Re: WarKitty's Feline Frenzy Random Banter #216
The threads of a certain serial thread poster that I won't name but don't act like you don't know who it is always charms and delight.
I propose we make a spinoff which is just threads by him.Last edited by 90,000; 2017-07-29 at 09:21 PM.

Re: WarKitty's Feline Frenzy Random Banter #216
I mean, there is no rule stating that a poster isn't allowed to have their own thread, so long as there's discussion. In fact, there is currently a dialogue thread that has reached 22 pages in this very board. So, it is not without precedent.

Re: WarKitty's Feline Frenzy Random Banter #216
You misunderstand me.
I would not take away this person's posting privileges.
Au contraire, I would fight to keep them.
However they are too good to be lost in the shuffle amongst everything else.
On their own board they can flourish and reach their full potential.

Re: WarKitty's Feline Frenzy Random Banter #216
I think you misunderstand me. I didn't say anything about taking away privileges. I merely pointed out that such a thing as you desire is already possible, as long as it's not just multiposting/spamming.

I do not believe they are a bot, just given that I've seen them posting in the past, but if they are... kudos. You've fooled at least one person. Either way, contributions are being made in a non-disruptive way, so, I'd say mission accomplished.

Re: WarKitty's Feline Frenzy Random Banter #216
Home again from ancestral farm. It was a nice, if a bit rainy, visit. The last days got better, and I finally got some decent swimming into my vacation. Also, my forearms are striped because diving in shallow water is a bad idea. Given, some can be blamed on our bathing jetty having shifted and become a little unstable, so I didn't dare to take a jumping dive, and instead picking a method which gave me less control of my angle of attack. And then fumbling. Still, striped arms!
(It's also funny how you lose all sense of momentum under water. What felt like it should be a light bump into the bottom gave me 10 cm long scratches...)
I also saw a pair of pine needles hanging suspended midair by an invisible spider thread running all the way up to the treetops. And worked on the garden. And walked in a pair of newly bought hiking boots. And took carefree walks on the empty forest roads. And spent a lot of time inside due to the aforementioned rain. I love our farm. Oh, and we concluded that in two years, our family will have been on this farm for a full century, and that will warrant a celebration of some sort.Clouddreamer Teddy by me, high above the world, far beyond its matters...

Home from family friend's wedding.
Someone at the reception thought I was crashing it.

Oh I know, but my answer to 'how do you know the bride and groom' was slow and confuzzled. I basically implied I had no idea who the bride or groom were, and I'd spent the whole event avoiding interacting with anyone for more than 30 seconds. So I can see why she thought I was a stranger.
She was mortified later when she found out I was invited, and also just that bad at social skillsLast edited by HalfTangible; 2017-07-30 at 04:57 PM.

It doesn't get any better from here on... although from what I recall I would have thought you'd still be at the age where that sort of thing can be shrugged off fairly easily.
I do wish I'd got into a proper fitness regimen a few years ago rather than having to try to start from scratch now. Like so many people, I took my fitness and metabolism rather for granted (especially during the period of manual labour where I was getting a decent workout just doing my job) and only started to pay attention to it when it started to decline - by which point it was already so much harder to do anything about than it would have been if I'd started sooner.GITP Blood Bowl Manager Cup

Re: WarKitty's Feline Frenzy Random Banter #216
Turned 25 a week ago. I'll, well, say, that I was doing full on rave level dancing majority of the time. I've also got two weeks of travelling behind me, mostly done by sitting on the bus or cycling everywhere. Those moves were the last straw.
Cycling's got me in a relatively good shape, but I really need to start lifting. My arms are utter crap.Originally Posted by LaZodiac

Re: WarKitty's Feline Frenzy Random Banter #216
Ouch. Luckily, I only have to do that about once a week (stupid Sunday bus schedule), but, still, walking 40 minutes first thing in the morning... not fun. So, I hope that you have less than that to walk, at least.
Edit: Oh, huh. We've hit 50 pages. Hopefully no one has any objections if I start up the new thread?

Yeah, threads over 50 pages tend to break the forum, so when it hits 50 pages or so someone starts a new one and we all head over there.

Re: WarKitty's Feline Frenzy Random Banter #216
My grandmother has two cats. (Well, three, but Brenna's still halfway feral.) They (the two tame ones) are completely indifferent to my existence - I am told this is normal for cats.
I'd like to be on friendlier terms with them, and this seemed like the thread on which to ask: how can I go about getting the cats to like me a little more?
[Edit: oh, new thread, I'll go there, sorry.]Last edited by AuthorGirl; 2017-08-27 at 10:22 PM.
