    Zanan's axe utterly annihilates a cultist.

    The closest cultists (6) turn and attack Jutta, Ornug, and Zanan (2 ea.) with their scimitars. There are 13 of them left.

    Two of the cultists run over to the minotaur skeleton's cave and use keys to open the lock. In a few seconds, it'll charge straight for Jutta, Ornug, and Zanan.
    Another two cultists run over to the zombies' cage and unlock it, saying "kill and eat the intruders".
    Two of the cult fanatics, the ones with staffs, flank the Necromancer, while the others start down the stairs and cast Sacred Flame on Ornug and Zanan.
    Ornug's Dex save: (1d20+1)[17] to avoid (1d8)[2] radiant
    Zanan's Dex save: (1d20+3)[9] to avoid (1d8)[7] radiant
    The two cult fanatics still with the Necromancer fire magical rays out of their staffs: Six Scorching rays. One hits each of Zanan, Zuzu, Ornug, Arkhen, Daar, and Altiui. (These are attack rolls).
    Zanan: (1d20+4)[12] hit: (2d6)[6] fire damage.
    Zuzu: (1d20+4)[8] hit: (2d6)[5] fire damage.
    Ornug: (1d20+4)[7] hit: (2d6)[5] fire damage.
    Arkhen: (1d20+4)[9] hit: (2d6)[9] fire damage.
    Daar: (1d20+4)[18] hit: (2d6)[8] fire damage.
    Altiui: (1d20+4)[13] hit: (2d6)[10] fire damage.
    The Necromancer kneels next to the body of the dead Beholder, dripping the blood from his wrists into its slack mouth as he opens his palms upward.
    The two flumphs continue telepathically talking to everyone in the room.
    There's an old saying. "Never summon an angel to a party". I'm sure you can guess why.
    Ghouls, Undead Stoats, Banshees, Ghosts. Some parties are a lot less lively with an undead host.

    Taking stock of the situation, the boy decides to distract the necromancer from whatever he is doing - mental resistance notwithstanding - before he manages to do foul, unnatural things with the dead beholder!

    Altiui rolls her eyes at all the poetry and weirdness. She's dealt with enough of that with the fey. She knows better than to get involved if she doesn't have to. She settles for trying to ruin the Necromancer's work by summoning forth a blazing sphere of fire atop the beholder corpse.

    Casting Flaming Sphere on top of the beholder corpse. Using bonus action to have it slam into the Necromancer.

    Any creature that ends its turn within 5 feet of the sphere must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw. The creature takes 2d6 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
    Necromancer has to make save vs (2d6)[10] fire damage immediately from the bonus action attack from it.

    I don't know how many HP a beholder corpse would have. So I guess we'll see how well this works.

    Rashad's arrow hits the necromancer, but it only seems to damage his skull necklace.
    Jutta decapitates a cultist.
    Daar's mace attack misses the cultist.
    Arkhen's arrow misses.
    Ornug's hammer attack misses.
    Zanan's axe utterly annihilates a cultist.

    Six cultists attack Jutta, Zanan, and Ornug, 2 each. Jutta takes no hits, Ornug takes 1 hit, and Zanan takes 1 hit.

    Two cult fanatics cast Sacred Flame on Ornug and Zanan, hitting Zanan and missing Ornug.
    The other two cult fanatics fire six Scorching Rays out of their staffs; Only Daar suffers the effects of one of the rays.
    The necromancer starts casting a ritual to animate the beholder corpse.

    Ox's bolt hits the necromancer in the head, but the only effect it seems to have is that one of the skulls shatters.
    Zuzu's mind attack fails.
    Altiui's flaming sphere slams into the necromancer; One of his red-glowing skulls stops glowing, and he is unharmed.

    Daar's attack damages a cultist, but doesn't kill it.
