False advertising on the back cover of OtOotPCs
One the back cover of OtOotPCs, it says that the book contains
Spoiler"72 pages of all-new, never-seen-before-or-since OOTS action and comedy"
This is technically not true. Some parts of the scene where
SpoilerEugene comes to visit Roy in the library to tell him about the Blood Oath of Vengance
were lifted directly into SoD, and a colorized version of the scene where
SpoilerDurkon is thrown out
appears in the main comic.
Clearly, this MAJOR inaccuracy irreparably mars my enjoyment of the book :PLast edited by Procyonpi; 2017-02-23 at 10:47 PM.

Re: False advertising on the back cover of OtOotPCs
The Giant clearly has history of shameless deception for his readers.
IIRC, at the end of SoD, we have MitD being surprised that the scene of the cover of the book did not happen (since Xykon was still human for this scene and not a lich yet). He's told that it's marketing! Or something like that.
Even worse. Sir Not-Appearing-In-This-Book DOES appear-in-this-book. It's not even in a bonus strip or after the statement, it's before! Another plain lie from the Giant. Another confusion to the readers.
Clearly the Giant can't handle the simplest continuity in his long-winded story! Blame him!Posting from France
Sorry for my accent.

Re: False advertising on the back cover of OtOotPCs
Wait- there was something written on the back cover?
If I read it now, after I've already read the book, have I by default negated its claim since I saw what was inside when I read the inside of the book?
WHEN DID LIFE GET SO COMPLICATED???

Re: False advertising on the back cover of OtOotPCs
Don't tell me about it! That's why I buy my OotS books from street-sellers who pirated and published it. It's much cheaper that way.

Re: False advertising on the back cover of OtOotPCs
There is a very simple explanation for this.
The author of the book you're reading is a spawn of the Abyss. The writer is attempting to take you down to the course of mindless circular thinking you must burn the book now ( although the downward spiral has already been started in your case.)
Doing so will make my copy more valuable!

Re: False advertising on the back cover of OtOotPCs
Objection overruled, counselor. My copy of OtOotPCs is part of a printing from November 2008, well after the publication of SoD. Furthermore, the book was clearly altered for the later printing, as it contains ads for SoD, NCFtPBs, and WaXP.
This Burlew fellow will change his books to plug his new products, but won't change fluff text on the back that is now technically inaccurate for maybe 1% of the book's content! Will nobody stand up to this madness?!?!?!?!
