I do not think the new Youtube layout is good. In fact, I'd call it quite the opposite of good, it is ungood. Ungood at a severity that could be noted with a plus, or rather two. Double plus ungood, if you will.

I seriously hate the Facebook mobile app. It's the buggiest mess of a program I've ever seen. I get constant notifications that it's slowing down my tablet, it crashes frequently, and even when it's "working" it often isn't working right. Lately when I tap on a trending news topic (apparently on my tablet I get trending topics but not on my phone for some reason), it goes to a completely different topic, sometimes one that wasn't even listed.

I think after finishing the complete works of Shakespeare, that infinite number of monkeys started coding and produced the Facebook app.

I just got back stateside from China. I can't actually tell if I slip into speaking Chinese to people from time to time. Over there it's easy and sometimes necessary to flow back and forth so it is a natural reflex. Not so much where we live in the US. I think I was talking to my neighbor about the recent flood and when talking about the inevitable condemnation and tearing down of several properties might have halfway through started speaking in Chinese. Or I was mumbling so bad I was impossible to understand anyway. But I'll never really know.

It's really "fun" when I start trying to talk to the cashier during checkout and I default to Chinese. And then the awkward pause and blank stares waiting for the other person to say something. On the plus side it should be out of my system in about a month.

Well see, unlike this pony crap, Steven Universe is actually GOOD. I tried watching MLP once, I came to the conclusion that it was a reasonably competent if not exceptional kid show and I couldn't possibly care less about it. Steven Universe, however, is excellently written, has better morals that kids aren't rolling their eyes at and most adults don't have down yet, good animation (except season 1), great characters and songs. And a lot of jokes I only wish went over my daughters' heads.

I'm not even sure if this is the right place to vent something like this, but here goes.

I have my job mainly because an assistant manager insisted on extending a one-day temp gig to several weeks and eventually got me hired directly. That assistant manager is going to be leaving the company soon, so I made it a point of writing her a thank you letter. Later she told me that getting that letter really made her day, while close to tears. When I saw the HR director in the hallway later on she told me that the assistant manager told her that it was the nicest letter she'd ever received. While I tried to laugh it off, I'm honestly not sure how I feel about that.

Sorry if I come off as humble-bragging, I'm genuinely baffled about this.
