He sweeps his tail forward in an attempt to blast Castiana to the ground.

The black dragon roars in pain and falls to the ground. From behind them, the citizens jolt to attention and start to swarm around the area. They need to leave, now.

Castiana sheathes her sword and turns to the two royals. "We need to get out of here before more dragons show up." She starts walking, keeping close to the prince and princess.

The group flees into the plains beyond. Castiana doesn't like how out in the open they are, but she doesn't see any nearby foliage they could hide inside.

[Diachronos]

As they leave the city behind, she turns to them. "Are either of you injured?"

[NeoSeraphi]

They both show her some minor acid burns, and Sol is still bleeding from the dragon's claw.

[Diachronos]

She uses her healing ability to patch up their injuries.

The two of them thank her for the aid. Sol looks across the landscape. "It's so barren...there will be no shelter from the rain or cold...or anyone who looks for us."

"I know. We should go as quickly as we can, the faster we can reach the capital the less likely we are to run into trouble before we get there."

[NeoSeraphi]

Sol and Magmal agree and the group sets out on a long journey across the plains, even as night falls.

They arrive in very bad shape, with Castiana the worst of the group, but they have made it to Infernus.

Until the group rests for eight hours, Sol and Magmal are fatigued. Castiana is exhausted.

Castiana is struggling to keep her eyes open as she turns to Magmal. "Your Highness, shall we go straight to the palace? Or would you prefer to find a place to rest first?"

Magmal looks worried. "I think we better lie low until we find out more about the impostor who gave an address in my name."

[Diachronos]

Castiana nods, and heads with them to find an inn in the city's outer district.

Castiana spies an inn named The White Scales near the docks, far from any foot traffic. Now she needs to determine how she can disguise the two royals.

She finds a pair of glasses with the lenses missing, which Magmal puts on. A bit of discarded shoe polish helps to make Sol's scales seem much less metallic and shining. Finally, a purple scarf around Sol's neck helps to distract from his face.

The group heads inside the inn. The barkeep, a male blue dragon, looks up at her with a raised eyebrow.

[Diachronos]

Castiana stifles a yawn. "Good evening. My companions and I were hoping to rent a room for the night. Do you have any available?"

[NeoSeraphi]

The dragon looks her over. "We don't allow solicitation here," he says after a moment.

Castiana is confused, until she realizes that he thinks she might be engaging in some sort of 'arrangement' with the two dragons behind her, and offering some 'services' to them at his establishment.

[Diachronos]

Castiana shakes her head. "It's nothing like that, sir. I am a bodyguard, nothing more."

The barkeep nods. "Alright, then. Three rooms is 10 gp. If you want a meal, that's another 3 silver each."

Castiana starts digging out the coins. "I don't suppose you have rooms with multiple beds, do you? Even one with just two beds would do."

The innkeeper narrows his eyes. "I just told you, no solicitation!" he replies sternly.

[Diachronos]

She sighs and hands over the gold, as well as payment for two meals. "I suppose it can't be helped, then..."
