I'm not nearly as sure of my affiliations as I pretend to be, and I'm pretty sure that I'm so malleable that if I ended up in the wrong company, I could be manipulated into doing horrible things.

Something I've been hoping would happen for years has happened. Mixed with my pleasure at its having happened is selfish regret that:
a) something which has been a specialist interest of mine for most of my adult life is now something on which everyone has an opinion
b) it's happened now rather than a few years in the future (or in the past) when I'd have been better-positioned to take advantage of it.

I've come to the conclusion that I like the idea of Halloween more than the actual holiday itself.

I like the spooky atmosphere and ghost stories and all that, but I don't really like horror films.

I like seeing people's cool decorations, but I can't be arsed to put up any of my own (even before I moved to an apartment where no one's going to see them anyway).

I like seeing people's cool costumes, but I used to dread having to come up with one of my own.

I like candy and I used to like going trick or treating, but I hate answering the door for trick or treaters because it's impossible for me to get involved in actually doing anything when I could have to step away and answer the door at any minute.

It's a metal concert, my brother and I are going to go see Sabaton (Kreator is the opening act). We're planning to get there really early so we can get to the front, which means we'll most likely be in the wall of death. Whatever information you have would be nice.

Well, there is some courtesy rules: in a mosh pit don't use spiked brazalets, don't give kicks with the boots, if someone falls stop and make a security area to help the person. And remember it is a mosh pit or a wall of death, you will get some light bruises that is part of the fun :)

No, it is in fact usual to wear a shirt of one of the bands, at least here in Spain.

Some people say that it's not "cool" to wear the shirt of the band actually performing (unless it's a new shirt you bought at the concert, I presume). Personally, I think that's silly. How is showing your support of the band you paid to see a bad thing?

I say wear what you want to wear, as long as it isn't going to get you arrested for public indecency (i.e. don't go naked).
