyans, found violence boring, and heavy neccaity at best. But this colorful and awesome display has caught him in awe. Also the defeat of Apfel, sent vibes of roars of joy- they were saved from Tsarbone and his treacherouse friend!
But from the palace, ministers, beraucrats and nobles were pale- this meant Knaazdon legally going to be the king. This arrogant fool might try lead a rebellion against Hailing, or insult him somehow...
"Does anyone know a good assasian?' someone has asked aloud.

Martin Victor gets confused by the laughing crowd and resolves to suck his thumb and take a nap untill things quiet down.

Max nodded at the response. And since Yankar didn't seem to be protesting, he set about explaining the technique the next time they were taking a break, "The Healing Waves technique is something I learned from a Namekian. While his own version of the technique was a natural talent that his elder had unlocked within him, I was, shall we say, a stubborn and precocious child. At the time, this namekian was the Guardian of Earth, and my father a medical researcher. Through the grapevine, it came to my father's attention that the Guardian could heal people, and while he was situated on The Lookout, he was not utterly averse to visitors. So, in the pursuit of expanding medical science, he arranged to meet with Earth's Guardian a number of times, to try and understand the underlying rules that governed that healing ability. I was along for those for lack of a babysitter."

As Max continued to explain, he stretched a bit, "Now, what he found was that our Guardian was using ki, much like any other natural ki user, but instead of forming it into a destructive wave-type, he was generating a nourishing, vitality boosting wave-type of ki. It turned out that his body was set up to do this, with a physiological difference in the way it generated ki as compared to a human body, or I suppose, most others. This made it rather hard for him to generate destructive ki, the basis for many a killing technique, but it was quite easy for him to generate vitality boosting, or healing, ki."

Max held up one of his arms, tracing the length of it with his fingers as he continued, "Now, my ki flows pretty normally, or at least it did at the time. Generating destructive ki is still the default setting, so to speak. But this is where a very important concept in human martial arts comes into play, a key aspect, even: Mind Over Matter. If you were to measure my power level based solely on raw energy generate by my body, it would only clock in at around, mmmm, maybe a hundred thousand now. But that's not what my power reads at, because my mastery of my mind over my physical limits has created a disparity there. Yankar's power level would likely be similar, if ever we found a way to measure just his raw, body based ki output."

Max moved his hands to rest on his lap as he continued, "Now, the important part of Mind Over Matter here is that you're going to use your emotions to make up the difference. Your body is already quite used to producing destructive ki, and both you and Freis have enough ki control to learn how to produce a different wave-type of ki. This is where emotions of compassion, empathy, a desire to help others comes into the picture. If you want, you could describe this technique as using love to generate healing ki. In particular, I find Agape to be the most effective mental state for generating ki of this type, at least initially. As you get more practiced with it, you'll probably get the hang of generating the healing ki type without relying on your emotions to bridge the gap."

Resting his hands on his knees, with the palms facing up, Max produced an example of the healing waves ki from his right hand. A golden cascading aura of energy that flowed out with a gentle warmth. To contrast it, he held a glowing blue ball of ki over his left hand, "It's not impossible to generate both at once, but it does take practice."

Almost on cue, Apfel flew into view of the cameras, carrying an unconscious Starlight in his arms. He was too injured to participate in the fight in any meaningful way, but that didn't mean he couldn't observe. His vision was correct, 23 did obtain the Flowey form's full power, and it was magnificent.

Finish it, Jade. He half-whispered.

Hailing smirked. Though they thought they disposed of the spinney-blade-thing, they just made it bigger. File that away for later though. Hailing was feeling more hopeful about his chances for victory when he noticed 23's latest attack. Literally half of the time, the blaster's bursts would miss him completely, and the other half, he only needed to shift his position slightly. A very inefficient use of energy, especially considering the bursts that even were aimed at him mostly missed. Plus, this is clearly her first usage of such a form, and knowing from experience, these massive augmentation forms burned through energy. Very, very quickly. He trained himself to control its power and use it efficiently, he could maintain this form for days, if he so wished. She, however, was burning energy wildly to simply get her special effects. He couldn't overpower her just yet, but his opportunity would come. All he has to do is wait, or so he thinks.

'Surrender?' Don't get cocky yourself, little toaster! He replied as he met the final blast of the Chaos Buster head-on, shielding himself with an energy wave of his own. Though he might be able to protect himself, that thought about Jade's inefficient use of ki was quite hypocritical as he was clearly exhausting himself.

This is an attrition battle, he realizes.

Try and dodge this! He exclaims as he raises his hand up. Suddenly, the ground rushed up to meet them, except that was not quite correct. Hailing used his telekinesis to lift the planet Alchior, and use the whole world as a gigantic battering ram against both androids.

As Namek is undergoing what the Empire believes to be an extinction event, they were passed over completely. The closest thing to Imperial influence that exists in the system is a single scientific outpost who watches, observes, and catalogues the events occurring on that world passively. Many of the scientists regularly make petitions to uplift the residents, the Namekians, who are confirmed native ki-users, but it is repeatedly denied.

