D&D Kids
Hi!
A friend and I have created a web comic inspired by stuff kids say during D&D games. Here are a few of panels:
You can find the rest here.

Re: D&D Kids
I liked it. Most of kids comments made me chuckle.
I like the smartass one. Also the Golem story.
The Alignment one made me laugh out loud.

Re: D&D Kids
Its pretty funny.
I liked the mindcontrol one.
„Quick, Slap me.” :slap:
„No, with your character.”:BAM:
To be honest, I would have done the same. I mean, he asked for it."If it lives it can be killed.
If it is dead it can be eaten."

Eh, don't worry kids, the tentacle-guy is just a bit crancy because he didn't have his afternoon nap today.

Re: D&D Kids
My day job is running various RPG and board games as an after-school activity in schools and community centers. The comics are nearly verbatim quotes (translated of course) of stuff said by my players over the years. The stories are standalone and don't have to be read in any particular order, although we do plan to make some story arcs in the future. Hope this helps.
This is how it looks in real life in case you wondered...

Re: D&D Kids
One of my friend also do a similar thing in the US, some sort of after-school rpg in schools and community centers, and it's been running for a few years now, though apparently it stopped last year because not enough people or something, which is a shame.
I linked this to him, I thought he'll find it fun to have a comrade in arms.
And this comic itself is great, those kids are silly little psychopaths, which is expected of kidsYou got Magic Mech in My Police Procedural!

Dungeon World is what you are looking for. It is really simple to both DM and play and gives you the DnD experience just much simpler.

Re: D&D Kids
"We had a mission?" That line sounds familiar...
The GTA one is great. And very true.
But that "return violence to the world" adventure sounds awesome. For a Evil campaign I mean.
On the other hand making violence impossible is a great final step to any world conquering plan..."If it lives it can be killed.
If it is dead it can be eaten."

Ouch. The one about wisdom was mean.
Very true, since he had to ask, but mean.
I approve."If it lives it can be killed.

Re: D&D Kids
Wow, the lineart got really clean in some of these. And the different types of color in the strips is awesome. I like the one where the color was really muted, but the single panel of the giant is incredible. I think you have a great use of color either as a rarity, and if you go all the time with it it looks really good.
And also, these are all gold. I love the premise of bringing back violence into the world too. That's hilarious.. . .
