NotCon homebrew contests on Wizards
For those of you that don't know, Wizards has a week of games and contests of all sorts every year called UnCon. This year however they decided not to run it so a bunch of us came together to bring it about ourselves.
Here are links to a handful of the homebrew creation contests...
Creature contest
Combat Feat contest
Prestige Class contest
Spell Synergy contest
Subtle Psionics contest
Upper Planar Locales contestLast edited by The Vorpal Tribble; 2007-11-07 at 08:41 PM.

Ah, thanks Vorp!
Whatsoever that be within us that feels, thinks, desires, and animates, is something celestial, divine, and, consequently, imperishable.

Re: NotCon homebrew contests on Wizards
Can I post a possible entry here then submit it on the wizards' board? I have the same name there so I hope that will counter act any plagiarism accusations.

Hmm. There are quite a few classes I have posted here. I wonder if I should copy it and post it there.

I have heard bad things about the terms of use policy there... maybe they are just covering there <donkeys> (in case of parallel development) but I heard they reserve the right to publish anything that gets put up.
Can you speak to that?[Public Service Announcement]P.E.A.C.H stands for Please Examine And Critique Honestly[/Public Service Announcement]

My Homebrew is meant to be used, but, if you do, PLEASE tell me how it goes.

Re: NotCon homebrew contests on Wizards
All entries need to be something new if at all possible (and not posted on Wizards at all).
And yes, you can post your entry here, no problem.

So no, can't really speak to any of it.Last edited by The Vorpal Tribble; 2007-11-08 at 08:54 AM.

True, but those are the best kind of lawyers. Or at least the most fun to watch fight.

Re: NotCon homebrew contests on Wizards
Hey Tribble, I have
twothree questions for you:
1) Can I submit two entries if they are extensions of each other?
2) Other serious are the feat entries supposed to be? I've written up a mostly serious feat, but looking at the current entries, I starting to think mine is too serious. Do I have less of a chance because of that?
Thanks

Re: NotCon homebrew contests on Wizards
Basically, the first feat gives you a unique ability (the sigtar is based off of it) and I was considering making a subsequent feat that enhanced the first's ability. Would this second feat be allowed, or would it be best to just post the first and leave the second out?
Well, it needs to be a feat that would actually be chosen by someone. It can be humorous if you like, but if it's not really usable it will get points taken away I would have to think. Really, half of those submitted aren't even really feats. Just 'haha, make some words and put feat over it, tee hee'... ugh, agonizing.
Thanks, for answering!