That's interesting. Asalute put a hand under his chin, tail swishing behind him as he contemplated the possibilities. I can control my energy at the cellular level, it's the only reason I am still alive, but I liken it to...animation. Like some kind of undead monster. Hailing had...probably a dozen nicknames for me, but for some reason he liked 'zombie' the most. I know this is an odd question, but is that word known to you? Zombie? He extended a hand and created a sickly yellow ball of ki. This ball then split into two balls half the volume of the original, before further subdividing. 4. 8. 16. 32. 64, etc, each one smaller and smaller.

The point is, when I kept myself alive, I did so with my own determination, my will to live-no. No that's not true at all. My father...left our family, I never even remembered him, I was all my mother had. When I was dying, I thought endlessly about her, and the kind of...grief she would have to endure all over again. I couldn't let that happen. Not determination. Love. It was...so long ago, but maybe if I remember that feeling... The now cloud of irradiated energy in his hand began to take on a different hue, a warm, golden color.

Then it exploded in a blinding white burst.

As Hailing blocked and dodge, she continued singing:

Jade finishes up:

But the attack she had been about to do was interrupted as she suddenly started to feel more tired, and suddenly the ground came rushing up to them 22 suddenly throws herself in the way to shield her girlfriend from the planet slamming into her, even her forcefields being broken as they planet smashes through them and hits 22 head on. Jade cries out:
"NO!!"
As 22's form successfully gets hit by the planet instead of Jade, but cracks spread across her form, sparks spurting all across her body as it seems she is beginning to fall apart. 22 coughs from the blow, eyes wide. No. Impossible. Just from one blow she is dying? She looks back upon Jade, shaking and struggling. She sacrificed herself once to save Jade, when 21 was attacking them. She thought that it was enough to know that she would be safe, no matter what happened to her. But.....Jade without her, did everything in her power to get her back. Went to great extremes to have her in this timeline. Before 22 came back, she must've been the verge of breaking apart forever, the only thing holding her together had probably been the Dragon Balls and the promise of their wish.

If she died now.....what would happen to Jade? She would try to avenge her for certain, access even greater power.....or just flail in revenge and die in defeat. Either way the thought of bringing such pain on the one she loved....she couldn't accept that. She would not accept that. She would not let things end this way. She......she.....

She Refused.

Suddenly there is a new flash of light, this time it was red. When the crimson light faded, 22 floated upwards, suddenly clad in....simple brown pants, a green shirt with a yellow stripe, a yellow heart shaped locket and her hair was suddenly brown rather than black. A dark blue aura surrounded her, filled with little stars of the night sky. a strange orange circle forms behind her displaying the six stats of the world: ATK, DEF, SPD, PL, HP, GOLD. At the top of the circle was a little four-pointed star. 22 extends her arms and suddenly the multiply into six, one for each stat. There was no music to accompany this one. Her PL is at 150 million She calls out:

"My name- is Beryl! Referential Cosplay Style: Chara Cosplay."

She flies towards Apfel and Starlight and sings while she uses a new move: Watering Dream Gardens, red healing ki rays in the form of spray as if from a water can fires from her palms as if watering plants, trying to heal the two:

Jade meanwhile yells out "Chaos Sabers!" again while charging forward at Hailing to distract him from Beryl's healing, cutting him off at every opportunity and trying to give him no chance to interrupt Beyl's work, slashing and cutting at him in her prismatic flurry.

"Do it! You can do it! Freaking androids.....wait.....what is happening now!? I'll seriously have to do something to catch up with THIS nonsense...."
She comments from her guarding the governors.

[Hyperbolic Blinding Of The Light Time Chamber

Max nodded along as Asalute kept talking. He could feel the other was just about on the verge of getting it, and fought the urge to be a know it all by filling in the blanks. After all, it was more important for the students to fill in the blanks on their own (better if they realized there was a blank to fill), "Yes, stories of zombies were a niche horror entertainment for a while, but beyond that is sidetracking, go on." Max promptly clammed up to give Asalute the chance to continue, and smiled as he saw the color shift in Asalute's display of ki. He then let out a "Gah!" At the sudden explosion of white.

As he rubbed his eyes, Max mumbled, "The Goggles, they do nothing." before clearing his throat, "Ah, yeah...love for your family, or a particular parent. Seems like the right one to use for the healing technique. And the more you learn about anatomy and biology, the more your subconscious will be able to apply the healing energy to solve precise and commonly thought to be incurable conditions."

Fighting for Eternity?! Hailing chuckled. He was getting the upper-hand back, so to speak. She was lucky 22 absorbed most of the planet's force as it was forced upon them.

This is the first time you've used that form, isn't it? These transformations are energy-hungry. You're already weakening, I can tell. Plus, I doubt you can embrace the kiss of pain as I can. Hailing chatted as he avoided the Chaos Sabers with greater ease than last time, likely because Jade was tiring.

Also, who named your attacks? Why not...Kaleidoscopic Blade, Iridescent Razor, okay maybe those are a little long, Prism Swords? Ugh, it's like a ten-year-old kid whose dad was even worse at naming things came up with them. It's not like that didn't actually happen. Heheheh, nope. Definitely not.

Also, thank you for making the katchin thingie even bigger. He raised his hand, and used his telekinesis to grab Masala, attempting to use her in the same manner he previously used the katchin caltrop as a telekinetic projectile, sending her spinning like a buzz-saw before sending it flying at Jade, shifting its direction as she inevitably attempted to avoid it.

What ever your girlfriend is trying to do...it won't save you.
